    Lyrics:
Love of my life, you've hurt me
    You've broken my heart
    And now you leave me
Love of my life, can't you see?
Bring it back, bring it back
Don't take it away from me
    Because you don't know
    What it means to me
Love of my life, don't leave me
    You've taken my love
    (All my love)
    You now desert me
Love of my life, can't you see?
    (Please bring it back)
Bring it back, bring it back
Don't take it away from me
    Because you don't know
    What it means to me
    You will remember
    When this is blown over
And everything's all by the way
    When I grow older
I will be there at your side
To remind you how I still love you
    I still love you
    Back, hurry back
Please, bring it back home to me
    Because you don't know
    What it means to me
    Love of my life
    Love of my life

Queen truly loved their fans, Freddie said he would be nothing without the fans. Freddie's last video before he died, he looked into the camera and said I still love you to the fans. Freddie was a very kind, generous, shy, and loving human. I think you would like Who Wants To Live Forever, a live version . Great reaction.

Wembley was sold out 72,000 people in the crowd. The album version of this song is very different, Brian plays harp and John plays upright bass, it was not possible to reproduce this song as it was in the studio version, live so Freddie and Brian just did it this way, simple and beautiful. Thank you for your reactions.

You noticed that Brian is playing his 12-string acoustic guitar on this one. Has any one mentioned yet that he made his "Red Special" electric guitar himself, when he was 17 (with his dad's help? He still uses it today as his primary instrument. And, of course, he now has a PhD in Astrophysics.

I really enjoy your reactions, you are enthusiastic and curious about everything. The remark that came from Celica is great: Live in the moment! This is a thing that was Freddie's philosophy, live for today. He had a great sense of humor, he was a caring, loving and polite man who sometimes went mad. On the stages, too. 🤣
Love Of My Life is a beautiful love song, you also have to listen to the album version for the famous Queen harmonies. Freddie has another brilliant peformance with You Take My Breath Away at the Hyde Park 76. Just him and the piano, check it out once. Greetings from Budapest.

Freddie wrote this lovely song inspired by good friend & former fiancé Mary Austin!! They lived together for a few years before Queen became The Greatest .. even supported Freddie during that time! Their romance ended when Freddie revealed his sexuality! Altho, Mary commented later that she suspected … cuz Freddie had already began to distance himself from her. Nonetheless, Mary remained an endearing, trustworthy, & loyal friend to Freddie until the day he died. He left her over 50% of his estate and Garden Lodge, Freddie’s home! Mary still lives there today! 🤵🏻‍♂️💕👩‍💼

Love of my life was a staple of their shows from 1977 onwards. It first had to be stripped back to what they performed live. The studio cut is very different. Beautiful & different.
Acoustic guitars are either 6 or 12 string. That’s my limited knowledge. Lol. They always did an acoustic set during their shows, which often included piano based songs.
Awww “he’s living in the moment.”

Brian is playing a 12 string Ovation Balladeer guitar. The strings are arranged in pairs so you play it as you would a normal 6 string guitar. A 12 string gives a fuller sound and has a kind of chorus effect.

See their performance at Live Aid. The greatest performance ever.
    Also try listening to:
Pentatonix (an a cappella group) there is no instruments. Listen to “ Hallelujah“ first, then Amazing Grace, Sound of Silence, Mary Don’t You Know.
Also try listening to Home Free (a country a cappella group) who does covers. Try listening to: “Ring of Fire”, “ Man of constant sorrow), the end of the road, and two country singers trying to sing opera singing Nessum Dorma. Again no instruments just a great Beat Boxer.

Saw a quote on Instagram that I hope is true. The costumer for the Magic Tour was with Freddie in the moments before he ran out on stage for the first song and she heard him say to himself "Once I'm out there, I'm all theirs." Sure seemed to be the way he, Brian, Roger and John treated the crowd at each concert. If you check out the set list for this tour, you will see a long list of demanding songs.
I'd love to see you react to One Vision Live at Wembley. The energy is over the top. It's the same concert as this one. I can't imagine how many miles Freddie ran across that stage each night.

Freddie wrote this for his fiance and they stayed very close friends even after Freddie moved on. He left her the rights to this song. Peter Freestone, his personal assistant said he thought it was written from Mary's point of view. Good review. For something different "Breakthru" official video is excellent. Freddie was very much a nice guy, very loyal to his fans and friends, and said in an interview that music wasn't his life, he lived for love. His personal life was very different from his stage life. Off stage he was very private, described often as shy, and very much into the arts and friends from many walks of life, and always very generous by nature.

A few more Queen suggestions, if you don't mind: First, react to the trilogy of songs called "Tenement Funster", "Flick of the Wrist" and "Lily of the Valley" as they go together very well! Second, do a reaction to the entire Side Black of the Queen II LP! It includes "Ogre Battle", "The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke", "Nevermore", "March of the Black Queen", "Funny How Love Is" and a song you have already reacted to - "The Seven Seas of Rhye". Each of these songs were written by Freddie, and they flow together beautifully!! Peace!!

Actually, I think you guys are the hidden gem. I really like your honest, heart-felt reactions and genuine curiosity about the band and the music. Thank you for allowing me to witness your journey through the Queen rabbit hole! One of the most mind blowing performances of Love of My Life is in their live concert in Rio in 1985. They had the worlds largest paying crowd of over 250k people who's primary language was NOT English and they sang the whole song in English to Freddie. Another truly mind blowing moment is the 2017 Green Day audience live in London in Hyde Park who spontaneously began singing Bohemian Rhapsody while waiting for Green Day to take the stage. That is a must see. The crowd sings all the parts and even some of the instrumental parts! It's nuts!

Great reaction guys! Freddie wrote this after a break up. But over the years it became his love song to the crowd to the fans, who would sing it back to him, sort of a duet between him and the audience. Very moving!
