Unfortunately, This poll would be in favor of Fortnite. With 200+ million Fortnite active players compared to the 300+ thousand rocket league players. You would only need a fraction of a percent of Fortnite players to vote for it. That’s not even considering not 100% of the RL community is invested in trading, only a portion.
when that update hits imma be uninstalling both fortnite and rocket league as well as the epic games launcher, ive been playing both fortnite and rocket league from around the time they was both launched. they've done killed my love for it and i no longer wanna grind and push myself to reach new limits within the games, tho i will still forever support pickapixel and all the creators i watched playing this game

Realistically the mini game won’t stay hype for long in fortnite, it’s just a different type of game entirely, I predict a couple of months after release it’s dead and rocket league has been ruined for no reason

3 months later, 13,000 players. they removed trading for 13,000 players at peak hours. not to mention how many psyonix employees were forced to work on this sh*t for 2 YEARS.
The thing with Fortnite is that they eventually remove all their game modes, so at some point this Fortnite mini game will eventually go and then trading will literally be gone for nothing
So true cause who the hell plays fortnite to race?? You play that game to shoot people the same as you play rocket league to trade and play carsoccer yet trading gets treated like its some kind of limited gamemode

Not Fortnite the fighting game with a racing game mode that will be bad anyway. If they want to make a racing game so bad, implement it in rocket league which is actually about racing around in cars

You can trade in Fornite . In save the world people trade items all the time for better or the same items with a value and more . Doesn’t make any sense . But there is no currency I believe. I would understand if they would remove credits from trading and making it less of a currency value and more of item value instead .doing this will keep trading and make items worth more or less depending on the kind of item . Such as rarity or desires

realistically that is not the reason. i guarantee you they removed it because they saw everybody making credits by buying items for low and selling them high, basically making it to where there's no need to purchase credits.

@@Toasty_Jam78 because that would still leave the option of making "profit" through trading which means as long as you have a tradeable item, you can build up your inventory until you have everything you want without spending a dime. sure epic would make more money from that option than leaving trading as it was, but they still wouldn't be making as much as they are with removing it completely. if you had a choice between a 70k job and a 100k job that calls for the same requirements and effort you'd choose the higher paying one too. hopefully that makes what i said before understandable i'm very bad at explaining things lol.
I don’t want to play anything epic has to do with anymore because they take over psyonix to ruin a huge community to make there own separate game better. I enjoyed the videos that came with trading.
I personally always enjoyed the gameplay but now knowing everything I earn is worth really nothing im barely gonna play when trading vanishes unless its like the coolest items ive ever seen
I honestly see epic kinda taken a similar approach Blizzard is taking with Overwatch 2. A lot of similarities imo between the recent state of both games and promises the game studios make to their audiences. If you look at the monetization in overwatch 2 it is worse than it was in 1. $20 for a basic skin instead of the opportunity to get loot boxes after every level you gain is insane. Yes loot boxes are bad but I much rather have crates/loot boxes than a $20 skin and I see epic taking the same approach with their item shop. It’s a shame that AAA developers are lacking the insight in what makes a video game its the content such as the promised PVE content or unreal engine 5 that has been promised by developers rather than getting rid of past elements and adding cosmetic for monetization.

One question I have is what they will do with duplicated limited items; will they allow those to be traded into an at least import level item? That's just an interesting idea that would be a good change for the dupes that would be limiteds.
Id want to be able to trade up to a random legacy item because some people who started before f2p don’t have those items
Same situation with tournament rewards. Having duplicate black markets serves no purpose, yet there has been no effort to fix that. They won't do it for dupe limiteds either, as it wouldn't make them any money.
@@waluigivermicelli well I would say only difference being there are limiteds that were only available in the purchased version of the RL pass that weren’t free but tourney rewards is always free so even if they’re dupes nothing was monetarily lost aside from the contrary.

So they're killing rocket league forever just to add a mini game in a completely different game that nobody will even touch again after a week... Why not put the car racing mode in the game that's about cars rather than putting it in the shooter game that has nothing to do with cars? What Fortnite player even asked for this? People load up that game to shoot, not race cars, it makes zero sense. We will have to install and load up fortnite just to play this new mode, they're killing our game to make a different game better and aren't giving us anything to make up for it...
What's next, they going to replace our cars with characters, the ball with guns, the arena with a huge map, the boost with shield potion and change "THIS IS ROCKET LEAGUE!" quick chat to "THIS IS FORTNITE!"? That mini game is not enough to make up for removing trading, it's just going to be a cheap mario kart rip off with rumble mechanics, nobody will care about it after a week, but we will lose a huge part of what made our game so great permanently, it's not worth it. I'm never touching that mode either, I play this game for car soccer, if I wanted mario kart I'd play that game instead.

Just as I predicted. I knew this was what was happening... I made a CZcams video about it actually... They've been talking about a racing mode in Fortnite for a long time... And it all clicked when they announced the removal of trading in Rocket League.
Epic games long term goal is it to build a gaming metaverse. Where you have everything in one place.
But I do 100% agree that removing trading is stupid. Not only many people will stop playing the game, also a lot of content creators will stop making content. Its a marketing desaster for them.
I myself spent thousands of hours in trading and have many items where i have dozens of copies from, which I am unable to get rid of anymore.
Psyonix is saying we can trade them up, but how do I trade up limited item or painted exotics or multiple black markets.
I honestly feel like 99% of my inventory got stolen.

I wish I utilized trading more before it was removed, I started collecting different colored items like halos, crowns, obviously wheels and different cars. I’m a casual player so I occasionally update myself with the updates and new content and when I added and invited someone to trade a TW halo he and I were confused bc I thought the trade button was related and he thought I invited him to play and went afk.
Me and everyone I know that plays rocket league is quitting because of this. Epic sure knows how to kill a community.
Make it so that any items u traded with u can't use in fortnite BOOM TRADING STAYING THEIR COOL UPDATE EVERYONE HAPPY
My simple solution to your theory is, how hard is it to just integrate trading into Fortnite... if they're that desperate for people to play the game again, and that money hungry, i just dont see how thats the much clearer path instead of just destroying another game for their many games benefit

It's outrageous how they decided to do that, and honestly we all will never forgive them. Why can't we at least have an option? I saw that epic took over the rocket league website too. Not even gonna sugar coat it but I hate fortnite. It's a stupid game and I won't ever play it again. I mean I sucked at it anyway so there really is no point. But it's mental how people would really have a stupid little mini game in their stupid shooter game that's not even in first person over keeping trading in rocket league?? How is no one pointing out the fact that in Fortnite Save the World you can join others worlds and trade weapons, materials, traps, etc.? I just don’t understand how this decision aligns with their policies when their main game allows p2p trading still

A lot of your series are based around trading, this is going to kill your upload schedule and many other CZcamsrs upload schedules. The only thing you will truly be able to do now is gameplay. No players can expand their inventory that often, and all we get is a game mode nobody will play in return.

( Warning, some people might not like what i have said but it's my opinion and i thought i should share it. ) All i'm going to say is i hate this...the way they are going i hate it, Rocket league is a really really good game and i love it but if epic are going to destroy a feature that's been in the game for a while then that's not okay in my books, epic has they own "baby" why not leave Psyonix's "baby" alone and just focus on theirs. Fortnite in my opinion is a trash game and idc if people go against me for saying that becs it's my opinion but besides that leave rocket league the way it is and focus on your game. Happen to agree, no communication, CEO of epic saying one thing doing another, had heard about this news and it’s not great. I will keep playing for now and supporting this channel but I am truly gutted the game is not being improved on and trading going Is a travesty.

And to add insult to injury, Epic are trying to get rid of all the credits that people have obtained f2p via trading by adding valuable and wanted items to the item shop. A prime example of this is the gold dueling dragons, as of the 29th of November, the tw mainframe, as of the 27th of November, the black singularity as of the 28th of November, gold zombas as of the 25th of November, also on the same rotation black neuro agitator and if you can count it, on the 23rd of November, Party Time: Noire entered the item shop. As a final fuck you to Epic, Fortnite is dead, you peaked in Chapter 2 Season 2, the OG map was good, but you are not saving Fortnite. Instead of ruining other well loved games, that have more history then you could dream of Fortnite ever having, maybe, although this is not a good ending but rather a meet in the middle, add a tax to trading. Everyone knows you are trying to get more money as no-one purchases credits anymore, and if they want them they go to third party sellers or trading, no-one likes Fortnite anymore, it is too convoluted. That is all I need to say, please spread the word to Epic.

In retrospect rocket league racing isn’t worth taking away trading. It’s sad they would strip of content of a game just to make it more compatible with another game. It’s actually foolish, trading in game adds whole different element of game that consumers can’t help but love. But they won’t be cheap and tax is at the same okay epic games. Rocket league racing was a big let down I haven’t touched after the 1st week it came out it’s boring repetitive and could never compare to the game formula that is rocket league. It doesn’t even feel like rocket league, it just feels like generic high octane racing game that you’d see in a arcade. It could’ve been something great that they could’ve added to RL but they made more for fortnite unfortunately and now people forgetting about RL racing.

I replied to a trash talker and got banned so I wont be able to bring back the items I put in my storage account and the items I was lending to friends. Lost thousands of items. Yeah I know I should ignore them instead of saying things back, but I do not have this kind of calm. The only reason I was placing my items in a storage account waa that the amount of items was lagging my game too much.
For clarification the ban was a month and it will end just after the trading removal.
