- we start the roadtrip in the amazing snowdonia with the goal to roadtrip up to vanlife festival 24 in Shrewsbury. not a long roadtrip but we never expected the spontainious twist going back on myself and heading to anglesey . penon point isn't all it's cracked up to be but we still made the most of the Welsh weather ending up in llangollen on the horseshoe pass

Hey mate to see better planes, get your self to Mac Loop, you will love it for sure and your boy. let me know when you been and what you think. you will see the osprey plane, helicopters, F15s and new F35s also the Texans sometimes and more, you like hill climbing so best of both worlds for you. takes you to the best vantage spots. and you can park at the bottom, also arrive the night before and you can stay the night and get up there early. check it out.
It's a great place isn't it. I've only been once before not long ago but there was no action. I'm near raf Lakenheath as I type and just seen 2 euro fighters
Horses 4 courses but personally I avoid those laundry facilities. They tend to be used to wash things people wouldn't dream of putting in their washing machines at home. I have seen people load in horse blankets, dog beds, oily overalls, football boots and trainers. Yuck.
Entertaining as always, it is great up there, you need to check out North Devon at some time during your travels btw.
You get what you pay for. I have a gortex jacket that is 30 yrs old. Cost me a rummy fortune. But it's still going and it's still waterproof.
That one only cost £40 I think so that makes total sense

I absolutely love being Welsh. Even for those in the bigger towns and even cities, it's only a short trip and you're in the most beautiful of surroundings. Betws-Y-Coed (pronounced coyd not co-ed and meaning 'trees' or 'woods') is one of my favourite places. I also spent some time in Tregaron in the van last week, which is a lovely area too. Not so touristy with some nice little walks are sights to see. One of my favourite beaches is not too far from there too.
No way! Last year I was in snowdonia the week before you and it's happened again as I was there only the week before this 😂 i'll surely run into you at some point there! Van is looking good now too mate 👌
You didn't give Penmon Point a, chance, some great short walks and history.
Even a sea cave.
I park there often and take a fishing rod, no idea how to fish but chill with a beer the go the café 😂
Has some great times there.
That's a good park up in Ogwen and the wind really gets up at night.
But you need to get over Nant Gwynant with the Watkin path and Llanberis even Beddgelert with a cracking walk along the Aberglaslyn and over the tops with the copper mines.

Trust me I've tried cheap and it doesn't work.
I've a coat I took up the matterhorn in 1999 that's still used now, I've reproofed it a few times but even in 1998 it was over £100.
But quality gear and look after it and it will look after you, might even save your life one day 😉
You should have done your homework when you came to Anglesey, Llandwyn Island, Newborough Forest, Rhosneiger, Trearddur Bay, Porthdafarch etc etc.
Been to anglesey loads. Done all the tourist spots that was just one I'd not done
That green merc van is a there most of the time, shame we where not shopping the day you where in home bargains lol...And the horseshoe pass is great to sit on top eating fish n chips..
How long has it been there ? I've seen it in Llay near my work, it was parked up on a large curb area for a few weeks.
