  • Got this Yamaha WR450F in a trade for my Tri-motos. Did I get ripped off? The kick starter goes down with no resistance and it will not turn over using the electric start or trying to roll start it.

    Jeeeebus Christez.. I’ve never seen one broken up that bad internally haha. If it were a car instead of a bike, it would have been easier to light a match and collect the insurance ;)

      LOL I got it in a trade for the 2 tri moto 3 wheelers. I'm going to post another update that shows how much I spent on parts so far. I just hope it runs in the end...

    If you were worried that the engine might have been stuck...... why didn't you just push-start the bike?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  Před 5 lety +2

      That could do even more damage. If I had done that the jammed up gears inside could have destroyed the case

    I just came back to your channel, I used to watch it all the time when I rode quads, I changed over to dirt bikes however. Do you plan on keeping the WR after you fix it?

      Graham Vandermark I won't know for sure until I ride it. I do miss my old dual sports.

      we have only used it once and its driving me nuts. need to get it out and use it more this spring and summer. I have an air lift leveling kit to keep her a little more stable down the road this time. was a little wobbly on my little short bed f-250 with worn out springs. my wife has a ram 3500 we might use instead till I can get the bags on my 250.

      what you also need to get is a weight distribution hitch, helps big time. i haul minewith my 01 silverado 5.3 ex cab, toy hauler is 7000lbs after its fully loaded. full fresh water tank, 2 quads, full fridge and freezer, full propane tanks and 2 batts. she tows solid. WD hitch makes a huge difference

      yes I have heard they do help a lot. my little 250 was not that bad unless we were getting passed by a semi in the heavy wind, then it was kind of a crazy ride. I will see about the WD hitch thanks

      another thing that would help is the anti sway bar, look that up too. im going riding tmrw, not taking the hauler cuz its raining. i will never let mud touch these tires. i baby her to much
