Apart from being an accomplished musician, utilizing multiple types of instruments, Jaya's polyphonic throat-singing techniques project singular tone and clarity. (His horsemanship is pretty darn impressive, too!) Gotta say, all of The HU bandmembers, alone and together, are truly remarkable fellows. HU-HU-HU-HU!

Personally, I hope in the future that G. Nyamjantsan uses the tovshuur, to go along with Temka. I’ve also seen videos of Enkhush playing guitar, such as in one of their HUs in The Kitchen episodes and the most recent teaser of their second album recording in the studio. I love The HU and I’m learning Mongolian just because of this band. They have introduced me to such an amazing and unique culture so isolated that the only way to truly experience it is to go there myself, and I plan to do so. I grew up with many metal bands and one in particular I will always love is Alice In Chains, I sure hope to see them collab with AIC as well because it would be amazing seeing my favorite childhood band go together with my favorite teenager/young adult band in a cover song! I wish everybody, and especially all of the other HU fans the best of luck in life, and know that you got a hella badass taste in music!!❤️🇺🇸👋🇲🇳 greetings to Mongolia from the USA! These are traditional instruments and probably hand made, yet the sounds are rich, full, evocative of the wind and open land. And a tough people oppressed by the Chinese and now remembering who they are in their own country.
This is an incredible voice performance. The transition from low scratchy tone, to very high, is impressive!... Unless he's using a whistle that I can't see. Just amazing! I love the Hu, I've their first album, my Tshirt, my poster, and lots of photos from the concert in Chicago which was amazing btw!
There is no whistle at all, that is pure vocal technique, it's one of the many different styles of throat singing. That one in particular tends to be the most challenging one and it's called sygyt. He is literally filtering the frequencies of the primary note he is singing in a way that allows people to hear the harmonics over that note with much more clarity.
1:40 and on, You hear that a lot in spiritual and meditation videos, I always thought it was an instrument or computer generated. Even more incredible when you see and hear it is done from a person, I couldn't believe it, Absolutely amazing.
His clothes are beautiful. They look like ancient Mongols. If he rode a horse in this suit, he would look very handsome. Ah, how vast and wonderful the grasslands of Mongolia are. I just heard that there are many, many sheep in Mongolia. They graze on the beautiful grasslands.
What an amazing 😉 “Baby Face” here...the diversity and technique is incredible. Thanks for posting this. I love the traditional throat singing demonstration.
If you guys think this is good, you should really seriously go listen to Charles Manson's song called I'm on fire that he recorded secretly with simple tape recorders bootlegged and snuck into prison I think that is where the melody and rhythm and arrangement of this song came from listen to it and then you'll see what I'm talking about!!! I know it sounds crazy but it's true and I'm completely serious please check out I'm On fire by Charles Manson with his throat singing and his Lo-Fi strumming guitar sound just like this like he's playing an old cigar box hobo guitar or some handmade simple instrument for rhythm it's pretty phenomenal!!!
Tuvans were part of the Mongolia till 1910 russian separated from us, still consider one of the Mongolian Ethnic group, dress tradition all same if you realize
@@Razielmn While you have very similar culture, this isn't a Mongol melody. It's originally a Tuvan one. That's the whole point. It's like saying English and Germans are both Germanic so it's okay for English people to take a German song and say it's their own. Bullshit
@@bogswats3420 Yeah Mongol melody right?...not Altaic melody... brain washed by russian and turks soo good. Then you can say your tuvan music is more with russian slavic white melody, part of the RUssian federation after all. Tuvans are russians lmao

It's a melody from Tuvan Turks. Oh really they were part of mongolia? you were part of Turks for tousands of years you intermingle in Turk lands for ages you only seperated from us after the Göktürk Empire lol we even build Turkic Federation, the Genghisid Empire (Not mongol empire as it's more of a stupid 19th century term neither Genghis Khan nor the army were Mongol hell 80-85% of the army were Turks lol)
