Making Three Catch All Trays / EDC Trays on my Onefinity Journeyman X-50 Hobby CNC! I'll go over the entire process as well as share a Multi-Tray file that I've created! I will make a simple tray, a pen tray, as well as a ripple tray in this video. The program that I'm using is Carveco Maker+
I think this file will be very useful to CNC beginners. I created it after not being able to find something similar when I was first starting out. I hope that others can get some good use out of it.

I don't have experience with the Shapeoko CNC machine or the Xcarve CNC, but I do know that the Onefinity CNC machine is awesome!

I stumbled across your videos as I bought a Onefinity cnc recently and I have to say I really enjoy your content.
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome tutorial. Thank you
Hi Hamilton, Great vid and well done my friend. Much Thanks, ~ Al
Good stuff.
great video, will be purchasing file
Awesome, thank you!
You use a sandblaster? I’d be interesting in trying that. Must be great for tough spots to reach. Nice video, keep it up!
Ever try using a continental mask over the piece and leave it on for the sand-blasting process? Protects the masked areas for dual-texturing. Used extensively by custom glass shops back in the day.
We used only MACTAC vinyl for light blasting/clean-up - far cheaper than Continental mask (for heavy blast etching/harder materials).
Never have used that, but I'll give it a shot!
Awesome Hamilton thanks. As a complete novice, I was wondering what is the accuracy one can achieve on a mass production doing this process? Meaning if I set specific sizes with the cnc, how accurate will be let's say the actual inside cut compared to the settings? Because I have 200 ceramic dishes (rectangle shape) and I would like to have 200 trays made and then put the dishes inside the trays (I'd like them to fit as precise as possible without leaving to much of a gap). Would you say too much variation occurs among the trays causing some dishes to fit and some don't?
Also😅is that white oak? What are the most efficient woods for long lasting trays in your opinion?

So, where's the part where you show how to make or draw the vectors
Well done. What do you charge for a tray like that?
Depending on selling locally vs online as well as materials used..
Locally: $20-$35
Online: $35-$50 ("free" shipping)
A lot of factors for pricing, of course. But I think those are reasonable prices.
I bought these from you off Etsy. I'm using a Shapeoko, so I'm using Carbide Create Pro. Just curious what the overall depth of the tray is. You mentioned leaving "a lot of material in the bottom" and set the depth to 0.5". Are you making these at 1"? More?
I normally use .75" material and try to keep .125" thick bottom on my trays. Hope that helps!
Oh, it's a "Pen" tray. All the way through, i thought you were calling it a Pin tray!
