Quantum Stealth "invisibility cloak" can conceal people and entire buildings

  • Canadian camouflage company Hyperstealth Biotechnology has patented the technology behind a material that bends light to make people and objects near invisible to the naked eye.
The material, called Quantum Stealth, is currently still in the prototyping stage, but was developed by the company's CEO Guy Cramer primarily for military purposes, to conceal agents and equipment such as tanks and jets in the field.
As well as making objects close to invisible to the naked eye, the material also conceals them from infrared and ultraviolet imagers.
Unlike traditional camouflage materials, which are limited to specific conditions such as forests or deserts, according to Cramer this "invisibility cloak" works in any environment or season, at any time of day.

"In 2010 I figured out invisibility."
    Translation:
"In 2010 I saw a video of a Lubor's Lens so I tried to patent it and made company around that stolen idea to sell to the US military for stupid amounts of money."
Also, comments appear to be removed on the company's version of this video. How strange....

In the current state, it is useless for the military anyway, unless Cramer manages to implement it in a more pliable way like cloth cover for vehicles while still working as a flat bendable lens. In flat bendable form as it is showed it will end at best as a riot shield for some fancy media showy SWAT team public event to lure recruits into a police departments or perhaps as a transparent gun shield on vehicles to reduce the visibility of mounted gun operator, and for that, the military can order large Lubor's lens from China and put it behind some bulletproof transparent material...
Either way, not a game-changer in the current form...

It's not really bending light tho. It's actually taking the light and splitting it up into thousands of narrow shafts, which repeat to make it appear like one, long, singular texture, when it's really the same texture, really tiny repeated hundreds of times.
