- Well everyone here we are the center console of the 2019 Ram Rebel is removed. In this video I show where the center console mounting bolts are located and how to access them also show where I installed ambient lighting in the console for a custom touch. There is a lot of work involved at this point in the build and well I just ordered one more thing to add to the mix, thank you for joining me on this journey I cannot wait to share the final product. One video you did all 4 doors and the console now but you never specify how much of each lighting you need. It’s a very cool upgrade and reading thru the comments a lot of people want to do the accessory upgrade but one one hand people could wing it but some may not have the extra funds to over order the lights. Thanks in advance. Awesome job on the rebel.
Johnathan Curbey I used two kits and had some there stuff I had from a previous project you need the 4 12 inch lights and 2 additional if you do the console plus 8 of the 4 inch lights, each kit has a bunch of connectors any splitters you may need to order additional extensions depending on the routing, thank you for watching
Steve I hope you never sell this truck, the amount of work you put on this thing is insane. !! Wow. It's such an inspiration to work of my rebel during these times. Did a carbon filter delete and AEM drop in today and threw the stock out the window. Lol - cheers !!
Hey brother I was being a little rough with my 2019 ram interior so I came into house searched a couple things and this video came up of yours let me be very clear. U SAVED MY CENTER CONSOLE AND DASHBOARD. I got all my answers in the few minute video that I’ve been scratching my head and sweating my ass off about. So thanks perfect timing lol

Project rebel is looking good awesome install on the led setup hope it all works smooth no bugs,,looks fine your doing everything proberly as far as it looks to me and upstairs in the shop definitely turning out nice your gonna love it up their 😉

When drilling your holes in plastic, I HIGHLY suggest using a much smaller bit at first as you greatly risk cracking or damaging the plastic you are trying to drill through. You can always increase the bit size from there.

finally got the console back in.and i put in a few "LED".not quite as "Elaborate"as yours.but to get it right you have to go thru all that.👍❗
"HammerDown"!...hey i finish my to.i did disconnect the neg battery.all i had to do was reset the clock.the model i have dont have the bolts out the back,but uses a "Clip bracket instead.so i guess i will have to use "DoubleBackTape".but what you did help me with is where and how to run that cable thru.all i have right now is pic's right now.but i will try to make a vid so you can see how my came out.Oh...P.s im going to order that "MoodLightSetUp"that your using...P.s again i just install all new speakers through out.next in going to install the "Amp"will keep you abreast.😍😍😎❗
Should have added the oem wireless charging pad while you had it out.
Is there a way to get to the harness on the front usb c, and regular USB ports to charge/connect ur phone to the radio without taking the center console out??? On my truck when I hit a bump or make a hard turn the radio switches to aux but I’m not connected to my truck or when I’m using Bluetooth the radio switches to FM radio station which is annoying. And when I push in to the ports with my hand it switches sources, so if I’m listening to the radio it will switch to aux.

thank you I have thought of a strip under the running boards but the rock lights are pretty bright I will have to see once this stage is done
Can you have a middle seat installed instead and home much? Just asking because I want to teach my kids to drive and I wanna be able to hit that break if I need to. My uncle's taught me starting at 8 yrs but we always had bench seats

Pulling out the console is there a way to add a seat. I need seating for 6. I am debating buying a rebel and removing the center console or buying a Laramie and upgrading the suspension and everything else to get similar to a Rebel. Suggestions?
Kelly Fontes if you get a Laramie off road package it has the Rebel springs and I’m sure you could buy the Bilstein shocks or go with aftermarket if they offer a bench on a Laramie trim
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA Laramie's the highest trim that you can still get a bench on. I will take it as leveling the Laramie up is the better option thank you!!!
Kelly, have you found any additional info on swapping out the front console for the center of the 40/20/40 bench? the configuration i want doesn't come that way, i'd have to build custom... wondering if i can swap the seat IN for the console

Would be cool if someone made a wireless charging dock to that replaced the cd player. Kind of like a pocket.
evo1video I could install the wireless charge pad since it only works on the driver side but I had it in my Laramie and never used it since I had my phone plugged in for CarPlay any way plus I may use the CD player one day lol
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA yeah that's true about the apple CarPlay, well android auto for me lol. After seeing how much space is being used by the cd player, makes me think It could be used for something more useful in my case. I don't have any CD anymore.

Not sure if the console would be in the way but while it’s off are you going to take out the centre display to check the wiring for the front camera?
david whittaker I am waiting for an interface that will allow for the camera install but I may pull the screen anyway to have a look but I don’t think there is a place to plug in a camera without one

I am looking to add the usb and and possibly power outlet to the back of my console. When you had it out, did you see if those parts are separate? I’m thinking I will need to buy a few parts and hoping that it’s not a different console to have the rear USB’s.
I’m not entirely sure but I would think they could be added unless there isn’t a provision for the harness, the console removal is a 10 minute job of you want to take a perk in there

Getting ready to install switch pro as well. Where did you mount the other portion of it? Did you do it under the hood? If so where? Not seeing. Good spot for it. I'm probably over looking that perfect spot...
I put it in a video I made a bracket extension and used the factory holes mounted it on the drivers side under the hood towards the front
