  • The pantograph of the electric train touches only one wire, but most of the electric appliances in our home works in two wire which has phase and neutral, just like electric train, the electric tester also works in one terminal.
    To know how electric train and electric tester one in one wire, watch full video.

    When standing on an electric train's tracks we and the track are essentially at the same potential with a negligible potential difference. that is why we don;t get electrocuted. saying we have higher resistance is not that accurate and kind of misleading.

    • @kishoreksm8366
      @kishoreksm8366 Před 3 lety +1

      Yes true also false the grounding resistance should be lesser than 3ohm as per standard in homes. I don't know about railway. So the current choose the earthing lower resistance. If the earthing resistance is greater than that it may cause an electric shock..

      also he simply explained phase and neutral as if positive and negative in dc circuit rather it more complicated.... it doesn't mean that if u connect phase and earth it would become a closed ckt...in case of train tracks the phase line is above the train and the tracks are connected to neutral of the 3 phase system , for sure there will be a point where neutral connected to earth for fault current discharge ... and thats why it becomes close ckt if we connect phase and earth since earth and neutral are shorted...

      @Arvindh what Anna said is correct only I think so because it's similar to a voltmeter attached to a metal wire setup but here the track is the metal wire with a very low resistance relatively when compared with the human body (i.e, very high resistance) it's almost similar to a bird sitting on electrical cables and also one more information According to Indian Laws the Railway Track Overpassing is Illegal but still it is not followed.

      Your body has higher resistance when compared to railway tracks and the earth. Therefore the current which is flowing on the railway track towards the earth, does not pass thru our body, instead it passes to the earth which has lower resistance.
      But when you touch an electrical wire, the current flows thru your body and ends in the earth. The current flow in our body is what we feel as shock.
      This is why we have Earth pin on certain metal appliances like Iron Box, Grinders etc. The stray current on the metal surface pass thru the earth pin and gets grounded, as we don't get a shock.

      *Important Note:*
      *Diwali is coming, so one of the most important things to know. Please do not use alcohol sanitizer on your hands when lighting firecrackers and lighting lamps, as it catches fire very quickly and from a distance, you are at a disadvantage. So you have to take special care of yourself and your children. Please send this message to other groups so that everyone is careful.*
