    Nice presentation of data.👍👍👍👍👍
I have been traveling to different parts of the world for work. I meet the local people and most of them
Would love to settle down in US ... this is ground reality. I have lived in Europe and it's damn expensive. A McDonald burger is 2 to 3 times in other countries. Fine dining in Europe is only for wealthy. A 2800 sq feet of single family house in Toronto will cost you at least $1.5 and upwards. Car insurance in Canada is more than double of what we have in US. And if you are a nature lover like me then the entire US is full of National parks. Off course it is expensive to travel in US that's why Americans go to Mexico or other counties. But overall living in US for 32 years my take is Feel good and happy. Living within your means is the key to happy life even in Hell or Paradise.
Professor do you live in Arlington, TX. I have been there several times to Arlington and Mansfield and have American friends who are big time farmers but not doing farming and have leased their land to oil firms.

Denmark which was my base country. Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Portugal, Austria, Spain, Monaco in Europe.
Argentina, Chile and Brazil in South America.
Panama and Costa Rica in Central America.
Off course Mexico and carribians. Almost 80% of US and India.
I don't travel to big cities anymore... just in and out of flights from big cities.
Canada is nice too. Have lot of relatives there. I just make one 2 week trip to Canada every years except this year.
And 90% of time I travel alone. That is so relaxing.

Buddy I am retired for over 2 months. I know Scandinavian countries are good from outside, but they have their own problems too. Long dark days in winters and opposite in summer. High income taxes and expensive to live there. Since I am retired so not much taxes for me in US. I like solitaire life. I have friends who come along with me to travel once in a while. And I spend some time with my grandparents, uncles, cousins in Toronto and Ottawa. It's like stress free life. Take my car whenever I feel like traveling.

Not so easy to live in America if someone's born in India and takes the merit based route (F1, H1B and then cycle ends due to discriminatory GC country caps for Employment). US is the only country which favors family based immigration or bringing random immigrants from troublesome countries on diversity lottery.

There is a hidden factor regarding Canada, Australia and Singapore.
They have trade agreements with US which helps in getting a work authorization. Canadian citizens are eligible for TN visa, Singapore has H1B1 Singapore(5400 out of 65000 H1B visas) and Australian citizens have E-3 visa. So after getting citizenship in one of these countries, it will be much easier to work in US and then retire in above countries. These countries have free healthcare(Singapore also has private healthcare if needed) so you don't need to worry about your hospital bill. Education is also good. So instead of being stressed regarding visas in US you can work for maybe 10-20 years in US on different visas and then retire in these countries which have very high QoL.

While that’s probably doable, most people are not looking to be an immigrant several times to different countries. Immigrating once is hard enough!
And at some point you want to make long lived ties with the people around you and make strong social circles, after having left your ties at your country of birth. Moving countries so many times does not let you have that.

Thanks for sharing this. I see some people disputing the data but I think the intent of this was just to point out the general trend of things. Immigration/settlement are important things that these 'other' countries offer but just like in a game of poker, you play a hand that you get right! At a young age, with education from a reputed american university, I am okay with risking a few things for a chance to get better global exposure. IMO it's when you're in your thirties when settlement starts to become more important. Hopefully by that time you have a good enough global network that you can find a job in countries that offer an easier path to permanent residence. Again, like a game of poker, if you know how to play your cards right.

Australian employers look for permanent residents (already there are plenty of people)and citizens than hiring a person, who’s on open work visa. Most of ICT jobs are outsourced to Indian tech giants like TCS and Infosys which leaves a small portion of ICT Jobs for which employers have to go with LMIA for hiring a international graduate. Furthermore, ICT and other white collar jobs are based only in metros like Sydney, Melbourne , and Brisbane, which makes job hunt a daunting task for most of the international students.

I am sorry, but I disagree with this analysis. In my opinion most of the statistics/result are biased since the scale is tipped towards the US just on the basis of numbers. A city of 1000 will have more jobs than a city of 10 for example. So a fair analysis would be with a ratio of per million population per say.
Having lived in the USA and Germany, I'd definitely prefer Germany in terms of quality of life, free education, lifestyle, excellent healthcare, job security, amazing travel avenues and the obvious direct path to naturalization if you decide to settle there. Not to forget, an environment conscious and smart population. Let's take simple things like commuting for example, here the public transit system is great and you do not need a car. Even grocery bags, no plastics!, I remember the days of 10s of plastic bags I get from a regular Walmart run!
I have a lot more discussion points, but I would say at the end it all evens out and comes down to personal perception. I value certainty of variables outside my control (like healthcare, immigration topics, and being considered resident not just for 'Tax Purpose'!!!)
p.s. Hello from a UTA alumni. No hard feelings :) Just conveying my opinion. Take care.

What about the ratio of international students entering to each country and the number of international students returning back to their homeland (within 7 years of graduation) ? That’ll give you a clear picture. Also, what about the average time to get a PR status in these countries ? What about Work life balance ? Australia and Canada top the charts and have the most livable cities in the world despite whatever numbers you’ve presented. Job opportunities will only be good enough when one can eventually and in a timely manner, settle in that country and have that peace of mind.

The USA is highly uncertain in terms of permanent settlement. There’s a strong reason why Australia and Canada attract so many international students. The number itself tells the whole story. Everyone knows US has better education and job opportunities, the only thing it lags is permanent residency. People want to settle down and live a quality life Canada and Australia provide high quality of life, no wonder I’ve never seen a US city in the list of top 10 most liveable cities in the world. A very good description but sir, i believe there are lots of things to consider. You are using absolute numbers for jobs n others. If u use % or Ratio, its more relevant. Also Pls consider Pay differences, unemployment differences. I am not sure how true is fact but i heard if someone earns below $120,000 in Palo alto, its close to poverty line. Better thing to see is to use PPE tool which shows that 15 lacs in bangalore is close to 100,000 USD in USA and relevant to other countries. Overall, it was very interesting. Thanks for sharing

It seems one key differentiator for emigrants from India is whether they want an easier route to employment in the US but then endure a hard time keeping their immigration status, including being tied to their sponsoring employer, or to endure more difficulties up front in finding employment in CAN/AUS/UK but have an easier path to permanent residency. Germany has an additional language hurdle.

Okay let’s say you get a job in USA and you earn 100k. And in Canada you earn about 70k.
Definitely in three years you have leave USA after trump’s announcement. And you can get PR in Canada easily as compared to us after 3 years.
    So 3 years earnings in USA = 3x 100k = 300k
In Canada, you can work forever after getting PR. So 70k x throughout your life = ? Dollars.
Now after you return to India, if you earn about 10k dollars per year, you will earn way more less than the Indians working in Canada. So which is better now?

A very great video sir. I have few questions sir, and you can have a great topic for next videos.
I think most of the IT and consulting jobs will be outsourced to India etc/ have already been outsourced. Also, the number of graduates in data science etc have really shot up, and I think the supply has overtaken demand. So, what are the best fields to get a good job in US? What is the job scene in core mechanical, electrical, materials science etc, as most jobs seem only in CS/consult and they might get outsourced. What do the US citizens make career in, so that their job is not outsourced?

There are some hidden realities I think you have missed to highlight, it doesn't matter how big is America - if it is not serious on international student policy, uk, Australia and other countries are trying best to attract international students but USA is giving wrong signals by creating hassles for international students by its uncertain policies. Visa issues, H1B and other visa issues, statements like cancellation of OPT training for students etc. After investing the big amounts of loan and debts there is no guarantee of the returns. At least a masters student can get PR in canada after completing studies.

Life as we know can encompass job, family, quality of life and lastly the certainity of life. Can you do a part 2 of this video covering the aspects of life that makes you decide on a location..
Secondly, how certain is the path of L1 or H1B for a family of 3 with both partners working? Is the only way to get a job for spouse thru an advanced degree and OPT? Please leave a reply.

Very many Americans have more than one job to make do. How did you take that into account in your comparisons? And you mentioned that many of the jobs in the US have very low qualifications and probably earn very little. Do they still have benefits like healthcare like every job in Europe? Why should that kind of job be of interest for somebody who went to college?

Been watching your videos. You make some great points but you miss out a a very important one. In canada you can easily obtain PR then citizenship and then move to the US as a Canadian citizen under the TN visa which way way easier to obtain than H1B. Also you can freeely travel to the US (as a visitor) as a Canadian without even needing a visa. Lots of my friends came to canada as international students became citizens and are now working in the US. Now yes, green card is still a long wait (if you were born in india) but you can live your entire life on TN visa in US which is very easy to renew than H1B.
