Just wanted to tell you I am doing the low carb for 6 weeks now and have lost 14 pounds and my blood fasting sugar went from 111 to 103. I was so excited. I started watching all your videos and came across this one in particular. I was in tears to see everything you beautiful girls tried. You are truly amazing to watch. I love the chaffles. You just make it easier to keep us going on and not failing. I think I was at a point where I just wanted to look and feel better for myself as well as my husband. I am 74 and am not going to get many more chances to try but I believe this time it will happen. Please keep making your videos as you are both a joy to watch and listen too.
Not a beginner but I love your videos. The basics, Whole Foods, avoid those keto products and replacement recipes, skip the fat bombs and added fats, keep it simple. Eat only when hungry and stop when starting to feel full. Love you both. You are so beautiful!!

I just want to tell you that this video is the most simplified and perfect way to explain what keto is for those of us who are tired of watching videos with complicated math and a list of forbidden foods.
While I am definitely not strict keto I do not eat gluten or sugar.
I have realized lately that I have been allowing rice to sneak its way back into my meals and the weekend comes on very quickly which shows how sensitive I am. Thank you for this!!!

I am NOT a first time or beginner keto dieter, but I wanted say that this video is very informative for the first timer! You guys summarized a lot of good info people can effectively use to begin their journey. Your points about fruit are spot on. To be successful on the Keto diet, many people have to UNLEARN some notions of past diets. Also, the first month is critical to reset your pallet, so try to avoid keto sweets as much as possible. Anything sweet can derail you... so it’s best to ease into it further into your journey. Keep up the great work, ladies!

Greetings from Canada. This was an excellent video for keto beginners. I started 2 weeks ago, but have not entered ketosis and I was just scratching my head as to what I was doing wrong. Guess what, I've been eating an apple and a peach per day everyday and every morning when I check for ketones the keto stick is not turning pink. Thank you for explaining in simple terms what ketosis is and why fruits should be avoided. Now I know what I was doing wrong. Gosh, I feel like a complete idiot :)

Been on keto since September & have lost 65 lbs and lots of inches. I am diabetic and my a1c down from 6.8 to 6.4. Do a lot of fasting.

Recipe you and your husbands might like. (Taco chili)= 1 large can original flavor or mild,or hot. Ron-tel tomatoes,,in soup pan,add 1/2 stick butter,one lb. cook hamburger meat,seasoned with one pkg. taco seasoning. All all ingredients in soup pan (after hamburger is cooked). Add 2-3 cups water. Simmer on medium heat about 20-30 minutes,stirring well.
I saw your little cheese bites where you put a pickle in it then put in oven ,you could use that same recipe and add jalapeño slices (pickled) to make chips to eat with taco chili. Anyway, when chili is ready put in sharp or fiesta cheese,or cheddar on top of bowl of chili. Taste like your eating something you shouldn’t. Your husbands will love it too.

I am so glad you all popped up in my algorythm. I do a low carb lifestyle. Not so much Keto because I didn't have a weight issue. However I wanted to lower my blood glucose and A1C. Because of doing this I did end up losing 17 lbs and brought down my glucose and A1C. YAY!!!!! I am trying to get my husband on board any tips? Thanks for your channel and recipes.
Just keep going and hopefully he will want to follow in your footsteps. You can’t really force people to change unless they want to. 🤗

I am not on Keto , but the more I watch you guys the more I think I want to try it. I have 17 lbs. To lose.. I have been doing IF for a little over a week and I think keto would be another habit to add to help my health. :)

So everyone kept telling me to up the fat, and today I consumed exactly 17 net carbs, 83 g of fat, and 90 g of protein.... will you guys pls reply to my comment and help me understand if that’s sounds right or if I need to lower my fat intake?
Hi! We never paid attention to macros to lose the weight, we only went with how we feel. Up the fat if you are feeling hungry only. (Like if you aren’t satisfied after you eat) You need to do what feels the best for your hunger. Hope this helps! -Emily
Hi ladies! I have a follow up question regarding our OMAD Chat.... I realize you don’t count calories or track your meals. I don’t really anymore either but if you had to give your BEST GUESSTIMATE of how many calories you get in your one meal a day, what would it be? Do you think it matters if you undereat? See I feel that I could easily be satisfied with maybe 1000 calorie meal or even a bit less. I’m just concerned my metabolism will take a hit doing that constantly. Which is why I’ve been eating more than that on the weekends. What are your thoughts on this???? Thanks in advance! ♥️
My best guess is 1200 or so. If we are satisfied then no, we don’t care about under eating because that equals weight loss, we still have weight to lose. I’m not a doctor so I don’t know about how much a metabolism slows with constant calorie restriction but my metabolism couldn’t be worse than it is already 🤣. It’s all about how we feel, if we need to eat more we do. If we can get by with less or throwing in a 24/48/ 72 hour fast we will do that too. It’s really fluid with us. Sorry that we can’t be of more help! Everyone is different and might require different things. All you can do is keep trying different things to see what works best for you, and be willing to change it up constantly until it works and you are happy with how much you eat. -Em
@@ketotwins I deal with easy fluid changes as well. One night of less sleep will equal a 2 lb gain in water weight for me. Dairy does the same. It’s all a matter of balance. I still have weight to lose too. About 15 lbs at least an am like 35% body fat now. So PLENTY food on me to go around 😂. .... thanks! I was just curious what your thoughts were. A lot of times when I think of the whole “tracking” thing I realize that is a fairly new concept to human beings. We never tracked before. We ate til we were satisfied and then done til we were hungry again. I hate it’s become sooooooo detailed and controlled sometimes. But people were also not carb addicts back then either so new twists and turns as times change!
I get very confused about electrolytes . .everyone says you will need them to prevent keto flu in the first several weeks. But do you need them forever? I am about 5 months in and only add some Redmond real Salt and lemon juice to one of my bottles of water a day. And recently started a magnesium supplement in the evening...so is that enough? It all gets so confusing!

Can anyone explain non-fat yogurt for net carbs? Siggi yogurt with 16g total carbs, 0g fiber so does this mean it’s NO BUENO?? Net carbs per this video would be 16g, the daily intake per video is no more than 20g.
Is 20g daily the threshold for men as well? What about one’s height and metabolism??
Some people can eat more carbs and stay in ketosis, we only know what works for us

You can only lose weight so many times and afyer a while some of it will not come off, it's like your body gets tirrd of playing the same weight lose games.
When your body gets to the weight you should be, it’ll slow down the loss
Do you have a video about water weight everyone’s always saying well you lost 10 pounds it was all water weight, and in this video you said that when you lose water you need to take electrolytes. How is it that we’re losing water weight when we’re just not eating so many carbs!?!? Please Splaine!!! Lol

We eat fried food occasionally and lose weight! 🤗
Don’t fry in regular flour and you can also fry without any.
