I was in Rome almost 20 years ago. I rode the line A and line B metro extensively during my short time there, namely 17th and 18th September 2000. I remember that the Line A platform at Termini is much deeper than that of Line B. The station looks nicely refurbished since I last visited. And nicer trainsets on both lines than when I was there.
I am trying to write my memoirs of September 2000, and this video helps a lot. There are some things that I did not film back then, so this helps fill the gaps.

Italy is the cradle of ancient paintings and ultra modern paintings. Everywhere you step you'll see this within Italy. Even Milan Metro looks like rugged down sleazy and neglected by the consortium of transport. My first impression was when I stepped down at Piazza del Duomo station it stinked like on a public lavatory. Just disgusting for a foreign tourist. The second impression was the colourful decoration of the trains. They should win the Pulitzer Prize for such an artistic competition between those sprayers.

Wow same old boring trains some stations are clean and some are dirty knowing will N.Y.C subway has all different subway trains and most are new and they getting a new futuristic subway train called the R211 that's being tested now and he subways all are being fix and renewed and most are futuristic ones you walk into the subway,looks like Italy needs to catch up.
