St Laurenskerk…. Been there MANY times, visiting grandmum and other relatives in Rotterdam. You see, my parents immigrated to USA from Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1956. They lived through the terribleness of the bombing of their city during the occupation by Nazis while in childhood/early teen years.
Always nice to hear the organ in a 1400s church nearly DECIMATED by the bombing raid of 14 May 1940.
A bit of history: the church ORIGINALLY was a Catholic church (1400(?)- ) with all the icons and altars. The Dutch Reformation during the 16th century (Calvin, 1572) saw St. Laurens become a Dutch Reformed church. A LOT OF HISTORY IN THAT CHURCH. Look it up online. (I still have print books from long ago.)
To hear Richard play it here on this CZcams video brings back many memories of my visits to the city of my ancestry.
Thanks, Richard.
PS: there are THREE organs in that church! I believe he played the “hoofdorgel” (Great [or head] Organ)….
Wow! l'anche de 32 pieds à la fin! Quelle profondeur!
WOW!!! This is a superb piece. Loved listening to it.
Wonderful performance of a beautiful and powerful piece 🎶
Masterfully executed Richard. Wow Congrats. You are a distinguished organist and light years ahead of me hey. Blessings to you and wife and baby
Glorious!

Bravo Richard! Outstanding . Thank you
Lovely, more please
Absolutely stunning! ( ...and you didn't practice 😳 ...) You have the hands, feet and brain of Bach himself! Thank you so very much...❤💒🇦🇺
This is one of my favorite pieces!
Love it, very moving!🌹
Spectacular!!!!
That contrabombarde! Uff! Glorious, but my neighbors may be getting up a petition. I'll put your name on the mailbox....
🤣👍
Maybe I'll change my answer on "desert island" music... this is superb! I'll take this recording with me ;)
To me the P&F in c is how I imagine the sound of God. Beautifully done! (Although I prefer a smaller, humbler registration: eg Varnus on Silbermann organ - only 29 ranks I think).
Don't get me wrong - I love the size and space if this!
Ever thought of making a recording of it, and other pieces? Get a sponsor. I did that, sponsored an SACD recording of my favourite, Whitlock Sonata at Rochdale town hall a few weeks ago
Wonderful, thanks for sharing! regards from my channel!
Those socks made this more sad than it needed to be!
