- This week has been a quiet, homely one, with Keegan going into hospital for a surgery and me playing nurse!! So I've just been doing little jobs at home whilst he's been recovering. It was also our 2 year anniversary!

Spending your guys' anniversary helping Keegan convalesce is really a beautiful thing. Having "your person" who you know is there for you through thick and thin is a dream. Reminds me of the quote "What you take for granted, someone else is praying for." You guys could go to the theater with anyone at any time and it'd be fun; but having the security of knowing your person has your back, is priceless.
Goodness! I am 64, and I had my deviated septum fixed in 1967. I had my nose broken three times by the time I was six (don't ask) and chewing (and mouth breathing while I chewed) was grossing my family out. I remember the operation (vaguely) as very nasty, so I am very sympathetic.
Keegan will chew more quietly, and sleep more silently, once the tons of wadding come out. The world will be a happier place 🙂
I’m hoping that Keegan has fully recovered by now. Bless him
Poor Keegan! I had that surgery a number of years ago. My 5 yo granddaughter wanted to sleep with me like day 2 to “keep an eye on Grandma” long story short she flung her arm during the night and hit me smack in the nose! Oh the pain!!! Get well soon, Keegan!

I can sympathize with Keegan. I had my deviated septum fixed 20+ years ago because of constant sinus infections and headaches. The surgery was like a miracle when I healed up. I went from 6 or 7 sinus infections a year down to 1 or 2. I hope he feels better soon. Happy Anniversary! ❤

I had that same surgery at like 14 and it suckedddd. They downplayed it too like I could go back to school in a week and definitely could not. You have to sleep sitting up and you literally can’t breathe through your nose until they take out the silicone things in there that are holding up your septum. Feel better soon Keegan ❤️🩹

A few years ago I had a deviated septum fixed and the surgeon repaired even more internal nasal issues that explained why I was plagued all my life with a stuffy nose!! I felt like a new person when I finally recovered lol!
DYI furniture was the only reason I got married; and lucky me found a Frenchman..
He knew how to do everything!
Then started to get manicures; than he did everything! LoL

I live in NYC. when I was a student in school. I had 22 children come back to school in September with new noses. it was their bar mitzvah present when they turned 13.

Oh my, Keegan must have been so thirsty by the time the surgery finally happened. Your care and attention must be such a nice supportive feeling for him especially since he felt hot and cold. I've had the same op and it's not the best of ops nightmare. It takes awhile to get over. Hope you are feeling better soon . If any problems you need to get back to hospital. Take care guys.
Hey Joel. Just a suggestion but you need to cut off all the apples except one or two per branch or the weight of the apples will drag the branches down or snap them. They are too thin to support that amount of fruit. I would also stake the branches with some bamboo stakes to support them and stop them from sagging. If you haven't already done so feed the tree with some slow-release fertiliser to give it the energy it now needs to grow the fruit. These are things I did to my apple tree when it was little. When the tree grows bigger and stronger it will be able to support more and more fruit. Many growers remove all the fruit in the first year to promote growth of the branches for future fruit bearing.

@@TheJoelWood No worries mate. Keep an eye on the fruit as they grow to make sure they don't drag the branches down. The main thing in the first year is to grow the tree as much as possible so its branches can support the fruit in following years. Always thin out your fruit so the branches don't get overloaded. If you like citrus like lemons, oranges, etc. they are probably the easiest to grow in pots. Cherries are also easy to grow. You can plant them out in a garden if you want to when you move. I have the greatest empathy for Keegan. I had that same surgery two years ago. I think the worst was not sneezing or blowing my nose for 3 weeks, in the middle of hay-fever season. That nose hammock was a real nuisance. I didn’t have a caretaker so I had to do everything first myself. People in the grocery store barely looked at me. Taking the packing out was really not a lot of fun. 🇨🇦🇨🇦

I had that surgery and my nose was packed with cotton for a week. When they took the cotton out, I was in this cold exam room and could feel the air flow in and it was fantastic. One thing my doctor told me about the mucus that Keegan is experiencing is that we produce a quart and a half of“snot“ per day and if your nose is messed up on the inside, it doesn’t do that as effectively, so there’s that :)
I’ve had the pleasure of being a patient at the Spire a couple of times. All the staff are lovely and the food is so good. Hopefully fingers crossed I will not be back!
Omigosh, Septums, loungers, and Leeds, oh my! I hope everything is back to it's normal routine, all healthy and anniversaried. I love seeing those itty bitty apples. Having been born in Florida, I laughed how my northern friends went crazy seeing orange on trees, and actual coconuts. Until I was in NY and saw an apple tree and was all, " there just growing for FREE!" 😅 I would enjoy seeing you garden and choosing plants and gussy up your front acreage. 🤭. Thanks for the update guys!!!
