    Thanks for all the tips and information of this tractor. I did buy one about 18 mouths ago and have now come to the point where I can comment on this unit with a wide variety of testing. The first thing that gave me any kind of problem came in the from of slow movements at different sloping angels. This was solved by just adding the hydraulic oil to the proper level. ( must have missed that at the dealer ) I have been an operator professionally for over 40 years . Backhoes being my most used tractor . I am quit impressed by how well this tractor does. I have now used it to , install septic systems , underground vaults , culvert driveway pipe , bush hog , pull a 3 bottom plow , post hole auger ( on the loader and made a quick connect coupler for the backhoe ) and drag a box scrapper doing driveways . I love the fact that I can move the tractor with the crawl feature . I live in the North Carolina mountains and do driveways for many customers in my area . This tractor is light weight only in pounds. I pull it around with a 250 supper duty like its not even there . Its now my favorite tractor EVER . PS I would like to see a factory cab

    What is so appealing to me about the M62 is that you get a tractor approaching a full on commercial TLB with a 14ft backhoe while keeping the weight down low enough to have a combined tractor and trailer weight below 15,600 lbs. Here in Texas, go over that weight and you have to have a DOT licensed and inspected trailer which is very expensive. I can haul this thing with my 3/4 ton truck and my 24ft gooseneck trailer. My trailer weighs 4,000 lbs plus 9,500 of tractor. I'm only at 13,500 lbs. That gives me some wiggle room to haul extra implements. Also this thing has a removable backhoe with rear PTO. That means I can also run a bush hog, post hole digger, wood chipper and many other PTO powered implements. This would work for my farm. He's right. No other tractor like this exists. Just give me a cab, which I think is available now.

    Great video Neil. I have a older L35 model and am thinking about upgrading to a M62. I have a small ranch and really need a little bigger tractor. I stopped in to a Kubota Dealer a few days ago to look a one and get some pricing. Over $80K with 4-in-1 front buchet, 3 quick change backhoe buchets, thumb, drawbar, top-n-tilt kit, rear remote valve kit, quick attach coupler and 3p linkage kit. Very nice tractor but not cheap. After taking a good look a the tractor, the deal killer for me was that 16 gauge piece of sheet metal that you were knelt down by th the video belind the loader post. The on with the NO Step sticker on it, the one that flexed when you put your arm against it. Behind that little piece of tin, is all the loader control cables, hydraulic hoses and the hydraulic valve body. If I used that M62 to do the same work that I do with my L35, a stick or stob would get stuffed into that little sheet metel guard and open it up like a can of sardines. That area is one of the most vulnerable locations on any tractor, one stump or stick will destroy the whole hydraulic control system. The parts department will love it, but I wont like the break down time or the cost. Kubota needs to do something about that before I will spend that kind of money on a new tractor.

    I love this machine - it has allowed me to do a ton of things on my homestead that I couldn’t do otherwise. The backhoe comes off so that you can use other implements. I haven’t tried to remove it yet and I am wondering if you could do a video showing how to take it off and put it on. Thanks!

    Great review - I have an older B21 with several attachments I use for home and a small side business. Really like it, and might be tempted if a B26 came along, but overall the 21 does a good job. About the only thing I can whine about is lack of two pumps; I'm used to hoes and excavators with 3-function capability. But over time I've gotten to where I can combine functions a bit to simulate some of the efficiency of movement.

    Thanks for doing a descriptive video as requested. Will be looking to trade in a few years to either this machine or the L47. If you get one of those in like your descriptive videos of your machines. Have an MX5100 with the BH92 and while it does almost anything I need to do that struggle over oil when swinging the boom drives me nuts. I should never be able to outwork a machine and with the BH single line supply it's easy to do. I'm your market as a owner of 100 acres mainly woods but a little tillage available and what it is for me is the ability to switch from a backhoe to a finishing box blade or tiller machine in less than 10 minutes is way to convenient. No need for a dozen when you can drop huge trees with such a little machine by taking them out at the roots. Last quote on M59 with backhoe was $52k from my dealer. Hope this machine did not move too far from that point as that will still be my market area when I'm ready to trade

    That would be an interesting design to enclose the cab on an M62 that’s got a removable backhoe and a 3-pt. hitch. Not saying Kubota couldn’t do it, but....

  • @goodtry1550
    @goodtry1550 Před 8 lety

    From what I've read, Kubota is offering a cab on the M62TLB with removable glass. If I'm not mistaken they will be offered a little later this year. Even the pics on the Kubota website have the cab frames with the glass removed. It will have heat, but not A/C. I'm sure there will be an aftermarket A/C for this model as there is for the smaller TLBs.

    • @MessicksEquip
      @MessicksEquip  Před 8 lety

      +Good Try
      Correct. Its an add on cab. Those have been available from aftermarket companies for the TLB's for years. While they will keep the weather off you, the fit & finish is not nearly as good as what Kubota is capable of producing in a factory cab.

    • @goodtry1550
      @goodtry1550 Před 8 lety +1

      +Messick Farm Equipment Yes, that is what I've heard too. Do you know what brand cab is being used? Some of the aftermarket cabs are fairly nice, but others are not. Some people on a forum kept guessing at who was making the cab for it, but no-one knew for sure. Do you know the price of the add-on cab for the M62 TLB?

      The option of a Factory cab on any of Kubotas tractors would be nice. I have had the same idea of making a extendable dipper stick for my BH 92, using my Hydraulic thumb pedal to extend or retract the dipper stick,with a electric over hydraulic switch so i can still use my hydraulic thumb as well. Future Plans ! I also wish Kubota would build their tractors with larger volume hydraulic pumps.

      We have not sold any Kubota balers yet. Our impression has been largely positive, we've heard good things from other dealers. Being that the New Holland baler is manufactured about 30 minutes away from our store, our area tends to support New Holland.

Should I just take the rear wheel off and drill the six 11/16” holes I need right into the frame? Not sure what else to do but I don’t want to send this kit back to you! No, M62 is the tractor. TL1300 is the loader.

      That's about full MSRP. No one pays that.
      Quick connect is standard.

      The lack of cab with HVAC is killer, even if it was a paid feature. Can't use this in Texas due to that, but ticks soooo many other boxes.

      There is a cab option since I shot this video. It has A/C as well.
