- India has criticised a report in the Washington Post, which alleged that an Indian official had played a role in a plot to assassinate a Sikh separatist leader in the US. In a statement, India’s foreign ministry called the report unwarranted and unsubstantiated. Ishan Garg reports from New Delhi.

India is only meant for Hindus. Ancient India was established, ruled & maintained solely by Hindus. There were no such minority finority back then and we were happy & prosperous. We Hindus would be more than happy to send these unsafe minorities back to their countries

Well, it's not just WP, the newspaper, but also the White House which has officially made the same claim. India set up a high level committee to investigate the Canadian/US claims in 11/2023, but no result out of it yet (even after 5+ months). In the meantime, the indictment, arraignment and the prosecution of the Indian national for the attempted murder plot of the Sikh lawyer Pannu, is going well as per schedule in NY. India will easily dump the Indian murder suspect as the "collateral damage" to protect the RAW leader and the officer who was silently transferred from RAW to CRPF in 2023. India will be in deeper trouble, when this murder suspect starts "talking" to DOJ to get a "deal" from the prosecutors in the criminal case.
Unless there is a full proof credible proof, the investigation will go on as it is.
Also, the larger issue here is the motive behind US and canada to give safe havens to anti india terrorists. Imagine if india gave safe harbour to anti american extremists. How differently the world would have reacted.
India demands accountability from friendly nations (us, uk, canada) to come clean and stop giving a free space to extremists who call to break india, and threaten the lives of indian diaspora. .
The Indian National aka Nikhil Gupta himself is a criminal and has been living outside India. Washington Post's claims are crap and unsubstantiated.
