- I recently learned of a new script for PixInsight - Auto DBE, from Seti Astro . This script will speed up the gradient removal process and make things easier! For more information, check out Seti Astro's CZcams channel:

Great examples! For the exclusion areas on your orion example you shouldnt have to define those for the bright areas. The script itself will avoid placing any points in bright signals. Where it is really important to use the exclusion area is to protect dark nebula where it may want put points. I love how you highlighted utilizing the history explorer too!!
I really like this script. I've been using Seti Astro's script for other functions as well for a couple months. These are well thought out scripts.
Same here.
Just started to use it and it works really well and fast.
Added repository. It updated but there is no scritps for Setiastro
Make sure you have the most recent version of PixInsight (sorry I don’t have the number in front of me right now). I’ve seen others make similar comments, and installing the most recent version of PixInsight seems to solve the problem.
Yep great script !!!
I see at 5:45 that it marked a big magenta cloud in the bottom left corner as background/gradient, but we know it's part of the Horsehead nebula Ha cloud. Isn't the script over-correcting that spot?
Wow, how far we’ve come in the last few years
