The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd FIFA World Cup. The tournament will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. 60 matches, including the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and the final, will be hosted by the United States while neighboring Canada and Mexico will each host 10 matches. The tournament will be the first hosted by three nations. This tournament will be the first to include 48 teams, expanded from 32.

I think everybody does. Beautiful cultures. A lot of variaty with Canada, Mexico and even East/West/South of the USA. Large stadiums. World Cup during summer instead of winter. An expansion from 32 to 48 countries. And not being played in a corrupt Gulf State ofcourse.

@@amathman129 lumen field in seattle gives me European vibes for sure, gillette stadium is about 30 minutes from where I live and has hosted wc matches in 1994 and women's wc matches in 1999 and 2003 so will be nice to see the wc come back. nothing beats estadio azteca although I'm betting on the final either being at sofi stadium or metlife

My prediction is final will be held at Metlife due to time zone closer to Europe and opening games will be Sofi for USA, Azteca for Mexico & Toronto for Canada. All three opening host games will be played on the same day.
Update edit: i was one day off (opening game at the Azteca) from my prediction being 100% right.

AT&T stadium I think. World cup final being held at the highest capacity. In case of time zone, its easy to adjust the kickoff time so many countries could possibly watch the final. Also Jerry Jones I think wants that event to happen his stadium.
@@michaelfariscal396 Looking at timezone differences i think AT&T could be a good middle ground as i think time zones could still play a big part regardless if its indoors or not. Expect some big under the table transactions going into a few Fifa exec bank accounts over the upcoming many months as hosting the final is a huge deal when factoring the exposure of having the largest single sports event on the planet played at their stadium

Anyone traveling to the States, Canada or Mexico and have never seen these stadiums in real life. You will be amazed!! Dallas, LA, New York/New Jersey, Mexico City and Guadalupe are the most impressive and you must see. Plan your trip around the stadiums, not just the games for this one!

I believe Toronto's BMO field will be renovated, otherwise it doesn't deserve World Cup games.

Yup I agree. The minimum size to host the qualifying games needs to be 40k.
Drove passed it a few times, yeah, BMO field needs a lot of love, that thing is average at best.
BMO will undergo a temporary expansion to accommodate 42k spectators. The reason one end of the stadium is open is because it doubles as the home venue of the Toronto Argonauts who play Canadian Football, which is similar to American Football but has a longer and wider field than a soccer pitch.

Mexico is just a co-host, it should be US alone but they give a spot for the 2 countries so that it would be sure that they'd get the spot, as you know money countries might sabotage like Qatar and Russia

I read that it's gonna be at SoFi or Metlife. I'd prefer it be at Azteca as well. If not Azteca i'd rather it be at the Rose Bowl but they aren't gonna use it, which is a goddamn shame. I'd like to see the final at a historic venue as well, not a venue that's less than ten years old.

They go by Metropolitan area. Many of these stadiums aren’t even in the actual cities themselves but are in the metro area. Levi’s is in Santa Clara(50 min drive from San Francisco), MetLife in East Rutherford, AT&T in Arlington, SoFi in Inglewood, BBVA in Guadalupe, and Hard Rock in Miami Gardens

Bernabéu hosted the 1982 final and has less capacity than Camp Nou, maybe you can say it won because of the roof, but Rose Bowl in 1994 hadn't and hosted the final, so i don't know exactly the requests for the World Cup final, i can bet it will be MetLife for the importance of NY, but AT&T is a monster Stadium also, even Azteca can go to the fight, it hosted two finals before, so maybe for history can be consider.

48 teams? Jesus I think I will give it all a miss. How England the home & birth of football has still not been giving it since 1966 is an insult. We don't have to build one stadium, it's all here. The 2030 World Cup will be the turn of the European Zone, who knows we might get it but I doubt it. The magic has gone anyway, still with 48 teams maybe Scotland might qualify & that would be magic!

Montreal Olympic Stadium is a dump. Although Rogers Centre is a beautiful baseball stadium, it doesn’t have natural grass, so not suitable for WC soccer. Also Rogers Centre will be getting a 300 million dollar upgrade to make it even more baseball friendly than it already is.
