In this video we are comparing smaller speakers that are made for specific uses, like listening in the shower, while riding your bike or scooter, and other weird things you can do with small bluetooth speakers. The JBL Clip 4 is a steal at its current price, while the Wonderboom 2 is the best sounding, and the Bose Soundlink Micro just kind of falls short for me. I do like it's carry handle though that can fit around bicycle handles. - Věda a technologie
The ue wonderboom2 is perfect for portable speaker. Indoors or outdoors you got 360 sound. A few brands can offer that portability and similar sound.
I have used wonderboom 2 since 8 months and it still performs the same as it was before and its Bluetooth range is awesome for that price range
Perfect review ! Made it easy to decide what to buy
Love this video so much, watched it two times. Thank you and greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
I have a UE Roll that is due for replacement. The only thing that is kind of holding from buying the WB2 is the micro-usb connector. It means another cable / charger to bring with me.
Bose micro i have owned for years and i love love love it, size is perfect, it thumps with bass and you can eq it for vocals or more highs if you want. It's also indestructible. Seriously. It also has bluetooth low energy which means even when it's off, like totally off, it uses a tiny amount of power to send out a bluetooth signal at all times, so you can connect to it without going to it and turning it on. That means it can sit in another room and you can blast from it just by connecting to your phone, even if you haven't touched it for a week! Or it can sit in your backpack and you can start music without even taking your bag off and the speaker is TOTALLY POWERED OFF. It's insane, most underrated feature. I have the wonderboom too but without the low energy bluetooth thing I just don't use it, yes it's a little louder but it has so much mid and high that's it's overbearing and harsh as f***, if you try to EQ it to have more bass and less highs, it can't do it really, it tries but gets less than 50 percent of the bass from the smaller bose. Whereas the bose is indestructible, it's been dropped down flights of stairs multiple times, it has a rubber outside so it bounces, it lives in my shower and has never been damaged by the water, the UE boom has a terrible flap covering the usb port which i guess is all the waterproofing it has, no internal presumably like the bose does otherwise why the flap...bose doesn't have the flap. If you have read this, please trust me and get the bose, it's more convenient, portable, hardy, and sounds great, a perfect package.
I listened to it in Walmart 11.13.23. Wow !! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing from such a tiny speaker. It’s amazing. I have a old sound link mini and I love it. The battery is still going strong but it’s not rugged tho. This micro is $120 now. I think I rather spend $30 more and get the Bose soundlink flex. It’s even better sound and it floats.
Hi Danny finally got my wonderboom 3 in, sound is more defined clearer highs and better bass but the 2 and 3 are very close
Just the review i was looking for!
Awesome channel and review!
Awesome channel and content!
I love love love everything about the WonderBoom 2 but the sound signature. I love that it’s omnidirectional, built like a tank, water proof, gets super loud and it looks cool. My only small grievance is the WB2 is very mid focused and it’s a smidge anemic is the bass. At least to my ears that’s the case. I hope this gets rectified with the WB3, which is way over due btw
I think most speakers of its size lack in lower bass unless you spend a tad more for the JBL charge 5. Personally I love my Wonderboom and my Wonderboom 2 both of them have the best soundstage to size ratio for any speaker I’ve heard. If you’re willing to spend some more money and want to stay in the UE family don’t buy anything else from them other than the Hyperboom. The boom and mega boom lines are just more of the same mid bass and midrange focus. My Hyperboom has been the center focus for all of the party’s I’ve brought it to and even sounds better than my car’s stereo so I use it whenever I drive people around. For 400 bucks it can’t be beat for sheer power at maximum volume.
@@Hippoman55 I agree, the wonder boom and Hyperboom are the only speakers to get from UE. Anything in between those sizes you’re better off with JBL.
Why can’t they use the speakers like the soundcore flare 2 uses I love the WONDERBOOM design as well great for the pool area new colors on the WONDERBOOM 3 I hope the sound signature is a little better Amazon had them now for sale still micro usb?
@@billdepalma161 Yeah sadly the Wonderboom 2 is still micro usb. If you want a better sounding speaker get the Earfun Uboom L with Oluv’s Gadgets discount code. It’s not a 360 degree speaker but it does sound smoother and more high end than the Wonderboom 2 if the 360 degree sound is important and you only have the original Wonderboom then go ahead and upgrade to the second one it does sound better and gets louder with less distortion. If you really want to be the life of the party and want to stay in the UE family get the Hyperboom it won’t disappoint you and is worth every penny plus you can buy refurbished for a lot cheaper.
@@Hippoman55 I got many JBL speakers flips charge 3,4,5all the big SONY XB SPEAKERS BOSE ETC SOUNDCORE FLARE PLUS ETC ALL THE UE SPEAKERS SOUND THIS WAY EXCEPT THAT BIG BOX SPEAKER THEY HAVE
I have the JBL Clip 4. I think it sounds really good but the thing that its rubbers are falling apart is true though. For sound quality its really good for my daily use. I always use that on my motorcycle ride.
I heard you playing a bit of classical music at the end of the review What is you opinion on how good the Wonderboom 2 sounds with Classical music? I assume it would sound great for orchestral volume, but in terms of the detail of different instruments? Do you perhaps have more classical music to give an opinion on that? I listen mainly to classical music and my Clip 4 (which for me did quite well with classical music) finally broke down so I am looking for a new tough waterproof Bluetooth speaker.
Thank You so much for the review. I will get the wonder boom something or other. I am driving a 2000 mile trip with no Bluetooth or radio so I want my IPhone Music. Thank You!
Bose is not for everyone. I love the Bose sound signature, I just crave bose sound. I think it gives the instruments 'body' and keeps everything separate in a nice way.
Use a zip tie and make a loose loop any size you need. Get the one with the best frequency response. That’s what I am trying to find for Orchestra
I have a clip4 and the rubber feet on the back of the speaker are peeling off. Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks bro! Bass better in WB?
TJ Maxx has Clip 4 fot $44 I thought of returning, but multiple reviews show that you're not going to get much more for the money. I notice that all speakers go on belt waist band if nothing else
to test the Bose micro you had to have it lying down as that is how it is used
Keep up the good work
Defo agree with the wonderboom, but the best thing on that table is the funky zoom f6 👍
Fully agree with you.
The Boom is superior
I went with the clip 4 vecause i needed a flat design mostly for backpacking and clip on my car since i got my stereo stolen and i clip under the driver's seat.
But, i am a big fan of ultimate ears and the wonderboom's sound quality is just amazing. I used to have the sightly bigger ones and never failed me.
In my country wonderwoom is way more expensive than the clip 4 but if you have the money I'd go for it. I wish Ultimate Ears could make an outdoor version of the Wonderwoom, but so far my flip 4 is doing quite well, though not the same quality at all
You're awesome :) and Thank you!
But what is the battery life on all 3?
I have a jbl clip 4 on my golf bag. Small light but not the best sound. Do you think the wonderboom sound is worth the sacrifice in size, weight, and cost vs the Clip 4?
I would say yes. The wonderboom 2 sounds incredible for it's size, but i mean you already have the JBL and the form factor works for your golfing it sounds like :)
The stuff that falls apart with the JBLs are the rubbers that are attached to the speaker grill. So for my charge 5 it’s the rubber stripes at the base of the speaker.
Not a deal breaker cause they sound awesome for us regular folk. But the wonderboom is bang for the buck. Nice for traveling.
I have them all Bose micro is nice but needs an upgrade they released a smoke white and stone blue edition they still make a orangee color which is cool but Bose is slow on upgrades the Wonderboom 2 is on at 17 watts output but just don’t like UE sound no depth the JBL CLIP 4 sounds best clear crisp sound and nice lows at 100 hz to 20,000 kHz JBL is king just awesome sound on all their speaker line. I use my speakers inside I never abuse them I like them looking new. To my ears JBL CLIP 4 is best the JBL flip 6 blows them all away lol.
You put a drawstring around your bike bar with a half inch slack and clip clips to that band. I had a couple clip 4s but was always feeling cheated because of the so called clearance $40. I switched to a armful of multiple generic clip called Pulse that were $5 at 5 Beloe during the Holiday. They have multiple functions of FM radio, micro sd card reader so that you are not draining your phone battery and even a thumb drive player for cheap old technology alternative & of course bluetooth which is more stable than the thumb drive that skips unless completely still in room or bathroom. Unlike most small 5 below slash Bass Jaxx speakers, The Pulse SCREAMS on LOUD Max volume. Battery life is about 1.5 rather than 2 when maxed volume but at this price I can keep a spare in each pocket for 3 hours play and my jogs & speedball never go beyond 45 minutes each way in a single outting. Other sacrifices include the clip itself is not as durable but I just supported it with preemptive electric tape. At $5 The Pulse is basically disposable. Any issues? Throw away & reveal a stored one. I'm no hoarder. I purchased as gifts then discovered no one was into speakers like me so I ended up keeping. I'll link my review separately in these comments.
The difference between the Wonderboom 2 and 3 is like the Emberton 1 and2 I gave my son the Emberton for part of his bday gift he loves it he’s into musical instruments as well. Works from home these days it’s on his desk.
I have a clip 4 and is NOT impressed After a year of use it starts to switch of even if I pump it just slightly against something, while my Clip 3 NEVER gave problems, even after surviving a 4m fall. In the end it charger point got worn out, so I had top replace it. Clip 4 for me not nearly a durable as Clip 3.
Went to the shops the bose gave me a headache it was tinni and annoying metallic sounding, but obviously the smallest. The wonderboom sounded the best and the clip 4 was close, but the clip 4 feels heaps portable to clip on a back pack.
In terms of price-quality ratio, the Wonderboom 2 is better than Bose SoundLink Flex?
I love the wonderboom 2 a lot. But the Bose Flex may be in a different tier due to its size and price. The bose will have a more full sound.
I got me the Bose but when I saw the boom 2 I returned the Bose and got me the $100 boom2 The sound on the boom 2 is Way better
my clip 3 is a solid speaker, BUT.. yes.. FFS.... the clip latch fell apart literally within 3-4 weeks?
I've watched a few reviews now comparing the Bose Micro to some other similar class of Micro Bluetooth Speakers.
I'm surprised I thought it was a new speaker, and am discovering that it's an older design with older tech, perhaps some new colors, not sure. I like the shape and size of the Bose, the mic on it sounds terrible. There is no EQ from what I understand. I think I can do it though software on the phone though, if I use Spotify for example, I think I have a 10 band Eq, and some other players also have eq adjustment.
I own 2 Ultimate Ears Boom 3's and through the app you can have party mode, and there is an Eq as well, 5 band I believe. That Wonderboom sounded pretty good, seems like that "Forest" mode is like a loudness button. I like the styling of the JBL and Bose better. Good review. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Danny the Wonderboom 3 is releasing August 31 vibrant colors still using micro usb though. Still retails at 99.00
Ohhhhhh thanks I wanna check that bad boi out
@@DannyPops me too I love when new speakers release
Bose is all bass... sounds bad...
I was using wonderboom 2 for years but it broke. So I am looking around if I should get the same or something else.
use case - SHOWER
Lol my JBL Clip 4 fell apart 🥴. Too many falls in the shower. Thankfully it was under 1 yr warranty and they shipped me a new one. Sound isn’t anything amazing like u mentioned. Buuuuuuuut I just ordered the Marshall Woburn 3 so I’m super pumped to receive it and compare how terrible my lil JBL sounds next to it 🤣
Nice you are going to love it I'm betting!! And JBL has usually been really good with their product support I've seen.
Just bought wonderboom 2 on a whim because I was at best buy today and saw they had a package of two of them for a hundred bucks. Currently waiting for them to charge while watching videos like this. Lol
Same! Except i got the wonderboom 3. My sony battery died. I only use for shower so. But i love that this one is much louder than the sony
Hi Danny Amazon now has the UE WONDERBOOM 3 for sale just ordered mine it arrives Monday look forward to your review on this item
Yeah and I heard it's still got a USB micro instead of C port!?
@@DannyPops some company’s take time to change over and others are on top of it one fellow replied the 2 and 3 are identical battery is 14 hours colors are different I hope the sound is tweaked still no app it’s an awesome sized speaker I’ll see tomorrow
Where can I get this stand from?
Look like Ikea’s MÖJLIGHET

Sony XB100 is the new micro speaker king.
cool man
Bose lo máximo
excellent video you certainly have a good ear, the wonderboom2 destroys the others
Bose is dull, wonderboom is has more base but less crisp, jbl less boomy but crisp...
wonderboom is ugly and doesn't fit in my pocket so I threw over my neighbors house and bought the Bose micro. never looked back and funny thing I saw my neighbor using it the wonder boom when cleaning his back yard haha. wonder boom is trash XD
Wonderboom 2 sounds wide but doesn't sound anemic compared to Bose micro.
No highs, no lows, you know it’s Bose
I love my ue love the feature on the buttom
