To be fair, I think Weiss is perfectly justified in being salty toward Raven. I mean, she did stomp her in the face and then locked her up to ransom her.

Regarding the whole magic discussion, a person's aura is, according to Volume 1, a manifestation of that person's soul. It's arguably not "magical" from the perspective of the people of Remnant, but rather a spiritual power that every living thing possesses (except the Grimm-they have no souls). The same can be said of semblances, which are simply expressions of aura unique to the individual.* Meanwhile, dust is a naturally occurring resource that can be manipulated and processed. It is used in almost every aspect of society on Remnant and likely about as magical to the people of Remnant as metals and metal alloys are to us.
*For the sake of clarity, while every living thing has aura, not all living things can use it. One must be trained to use one's aura for defense and healing, and the majority of civilians apparently don't pursue that training.

“A bird is known by its song, a man by his words”. We can identify birds from the sounds they make, just as we can identify people from what they say. This is Raven’s assertion that Ozpin has omitted and bent enough truths to not be trustworthy.

I think the reason raven left yang was so yang would be strong on her own and wouldnt have to be protected. Esentially it was extreme tough love. She wanted yang to experience the world on her own and become strong and learn on her own which is why she didnt protect yang more than once, so yang would start learning to take care of herself. Otherwise I think you guys are pretty on point with her motives imo. Just keep in mind raven is very conflicted as a character and her actions prove this even further.

13:24 Yang finds Raven, and after some difficulty, she tells them what Ozpin should've the day he involved Pyrrha Nikos. So...yeah, on the "keeping so much from you" bit, Raven is better.

Finally people understand what Raven was trying to do. Make Yang question things and not blindly follow. Maybe she would of stayed but if she left, she'd at least be thinking of things

Sorry, but I just need to point out that it's "would have" or "would've" and not "would of".
