Ninja Gaiden, released in Japan as Ninja Ryūkenden (忍者龍剣伝, lit. Ninja Dragon Sword Legend) and in Europe as Shadow Warriors, is a 1988 side-scrolling beat-'em-up game, originally released by Tecmo as a coin-operated arcade video game. It was first released in North America and Europe in late 1988, and then in Japan in February 1989. It was the first game released in the Ninja Gaiden franchise. The arcade game was a major commercial success in North America, becoming the highest-grossing arcade conversion kit of 1989 in the United States.

My first console game back then in 80's was Ninja Gaiden , and when found in the arcades a Ninja Gaiden with a different design was confusing but at the same time amazing, i loved this game so much. So marvelous amount off effort to put so many details in a game and explore new mechanics bringin more variety to the golden genre of the "beat 'em up" so popular in 80's and 90's.
I wish they would bring the arcade version to PlayStation five or any console for that matter I’ve looked for a ninja Gaiden arcade machine can’t find them. It’s impossible.
I played this game after school in a bar popular for its arcades . What I love about the games was its various enemies , the huge colored backgrounds . We have to congratulate the team of developers for this work of art . I heard about ninja gaiden trilogy for console in early 2000s , it's so different from the arcade ,
@@tunkunrunk Absolute Yes, Console Version is amazing game but the arcade game uses in a exceptional way every additional bit and hz of power in a cool game. Bot version was peak in their times.

My first console game back in the 90's was Mario, I've never played this game or a game called Ninja Gaiden. I wish I bought those games to see how it was back then
