I moved to Japan last year and I've been fascinated by the different fish in the shops (completely different to Ireland). I'd love to try them but I wouldn't have a clue how to start cooking them. It doesn't help that I have no idea what they are beciase my Japanese reading level is quite low.
I saw this in store near me and only managed to find out exactly what it was... I've never in my life attempted to cook a lobster, nevermind clean one out but will give this a go.

I heard (from a few different CZcams channels) that if you put the lobsters on ice or in an ice bath before you clean them, the meat comes out really easy.

I live in Cancun. She is throwing away so much!!! No one would do that with Atlantic lobster! Treat it just like Atlantic, just without claws. But don't neglect the spines!!!

i dont think so i think the most humane way is a slice down the middle of the head but i dont think they feel pain but i could be wrong
Assuming they feel pain, it's not humane at all. Tearing a lobster in half like that is more akin to being cut in half through the waist. Most of the brains and internal organs are in the top part of the lobster.
