I haven't seen too many DIY "boosted boards" but this is by far the best concept I've seen so far. 🤓
hey man. thanks for the little informationals like explaining KV, Belts and it's commons uses, even Ratios and torque. very in depth. ty
You sir, are an amazing engineer. Very informative fun video. Great job!
Awesome video bud! Love your stuff.
Look forward to seeing how the rest of this project turns out.
Absolute craftsman. Great work
very nice build. the parts look great, its hard to believe its homemade
It is a great video.. ful of Information.. Probably one of the best video on the subject here on YT .. precise .. clear and full of value for the viewer.
Great video dude! It's awesome to have high quality videos on how to make these amazing vehicles!
this video is ridiculously nice to watch, congrats for the brilliant job!
thanks dude. I've been reading so much about making these boards but it's really hard to understand all the components. I finally started to understand thanks to your videos
I can't wait to see it finished! Hopefully I can make my own in some day. great video!
Great engineering and tutorial
You did a super great job. Don't change anything it was perfect. Stay confident and keep uploading.
Loved it ... simple. and practical.
Honest this is a true diy project and I really appreciate you bro.
You have potential for greatness man. Stick with this and there's no limit for what you can achieve
very impressive, ive been loving the content lately dont worry that its not a weapon. I also wanted to say thanks, you and your channel have been a big inspiration to get me off my ass and start making videos and now im at 146 subs :)
thank you very much for this video. it was very helpful. good job, man. keep posting videos with longboard updates
You have a bright future ahead of you young man!
youtube is going to kill it
Yup. For sure.
gay
What a job dude!! Congrats man!!
you are a true design and production engineer
Really fantastic video, great Scott inspired me too! And so have you 👌🏿
You, sir, are a young marvel! I recently had to sell my brand new Arbor longboard due to a chronic, reoccuring injury :( super sad. I've seen motorized longboards priced at insane rates ($1000+ USD). However, your video gives me hope that one day, I might make my own motorized long board and return to doing something I LOVED to do. Thank you for this video!!
Nice build can't wait to see electronics portion I am modding a electric board myself it was a 12v board from Walmart made by Altered got it for 100 bucks hoping it will save me from having to buy so much stuff online and from using press and all that as I don't have the shop access at the moment so for anyone discouraged bc of lack of tools this is a good option as u can pick and choose whatever u want to use from it.
Congratulations for your awesome job and thank you for sharing it with us. Greetings from Brasil :)
I enjoyed this! Continue the hard work you are doing here! I must subscribe to your channel! 👌
you guys are the future, keep it up!
You have a bright future ahead of you! And your filming has improved so much, great stuff keep it up
when do you think you will come out with the upgrade video? I am interested on the bike chain upgrade. I think it is a very good upgrade for a longer lasting Skate board.
waaaw dude soooo clean !
props to u, u know what ur doing
Cant wait for part 2
this is so sick, keep it up man
I'm proud of you dude. I remember when you had like 50 subscribers and hadn't even hit puberty yet making awesome videos and now you're on your way to a great channel.
For a person your age (very young) to make something like this. It's amazing. Good work kid, I'm impressed!!
your very creative and thats great to see. You could make the board , plying kevlar andyout plastic that you melt!
this is a dope project
Nice!! Love it!!!
awesome video, you said you went through alot of belts and wondered if a chain would do your build more justice :)
cant wait to see what you upgraded on
Great Job
Good idea to be switching to orangatang kegels! Try upgrading to a vesc instead of a regular hobby king esc. You can program the vesc really easy and works really good with your gt2b controller. If you have any questions, feel free to ask
I have a vesc on the way at the moment! My hobbyking esc has already broken!
+TAOW hahaha i was sure about it when i saw u were going to use it on the longboard deck. These things always break, i've read hundreds of story's on the esk8 forum, my parts just came in for my eboard!
it may be a bit pricy. but look into castle. they make awesome motor/escs. i run them in all of my rc trucks.
+Snakeprophet its a longboard, not a rc car. there is no esc that is beter dan vesc
the chinese are already copying these VESC lol... where do i buy the original VESC?
You are super! Great job brother! We are very impressed.
Keep it up and design your own board for sale!
Good luck to you and have a great day!
By far the best tutorial I've seen so far. I actually converted a regular scooter into an electric scooter which was quite a challenge as there were no standard parts and had to design my own bracket. Might do a video about it on my other channel as I am doing some work on it at the moment. I had problems with the belt slipping so need to create a bracket that allows me to tighten the belt more easily. Do the tension-adjusting screws come loose?
this is cool, zna is doing a motorized board too. but in a different way. pretty cool to see
love it man
have you concidered using the 80 mm kegal wheels and making your board a drop threw to increase speed/confort and slightly lower ride hight
I just pulled a drill apart, would that motor work?
Just a little tip when working with aluminium make sure you chalk your files because soft metals (aluminium) tends to clog your files
@TAOW could u make some sort of housing/ casing for the batteries and motor
great video
great video, keep it up)
is it possible that you could use 2 of thos motors? i just wanted to see if it was possible to do it for the extra torque and speed.
How much do you weigh? I'm curious if I would need to up the motor power or not.
What is the size of the pulleys
this guys going places :D
Great video TAOW! I wish I had the resources that you had so I could make the things you show. I guess with the forging a twelve year old and molten metal wouldn't have gone that well together...
nice job
NICE VIDEO
I have a 930kv motor brushless its the pyro 600 09 , you think that can work ?
ty
if you were planning on using a chain, i would recommend the type used on mini motos and mobility scooters and not bicycle chains, they are smaller but designed to be used on motors
Hey, Great Work
What would be the minimum torque of the motor required for the job?
would it drive any better if you had a motor on both rear wheels? and do you have any sort of braking system in the works?
very cool!
Hi TAOW, I've just orded stuff to build my own. I found some nice timing pullys on the accu group website for similar prices to ebay but they do a variatiy of belt widths and tooth pitch. Might be worth checking out. Do you know if I can charge the lipo through a BMS without disconecting the lipo from the ESC? Thanks and keep up the good videos!
How do you figure out the driving gears? how do you do the calculations?
Hey dude, great work first of all! Secondly, when drilling aluminum, 'peck' at it. Just make little bites so that your chips can clear. Also, get a bottle of general purpose oil and dab a little on now and again. It'll keep your drill bits sharper, longer, and will help keep things cooler and cutting better. Aluminum is soft and gooey (in terms of a metal), and blocks up the cutting heads of drill bits and other cutting tools. Hope it helps. Keep creating! :D
How long can you drive before the belt breaks?
dude great job! ive been making a electric bike on my channel. but this is really cool! I had an idea for you, in stead of using raps you could make a perfect circle out of a 2×4 and epoxy some sand paper so it would be a lot easier for you.
great video you explained things so well i could probably make one myself using the tools from my university labs if I actually took the time and decided to spend money on this project
Hi TAOW I'm building my own e board with the same drive pulley as you. What bolts did you use to secure it onto the wheel?
Do you use some special aluminium like 7075?
Good job bud
Is the Alien 5065 Sensored Outrunner brushless motor Better than yours?
What length belt did you use? Great idea btw!
Can't wait for you next video on the upgraded board! When do you think you'll get that video put together?!
Can you please link a similar aluminum plate on ebay? i can not find anything that cheap
which demensions is it on the pullys
i just bought the same motor, and it turns out it didn't have any bolt holes in the 8mm motor shaft. did you made them to prevent small pulley from rotating? or you did anything else?
This has to be my favorite project of yours. Because you are looking for improvement I might suggest concealing the electronics better. Maybe premanently attach the wires. Of course that is unless you've already done it. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the next video and you are doing an amazing work!
What size pulleys did you buy?
It is the same if you use an engine like yours but of Sk3 4250 350kv
instead of one of SK3 - 6374-192kv ???? will it work??
Could u tell me the dimensions for the aluminum clamp
What did you get in your GCSEs?
what tools do i need for this project
there was no link for making the board in the description
So is the motor NOT connected to the actual board? Is it just connected to the motor mount?
what size wheels do you use?
hey TAOW, I want to make the skateboard but i cant make an aluminium motor mount. could I make one out of HDPE? or plywood? please answer fast since I wanna make it before school starts :)
you deserve more subscribers
Part 2 mate i want it 😱
How much did all of it cost? Excluding the board itself.
awesome
How cost efficient is this?
Sooo good
U deserve millions of subs
Could you use a foot pedal?
how fast does it go
hi how much it cost you and 25 km is actual speed
I have a motor that can handle 80 Amps Max.. And I want 3 battery's in series ''3S 5200mah 10C-rating'' Are they compatible?
Because 5,2A x 10C = 156 amps.. and that's way more than 80 amps that the motor supports.
Or does only the volt matter?
how much cost total to make it?
pls give me the link og timing pulleys
