Pre-recorded guest questions came from Professor Green, Bryan Cranston and James Franco, The Vamps, Sadiq Khan, Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins from OneRepublic, Miranda Hart, Gemma Chan, Michelle Keegan and Rick Astley. In-studio guest questions were provided by Mark-Francis Vandelli from Made in Chelsea and Pamela Anderson. The children of Mitchell Brook Primary School acted out Traingate. Jon Snow reported on Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling". Charles Dance read from Rylan's autobiography. The mystery guest was Zac Alsop, who posed as a fencer and blagged his way on to one of Team GB's 2016 Olympics victory parade floats in Manchester. - Komedie

I’ve seen every episode of Big Fat Quiz, some more than once, but this one I’ve seen multiple times. The teams are amazing but the Mel & Romesh combo was outstanding.
Love watching these shows over and over.This is one of the few episodes where i like all the teams.
As I recall, they did name the ship's drone submarine Boaty McBoatface as a token consolation.

Basically all dubstep, the words may as well be instruments for all the sense they make.
Well it's music not poetry, if all you care about are the lyrics you may as well just read them without listening to the music. I mean hell, even with hip hop, I focus more on the beat and the flow of the rapper before paying attention to the actual specific words and phrases and their meanings. A song doesn't even require vocals, think about all the great instrumental music

I am not really sure where I stand on the quality of lyrics issue, I enjoy a lot of songs in languages I can't understand like Japanese and Chinese, but on the other hand if it's in a language I understand (English) then if I find the lyrics objectionable (like most American music) then it doesn't matter how good the soundtrack is I won't like it. Now I'll admit a good portion of my perception of a song is its origin, I'm going to be much more critical of any American music unless it's civil war or prior. I just have a deep instinctual loathing for American pop hip hop etc and anything that mimics it like Lilly Allen or most k-pop

Mel B "peeing" on Bear Grylls after he pretends to get stung by a jellyfish is some next-level bullshit. They're really counting on us believing a) that urine can help the sting, b) he somehow got stung even though we can see he didn't, and c) anything in that show is at all real.
I thought the same - it's been debunked for quite some time now that peeing on a jellyfish sting helps, surely a "survival expert" would know that.
He also reported drinking urine when out of water which is exceptionally bad for you. It's filled with salts and everything else your body wants rid of and the body uses up precious water getting rid of the toxins for a 2nd time. Previously he and his team were caught staying in hotels when claiming to be sleeping rough overnight. He's no stranger to tv trickery

I always tried, until recently, to use correct punctuation- question marks, capital letters et cetera- in Google searches. Not because I imagined the 'people'
at Google judging me, but as a personal 'keep calm & use the language properly' thing.
These days I type in searches with almost no punctuation, no capitals- even for names. Sometimes I let smelling misteaks stand because I know Google will understand & find what I'm looking for anyway.
I'm mostly okay with this slackness but occasionally, I feel a twinge of shame that I have really only let myself down.

Bullet train (Shinkansen) is the high speed rail service in Japan. Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion is an animated series based on a model train franchise, the main character is a train enthusiast and often shares obscure information about trains/railways in much the same way Mel does here regarding the Crossrail.
