Hey guys! Just a note in case you missed it in the description but unfortunately Zaycon Fresh isn't in business anymore :( If I happen to find a similar company I will update the description to let you know! Thank you so much for watching...Sorry for any inconvenience Xx
Aldi's canned fruits and vegetables are made in USA and Save-a- Lots are also. I think those brands better and cheaper as well. Some brand name.are Not made in USA.
My top tip is to think of saving money as your second job. Instead of spending your time working a second job to get out of debt, spend your time planning and looking for bargains. You'll save just as much and you can work this job to suit your schedule and you are the boss!
Great tip! When I left my part-time job this summer I told my husband that part of my new "job" at home was working to make our dollar stretch as far as possible!
@@KristinStones check out americas cheapest family. She was a stay at home mum and they raised 5 kids on the husbands modest salary. They have lots of great tips you can add to your channel.
You’ve put into words what I often think to myself, esp. when I observe some people that I know personally stressed and worn out from side hustling, still complaining about not having enough $$, and handing $$ to the Dr. bc their health is not the best, which I personally think could be due to the side hustle stress. It’s now how much you make, but moreso what you’re doing with it. I love how you put it - see the very best use of your income as your second job.
Shopping on line (Walmart) is the best tool to control spending. I pick an amount that I want to spend then I start shopping. If I go over my budget I can look at my list and modify it to meet my goal.
If shopping in the large supermarkets take time to look high and low. The cheapest items are usually hidden out of eye level. You can save a fortune if you take the time to really scan every product available.
I think you are brave for putting yourself out there and "airing out" your family's laundry... Great job streamlining your expenses and sharing your tips to living more frugally. Keep up the great videos.
The great thing about grocery shopping online is you can do it at any time of day (while the kids are sleeping!) AND you can snack while you shop which reduces impulse buys!
I work for a grocery store locally as a personal shopper in the online ordering department. I have learned how to shop much better by filling these orders. And we automatically apply in store coupons and weekly ad prices when they ring up at the register. So now I shop at my local grocery store, and our new Aldi. I have no desire whatsoever to step into another Walmart!
Thank you very much for the tips Ms. Stones, I usually buy my laundry, bread, eggs, milk products....etc at Dollar Tree (everything for a dollar), I'm saving at least 50 % or more. Please check it out folks, you will be amazed of the savings. God bless you and your family Ms. Stone.
Another good way to not buy a bunch of things you don’t really need when grocery shopping is to utilize something like Wal-Mart grocery pickup. You order online drive up they bring it out and put it in your car. Love it!
Great tips ! Frugal living debt free is the only way, I will give you a tip I use a coupon clipping site because we don’t coupons much on the snail mail, I have emailed the companies for products I use. Although a lot of my time was taken for 3 hours doing this, a week later I was surprised by how many free coupons I received. Small River Town I live in, no big box stores, only Walmart, Kroger and Aldi don’t shop Aldi anymore to expensive and they don’t except coupons. Keep up the great job 💐
Two good apps to have is Flipp for online store ads and grocery shopping calculator app which you can calculate and enter the prices of your items and enter the sales taxes. It's very helpful!
I have a small side gig that gives me anywhere from $3-$20 a month (in a good month it's high, in a bad one it's more like zero). I managed to save enough every few months to buy myself little treats or treat my friend to a gift card or for a tiny Christmas gift for my husband and family. $20 is actually a fortune when you don't have a job and you REALLY think about what you want/need.
I just uploaded my YT "experiment" as well! I loved how you said that. :) Our grocery budget is nuts, so I need all the help I can get. Thanks for the tips! I wish we had an Aldi-type store near us. We live in the mountains in northern California and our options our limited, but that can't be our excuse.
Great tips! I've been using most of these for a while now. I have the flip app and I like to compare the Walmart prices to Aldi's and Food Lion. Sometimes things actually end up being cheaper at Walmart or when they're on sale at Food Lion then my regular store, Aldi's.
My meal plan, eggs bacon spinach for breakfast, mango oatmeal shake for lunch, chicken and sweet potatoes for dinner peanut butter for a snack, everyday. Makes shopping super easy
Try keeping out of shops! Do the grocery shop, then keep out! If you're out of an ingredient try replacing with something different! Once you go back into that store it takes a strong will not to stick to the item you went in for!
& with couponing... it helps to follow people that do coupon like krazy coupon lady where they do the work for you in matching up coupons to the sales for you if you don’t have the time to do it yourself.
I don't use cash, someone always asks for change, so I use cc. No Aldis. I go over my grocery receipts at the end of day! Limit my snack food purchases. I bake and try to add old fashioned oatmeal to those recipes.
What do you do about purchasing cleaning supplies, household supplies, health and beauty? Are these items figured in with your groceries or do you purchase them separately on another day? When I buy groceries I get everything at one time...food, cleaning, household, meds, beauty. My just food items may not be a lot but once I start putting in shampoo, toilet paper, washing powder, lightbulbs, otc meds, or whatever we might need I see me bill increasing. Just curious about this. Thanks!!
I love my sams club membership. Costco is great but sams has been cheaper for us (barely) but it is also closer. So that saves us in gas and time! We do not have cloth diapers so the diapers alone paid for the membership within two purchases
Love your you tube video. You are one smart cookie. I started using Aldi about 8 months ago and I love it. I love their produce and I have saved many dollars.
Makes such a huge difference! I actually use a clicker now (when I remember it) and I like it better than the calculator bc I don’t accidentally clear it!
Hope you have paid off the rest of the debt. I'm surprised you said this was the first video. I agree with you about Ibotta, I found I haven't used it that much recently because I can find similar items cheaper, especially at Aldi. Saving Star is linked to our ShopRite card (on east coast) and get some money, but only if there is not a digital store coupon associated with that item. I also use cash but have avoided having to put items back on because I use a grocery list program that my husband made with the stores I shop at each week, hopefully it will be online soon. Similar to how you explained using the Walmart site (our local store does not have a great selection). I add what items I want to my list, if I am under budget (usually $100/mo. for 5 to $125/mo. for 6 if the oldest is home from college) great off to the stores. If the total is higher than what I want to spend, then I start taking items off the list.
Wow! Only $100-$125 per month?!? That's amazing, way to go! We did pay off the rest of our debt in September! Yes, I like Ibotta, I just don't get near as much from it since I shop mostly at Aldi...
@@KristinStones Congrats about the debt!! That's what I need to tackle next. Thanks. I just calculated my final 2018 numbers and it was approximately $122 a month!! Hey if you want to check this out; I have an Aldi price list that I use to calculate my total before I head to the stores (www.simplegrocerydeals.com/aldi-price-list/ ). I'm sure you've been behind someone checking out that seems to be surprised by their total!
Before we retired we sold the house pd off all our debt downsized moved to a smaller home we use a budget & cash only were always are looking for creative ways to save! Thanks for sharing.
Did you end up making this video with your cell phone? I shop at a discount grocer. We had Aldi in Minnesota, but not here in Arizona. I miss Aldi. (from Grandma Bunny in Phoenix).
Her chief way in cutting her budget was to cut the overspending she did, before seeing the light. WHAT happens to people who never wasted the little money they ever had in these spendthrift ways??
There are many ways. Using rebate apps properly. Buying in quantity and portioning out and freezing. Eat healthier, make meals from scratch and stop buying processed food. Cook 2 times the meal and freeze one. Check your freezer, refrigerator and pantry to make sure that you don't buy something that you already have. Reorganize your freezer, refrigerator and pantry so that you know what you have and you can see everything. This also prevents things in the refrigerator from getting shoved to the back forgotten, then food that spoils. There are several great CZcams channels on here, like this one, that will give you many ideas. It has helped me tremendously. Good luck to you and God bless.

Most of those supplies we purchase in bulk at Sam's Club so they cost us a lot more at the time but we purchase them less often. We put a little bit in a cash envelope each payday to save for when we have to go grab those items at Sam's. Maybe just put a few extra dollars aside each pay so you can prepare for those extras?

Kristin Stones have you checked into Butcher Box? I wanted to look at the prices and stuff for that, but haven’t done it yet.
@KimArnett no i have not looked into that at all. I’ve just been shopping locally and keeping an eye out for sales...

If shopping in the large supermarkets take time to look high and low. The cheapest items are usually hidden out of eye level. You can save a fortune if you take the time to really scan every product available.
I agree! That's partly why I shop at Aldi, bc it takes me wayyy too long to shop in a regular-sized grocery store with all those options 😆
Oooh! That is awesome advice. I had never noticed that
i really feel that i can have a breaktrough, using your tips, thanks a lot.

Yessss! I love Walmart Grocery pickup! We didn’t have it in our area when this video was filmed but I agree with you!
Kristin Stones only thing I don’t like it you can’t use coupons 😞
It helps with impulse buying to use pick-up, but I think the groceries are a little more expensive for pickups.
Kristen Fox ugh yes and both Ibotta and the Walmart savings catcher don’t accept e-receipts 🙄
