This is one of the greatest and of my favorite singers, his melody lines are perfect, his voice is amazing, and of course the rest of the band are incredible!!!!
I saw these guys perform last night, his voice in the studio version doesn't compare to it live, the guy was hitting notes higher than I thought possible for a human and the screaming was ridiculous and brutal. Then Killswitch Engage came on I gotta say he outdid Jesse Leach by quite a bit but both bands performances were amazing.
This is probably the only newer band I have been a fan of in over a decade. That's saying a lot nowanddays. I'm a fan of this band and have both records. Many oppose rex for shifting a bit compared to his very raw heavy thrash metal with down and pantera. But keep in mind vinny appice was in black sabbath and dio way back, and mark zavon was a fill in guitarist for w.a.s.p. too. But just think of kill devil hill as a similar band to let's say alice in chains or black label society. Thats pretty much the type of direction it is. Also keep in mind the time pantera hit it big, so was alice in chains. As well as remember the sludgy riffs of pantera and how if you tone it down what it would sound like? Much like a alice in chains type of vibe. This band has a great live stage appearance and sound and great records so far. Their fan base is growing quick. And I have been a fan from the start, always impressed by everything they do. This band deserves a lot of praise for what they are doing because the world needs more rock like this instead of the b.s. that is so popular lately.

Hadn't heard of them yet. damn was I blown away. nice job guys. now if you all could make your way to chattanooga tn's track 29, that would be sweet. the music and vocals are awsome. a change of pace to today's metal in my opinion. keep up the killer tunes
