- I recently picked up some Shimmer Magicals Powders from Lindy's Gang, and this is my first experience with them. They are similar to Nuvo Shimmer Powders, which I have used in the past. While I was painting with them, I tried a few different techniques. And to finish off the card, I used Avery Elle's Spread Magic stamps and coordinating dies.

What an adorable card Kristina! That background is stunning, has all my favorite colors! Loved seeing the way you used the shimmery powders, I was unaware that the color got more intense if sprayed with water and used as a watercolor paint. Very interesting and will change the way I used mine!

Coincidentally, I was using my Magicals today. The colors can be VERY intense. My favorite method is putting the powder on my glass mat, adding a little water, and using a watercolor pen to paint with them. Sometimes I'll use them for backgrounds the way you did but I like the control I get with the watercolor pen (I don't add any additional water from the pen; I just like that I can clean it easily as I change colors). Smooshing works great, too. Love how your card came out. Just a PSA, these Magicals are VERY addicting!

Tracy from Lavinia Stamps was one of the first designers I saw using a fan brush, and Barbara Grey from Clarity Stamps, both here in the UK. This was years ago, when I caught the cardmaking bug. Sadly, I didn't catch the knack of it, and usually end up with big blobs.

I can remember the original six My Little Pony names from the 1980s: Butterscotch, Snuzzle, Bluebell, Blossom, Cotton Candy, and Minty and most of the Strawberry Shortcake characters too. LOL
I can't remember all of the emblems, but now I'm going to have to look them up. 🤣

I have the Tonic Shimmer Powders and love them, but I'm curious about the Lindy's. Gonna have to try them! P.S. Any Rysavy (Prairie Paper and Ink) is the one who used the fan brush

Where do you get a board like that to tape the card stock on ?
You can use anything similar, like a clip board, etc. The one I used is listed in the video description. It's a hardboard. :)
