Bro I have used both sony s40r and jbl deep bass 2.1, and believe me sony is no near to jbl
JBL is far better than sony wheather it is vocals or bass
go for jbl 2.1 deep bass you will not regret buying that

Newer model has 2 drivers and tweeters and i believe your units is newer

@Solei W try to reset it. Turn on ur soundbar and holdi press power & input select for more than 10 secs. Until it turns off and on. I hope it works
