Totally relate-bassy sounds have a similar effect on me, too. Since you're also dealing with tinnitus wearing earplugs is not an option. Blocking external noise makes the ringing more pronounced. Trying to sleep with a whine at full pitch is not fun! :)
I was actually thinking about training text-to-speech models in place of brown noise but targeting a similar frequency range. It would create that soothing rumbling sound but with words and pronunciations.
I don't think that's how you're supposed to use Bryan Johnson's olive oil, Jon.

@@theunscheduledceo my wife and I met when we were teenagers. Now very happliy married with 2 young kids, a small eccom store and approaching 40. Retreats for ppl who want to some fun is a great idea.
Tried brown noise, did not work. My sweetspot is an episode of a podcast or TV show that I enjoyed but happy to not hear the end to. New episode, I need to hear the end, boring story my drifts and I stop listening.
Sleep stories BUT classic tv shows without the ads, intro, or laugh track in a huge playlist that is synced with your Whoop to note but not pause when you fell asleep so you can skip back to that point the next night

Genuine question how the f are you getting a sleep score in the 90s with a kid!
Fan of the podcast but this was a really tough listen. Between all the interrupting, the unfunny jokes, and maybe just this guy seemingly being burnt out at the end of his workday, was pretty hard to sit through this guest.
i had a blast. curious if others hated this one.

Jonathan here :) I totally get what you mean, but I hope there were still one or two tiny useful nuggets. About the me being burnt out at the end of the day thing: to be honest I think it's more that I was nervous about coming on the podcast and wanting to do a good job. Damn itttt
