😂😂 "Even Hockey Has Two Minutes For Instigating" ... I'm dying!!
Yeah and to be exact it's actually even 2+10 minutes but the 10 is personal penalty while the 2 will hurt your team directly (I mean that if you were on the ice which you would need to be to get that penalty you have a purpose and place in the roster and when you're serving your personal penalties which also includes a 5 minute penalty for fighting your team will miss your effort during that time) which you know assuming you're another hockey fan.

I seem to be finding only your messages/replies interesting enough to reply myself but I'm not targeting you, I promise 😅
But that was exactly how I saw that movie when it came out, as a horror film and partly as a documentary on a historic event.
The love story in it was very much a forced side story in my opinion and it seemed to be there only to appeal to the female audience so the movie's script was done in a very clever way to appeal to the masses.
Bill Burr broke it down very well from the male perspective and was able to do his job and make it funny enough for us to laugh. But whenever I hear someone describing it as a romantic movie I always just laugh because like I said, I see the love story as an unnecessary and even a quite poorly done side story.

This is one of my favorite Bill Burr clips of all time. Bill is just a straight shooter and tells it like it is but also does it with such talented humor that will also make you think. Really hope you keep reacting to Bill Burr. He is one of the greatest of all time (some say the greatest). And there is so much material. There are probably 20 clips like this and every one is funny. Very hard to make a recommendation because they're all so good. Carlin can be funny, too, but for my taste he's a bit too preachy. And Chapelle can be super funny, too; but sometimes you have to wait a long time before the punchline comes. BTW. Bill Burr used to write for Dave Chapelle for his TV show. Nobody has the LPM (laughs per minute) of Bill Burr. He cut his teeth on doing comedy in Boston, which apparently is renowned for having super tough audiences. So when he goes after someone in the crowd, it's from having to deal with the spitballs from hecklers earlier in his career. It's just the way it's done in Boston.

The thing about Burr is he says out loud the things most people feel in tense times and he says them in a way that is simultaneously hilarious, thought-provoking, and genuine. His magic is he is able to do this without artifice, actual hate, or ill-intent. The more you look into his life the more you realize he is a solid human being with a huge heart and helps alot of people.

He is very direct. You need to catch his helicopter story. It has an animated video illustrating it that is very funny. Kids think relationships are easy until they are in one. I was married for 37 years and it was a constant progression of compromise. Women are social organizers and men are often isolationists. His skit "White people need Lotion" is also a lot of fun.

I love Bill Burr! He comes from a kinda rough background. He is married to the girlfriend he talks about in this bit and they have a child. He always makes the best points and he says things that most people are to afraid to say but we are all thinking.

I was grateful to hear the comment about women sometimes arguing simply to put their partner in the same bad mood that the woman is feeling. It's not right, but it's understandable the way you described it.
Certain arguments are reserved for intimate partners, but even then, there should be a high level of respect and a willingness to listen throughout the disagreement.
Men and women argue differently. It is very true.

100% agree with you! Hitting should never be the answer - a partner, a child, an animal, a stranger - no one. It's barbaric, ignorant, immature, and counterproductive behavior. There is always a better way to address whatever conflict you're having.
Of course, you are right but as a 69-year-old in London,I know life gets in the way, sometimes. Example. I met a Guy with an old German Shepherd/Alsatian Dog a few years ago and praised the lovely nature of his dog and he agreed and laughed. He explained that when the dog was young and getting bigger, he was becoming unmanageable and his wife said he was very disobedient and she could not take anymore. He told her to sleep on it and after the conversation, he beat the dog to show the dog who was the Master in their relationship. The dog respected that and 13 years later, they have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the happy dog running freely and,socially,in the park.

My ex was bipolar & could go from happy to sad to downright abusive to being the victim all in 10 minutes. We lived the better part of an hour away from each other & I took the afternoon off work to surprise her & the second I got there with flowers she stormed into the kitchen going mental while I sat in the living room & the thing that struck a cord was her comment If the only reason you drove all this way was to spend a night with me I don’t know why you bothered! It was at that point I realised she had a point so I got up & walked out got in my car & drove home. I was about 10 minutes from home before she even realised that I had left! She had been screaming at nobody that entire time!

There will always be conflicts between two people. What matters is how those conflicts are handled. Bill has a good handle on the human condition and how we approach things. Sometimes we approach things from a crazy place and he always wants to know why we do it.
