The man became a single dad after losing his wife, and didn't tell his daughter the truth about her mom's passing.
However, he wasn't ashamed of installing a hidden camera in his daughter's bedroom. When she found out about it, the only excuse he was able to come up with was that it was for her own safety. That discovery led him to tell his daughter the ugly truth about her mom's death.
Will the girl follow her dad's rules? Or will she leave the house forever?

This story is so nice but it's true that u can't always be overprotective of ur children. u need to let them live their own life.
I understand why Susie's father was overprotective, but invading her privacy, poking his nose in and trying to control her life was wrong. She definitely showed him that she could take of herself. It's never easy letting go, but if you show you trust them, it shows that you love and respect them.
Her dad's lucky Susie didn't take his attack the wrong way...in her shoes, that would've been the last straw for me!
Susie is 18 which means she’s legally an adult so why is being overprotective even though he know that? You can’t blame Ethan and Susie for being upset with him. Personally I wouldn’t blame Susie if she didn’t forgive her father that easily.

I believe that every parent needs to stop being overly protective of their kids. If an overly protective parent continues to be overly protective of their kids and if they are not careful, the overly protective parent will end up losing their kids. Susie needs to live her own life and make her own choices.

At some point every parent has to face the facts they can't protect their kids forever of course they'll always be able to help them when they need it but some point they have to let go and trust they've taught them what they need to know to get by on their own

Why aren’t dads as equally overprotective of their sons as they are of their daughters? Whereas older siblings (particularly sisters) tend to be protective of their younger siblings regardless of their gender.
I know there are horrible parents out there, but this kind ("the controlling one because the world is evil" type) is the stupidest: I mean, their logic is "I'll control my child's every move to be sure he won't be in danger". First... EVERY TIME? You need to work, don't tell that you monitor them even while working or while doing other stuff. Second: even if we pretend that is a good thing (on paper, it technically is), what will happend after your death? "Oh, well I'm all alone, without my parents supervisions. All alone against the world". Children HAVE to face the world sooner or later, you can't keep them like prisoners forever.

Sometimes I feel so grateful for my mother overprotective of me sometimes. When I go out or go to school or college, I ask God's protection for me. He sent his Guardian Angel to watch me.
