- If you are looking for some fun weapons then you need to play Wo Long. There are many different weapons you can choose from and each varient can drop with a variety of martial arts. These arts can make a weapon really good or really bad. it all depends on how you use them. This was in the demo, but I was pretty excited to get my hands on this game and master the combat. Testing the weapons allowed me to see how amazing medium-sized weapons are. Spears, polearms, and halberds feel great in this game. If you are having trouble with the combat maybe choose something like a sword that his much better deflect chance.
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is a brand new souls-like game similar to the series Nioh. The developer's Team NINJA actually developed that game so we can assume this next one will be similar. You play as a nameless militia soldier who is thrown into the middle of a massive war. One side has the help of demons making your job a lot harder. Customize your build with various elements and spells. Use unique weapons such as swords, clubs, and bows. Take down enemy posts to gain Morale and increase your power. Join a friend or get help from complete strangers. Wo Long is very fast-paced and full of action.

Just remember that the stats you upgrade scale your weapon damage if your weapon has them on it. The higher the grade on the weapon the better the damage scaling on it. If your weapon has a fire grade of A, water B, and metal C, then having your fire virute stat high will scale this weapon nicely. Secondary stats of water and metal help as well but not as much.
So using a weapon like the marquis axes on a water/metal build is useless
@@ShiniDoesDubz your damage is going to be much lower for sure since the weapon isnt scaling with your selected virtues upgraded.
one thing you mightve gotten wrong about cudgel is that it serves as a very balanced weapon. the low damage is offset by that high speed and the big deflect window makes it very much a newbie friendly. it is quite literally the most balanced weapon in every situation. makes every fight relatively easy unlike other weapons with specific enemy advantages.
the only downside is the sprint attack which has a long animation windup.
Glad I watched this video. I’m about 1/4 of the way through the story and I’ve just been using the basic sword given at the beginning. This video gave me some ideas to try stuff out.
Bro.. best breakdown of the stats I've seen. I'm on NG+ and only now do i understand weapon stats to decide on the 300+ unique weapons I've gathered lol. Thank you 🙏🏿
Awesome! Glad I could help!
I love big slow weapons in games and really enjoyed the one from the first boss
The polearm is pretty great. It's like fast enough and does a pretty good dps and stagger potential. I just started trying the halberd last night. Need more testing but I'm pairing it with the staff so quick bursts with staff to a transform during deflects should do quite well for these two weapons I'm thinking
Only swords for me in this game, single, dual , cant get enough of them
The swords ended up being my favorite as well.
The iron spectrum is so fun to use
My Y move for dual sword is a poke, how do I change it to the move you spin in the air.
Polaris Club I just spam jump attacks it charges spirit gauge and does decent DMG.
Ngl the first bosses tracking is fuckking insane he can be mid move and still find a way to make it connect
He is a very tough first boss. I was surprised and he too me a little over an hour with non stop attempts to figure out the first time.
As a fan of martial arts Unarmed is nice as well.... just need to make sure your defence and/or dodging is on point as you can't parry without a weapon
Your doing an unarmed playthrough? Oof
I don't see how it's nice, you really don't do any cool moves anyways
Lmao I did a couple levels but it ain't worth the hassle tbh
@@dennistonrockstone it's as bad as unarmed play in Naraka you're clearly supposed to have a weapon, they missed an opportunity for weapons like gauntlets or boots
@@techedbirb6663most likely will be DLC
The bronze spear is also amazing
Love the bronze spear. The medium weapons seem really good at the moment. Very balanced between speed and damage with long reach.
Night owl set gave me platinum
So you farmed the different weapons? I'm interested in the Bronze Dual Swords but I haven't see them yet
They are very fun. Honestly any dual sword so far has been very fast and I think would be great for applying status effects.
I like the stick
Extremely fast and great for deflecting.
I used porlam padeo till Zhang jian, then I switched to dule swords and thay are op! Upgrade them and u will destroy any boss! I'm fire/earth build and thay work well I recommend them.
Can someone please explain this:
Will weapons in the beginning of the game have the same damage as the end of the game?
e.g. will the iron sword you get in the early game have the same damage as the iron sword you get in the end game?
Not sure if you got your answer yet or not. Short answer is yes long answer is cause any of them can be upgraded to have better stats what really matters other than it’s stats is the rarity level. As the amount of stars for a weapon dictates how many special effects/buffs it’ll have. Note that this only affects special affects not martial arts of the weapon i believe. So something with four stars is gonna be the best version of that whatever weapon you are using at least in the first play that is. Ng+ allows you to unlock 5 star items. So anything you find with 4 stars is going to be the best version of any weapon you can get. Which you are able to start obtaining as soon as you start the game. Three star items are also not terrible first play through but really wanna shoot for the 4 stars. Hope this helps and isn’t confusing!
Also you’re probably aware of this already but loot system is diablo like so i believe while some enemies have higher chances to drop better gear and rarities you can get lucky from some easier units even. Kinda a luck of the draw system at least from what i’ve seen in my own play through.
@@random08957 thanks for the info. I have reached lu bu boss fight. And after 20+ attempts he is wrecking the shit out of me.
It can be different if they are at different upgrade levels but if you upgrade the lower level one they become the same in terms of damage.
Is the hammer the closest to greatsword type weapons in the game? I like to go for a Guts type build lol
You can get a giant battleaxe which is the biggest weapon I have found so far. No longsword so far, but the glave could fit that part sort of.
Are there any katanas in this game?
I'm kind of sad the dual halberds don't seem to be that good. It was the one weapon I was thinking about maining.
I don’t know I been going ham with them especially with a certain martial arts combination that I don’t want to spoil.
Honestly it will all be personal preference. Because with the right classes and enough stats most weapons do pretty well.
@@SheenShots After actually playing the game I realized they scaled with fire, so maybe that's why they didn't seem good to him, but I'm doing a fire build and they are really good if you invest in fire.
A tier scaling in fire
@@babayaga4320 Exactly. Weapons are only good if you invest in them. Kind of hard to judge a weapons potential if you are not building for it. Kinda foolish. That being said, with a fire build...these things melt. Especially with A scaling in fire. If you are going to judge a weapon, at least be built properly for it.
what enemy types dropped the dual/single halberd
Any, just have to get lucky but also later I campaign you get a pair from Sun Ce
How to start the demo from beginning after it ends?
at the flags you can travel, just go back to the first area and you should be good.
No odachi equivalent?
Polearm feel like odachi
"A B scaling would be bad..."
Bruh. Sure, it wouldn't be great in the end game, but you're literally playing the demo here. Chiiiiiilll.
A and B scaling are good while D scaling is not great. Its not really about beginning or end game. Mostly just trying to find a weapon that scales well with your upgraded stats.
