Thanks so much for watching, friend. Unfortunately, I've purchased many belts in the past that were labeled "genuine leather" that were only leather board, not full grain, and I'll tell you, it's a total marketing scam. So sad. Invest in quality, that's my take.
Yess!!! I used to be super cheap, and buy only what was the lowest cost, but since then, I've tried to only invest in high quality materials. I wouldn't even consider buying faux leather anymore, especially on something that's bent and flexed as much as belts.
I never conditioned my leather belts. There's no need. I've never seen my father do this and he was a stickler for snappy dressing. You condition shoes and boots and that's it. I have belts for formal attire which are rarely worn so they stay new. And I have my everyday belts for jeans and trousers. I have faux leather belts. And they are for work.
Hey there! Thanks so much for watching. I'm glad you've found belts that work for you. These are just my opinions, and I respect yours. Whether it's boots made of leather, jackets made of leather, or belts made of leather, I highly recommend that everyone condition them at least yearly since leather as a material can get dry and begin to crack. All the best!
It was the answer I was looking for regarding how to fix cheap belts, just needed to hear it from someone who knows what they're talking about

A belt made of 'only' leather will cost about $20 to $30 bucks more, yet it makes you look better while it lasts longer, if you take care of it.
