Channel Update: Give in to Defeat or Double Down on the Good You're Doing!

On this episode I wanted to let you guys know about the emotional rollercoaster that putting out content can truly be, especially when it's not growing and there's a hardly any money coming in; and in those moments of fatigue and despair, your mental health and self-esteem starts to deteriorate. But then, once you've taken a few days off and not thinking too much about everything, you start coming back around to who you are, what your values are, and just how much you want to make some positive change in this world. To pick yourself up off the ground, dust yourself off, and start again.
This episode is all about the growing pains of a new CZcams channel, the agony of feeling defeated, and the elation you feel once you're determined to succeed. Not for money, fame, or ego, but simply because you want to connect with something positive, meaningful, and real in this world. Because it can often feel like there's a shortage of connection, joy, kindness, and wonder anymore. Here, I talk about the reorganization of the channel, and I speak all about what I'm trying to do to course correct and make this into something super special and salt of the earth real. I'm not a perfect person, I'm rather flawed sometimes, my speaking ability has been diminished by age and fibromyalgia, and my motives to the uninitiated and outsiders may not always be known or understood.
As a veteran, chef, former EMT, comedian, upstanding citizen, dreamer and silly heart, I just want to create a community, a safe space, for regular people to feel like home where they can come to feel welcomed and not judged, and where you can always trust that you're accepted for the way you are. Like the island of misfit toys, we may all be broken in some way, but we have a community where we can enjoy life, commiserate, and try to find the meaning and goodness in life together. If it fails, at least I tried. But if it succeeds, hopefully I've made some kind of difference.
