- Remember in Episode 5 when I said, “I’ve never experienced wind like this before?” That record was quickly broken during my stay in Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Before the wind/duststorm struck, I did get a couple of really great hikes in, then it was time to hunker down and wait it out! This video details the experience including the aftermath. Oh. My. GAWWWWD. We here in Boulder are familiar with scary windstorms, but we've never experienced one in our camper ... so I'm grateful for your hard-won wisdom, which I will file away in "things I hope we never have to use but will sing Greg's praises when we do."

Oh my gosh!! that's crazy. Things are BIGGER in Texas (my home state)! Glad you made it through the wind safely. I feel so bad for the folks in the RV-glad they were safely inside the visitor center.
We were there too with you! Crazy winds. We left before Thursday afternoon when the winds were going to be up 95 mph.
