  • Like patialaboy 3 and other international students I have also decided to leave the UK but because of my own reasons. I came to the UK im 2020 to study abroad in the UK and completed my masters and got the job I wanted. But it is now time to think for the long term.
This video might be helpful for you to understand whether:
You want to study in the UK in 2024?
You want to settle in the UK in 2024?
How much can you earn in the UK?

UK has seen better days but it's not a good place to live any more. By the way Dubai is even worse... you will realise later. Good points. I was in a high paying job in UK. Lived there for 18 years. Very well settled. Yet moved to Australia. Most of your points are valid, but things like high taxes, long wait to see a doctor and being away from family, cultural issues, crime etc are applicable to any of the western/ foreign countries.
In my view, UK specific points are:
    1. NHS is great health service, but of late things have deteriorated. Option: you can have private health insurance / have private treatment similar to India.
    2. Salaries are low and not in like with inflation ( you can lead an average decent peaceful life on it, but can never become rich).
    3. Work pressures are high. Getting worse.
    4. Weather: it sucks! 😱. But so does in Canada, other European countries, parts of US, NZ. Yes Australian weather is much better if you live in coastal areas (not in remote desert areas or North).
    5. High cost of living, high inflation rate: of late, prices have gone up a lot. But so is the case everywhere.
On positive side, it is beautiful highly developed, safe, powerful country, with very class education, health system and infra structure. Very good for young people, best for holidaying and centrally located if you wish to explore Europe, and has very polite, generally nice people.
No country is perfect. Go anywhere and you will it’s own set of problems (including in India). It depends a lot on personal preferences. All the best!

Gentlemen you are very correct . All points you raised ref to UK are very true . One more & VERY IMPORTANT point is that if you come to UK or any western countries WITH family then be prepared that after 3/5 years time your children will not come back to India even if feel like moving back to India . In short you will loose your children and this will bring pressure to you & to MOTHERS specially much more. So if you are prepared to loose your children than come to UK otherwise EAST OR WEST HOME ( India 🇮🇳 )IS THE BEST . I have gone through this pain and am suffering a present.

I have lived my self more than 5 years in UK from 06/08 till 02/14, I left the country that time because UK had massive changes in it's immigration system, I have been working from last 9 years in Dubai now but honestly every country has its own pros & cons, Dubai has worse weather, extremely vulnerable job market means you can loose job any time then u have 30 days to find new one or go back home, extremely expensive education & medical insurance system, extremely high rents, if you want to live with family of 4 in total including your self, you need AED20k/pm, it's a bare minimum, also you cannot become national in uae ever,
In uk if you pay tax you get many things in return, if you say uk vs uae, I would say uk,many people in south asia wants to leave thier countries due to deteriorating economic situation in their countries,
Bro khushi say koi nai jata pardes but jana parta hay, abb 9 years bad main again UK main job dhundh raha hun, so you can imagine, but all what you have said in the video is literally true but again people has no choice.

No test , No exam,

This is a negative video that spreads myths. The NHS offers world-class medical services. Alcohol is also a part of life in India, and it is an individual's own choice. Yes, taxes are high on income , but the government provides good protection compared to other parts of the world. If you lose your job, they take care of your housing and food. Since you are in Europe, the weather is cold, and it's something you should know before coming here. I would suggest that if you don't have the capacity to adapt to another country, it's better to stay in your home country, but please refrain from spreading prejudice on social media.

Well said, people born and brought up in India are so pampered, especially guys. In Dubai, if you lose your job you are out of the place, back to where you came from. Living in the UK as a student, without surety of getting a Visa to continue staying is a challenge, but for those living there for a while, they get their parents and all live a good life

    • @delhiboyabroad
      @delhiboyabroad  Před rokem +9

I’d suggest go and do your research please. NHS waiting times have become worse, they may provide good treatment but it is about accessibility. A person who gets a an injury has to wait 6 hrs to get treated - don’t know if you define that as a world class medical service.
That’s the thing I just made people aware about these conditions those who aren’t aware of it. In india, alcohol may be a part but it isn’t selling like a cold-drink in supermarkets nor there any kind of appreciation for the same.
It is definitely required that people have that capacity to adapt but they SHOULD know these things. There is not a single thing that I have discussed is wrong. Well if you term it negative, then it is part of the country and students MUST know about it before they plan to spend huge amounts of money.

Alcohol and meat their part of life like Indian's Dal chawal and Roti we can not challenge their culture because we go there on our wish they are not inviting us to come there.

@@harshidarami3043 i never said we should challenge their culture. All i said is information related to their culture which SHOULD be said.
Well not everyone can come to the UK with a mindset that they’ll get cancer treatment for free. Instead, more day-to-day difficulties are equally important. Getting a blood test done without cost takes months, if you have any illness all you get is pcm.
In case you get a cut or bleed, you have to wait 6hrs minimum. All this is in public domain, and I have seen it too.
Yeah every country has its own pros n cons and it is completely okay. However, in India many people are being misinformed. They are only told healthcare is free, however they should be told the real situation of healthcare.
They’re told the Uk provides benefits, however they should also be told there are certain criteria for it.
