    I’d love to see a comparison of Elvie Stride, freemie with slim cups, and Medela hands free.

  • @MadhuriGuptawhousesthisanyway

    The insert info and the compatibility info is very useful ! Thank you for this video. I am expecting in the beginning of April and have to make up my mind on what breast pump I need to order through my insurance and this one is the top contender.

    I am interested in trying this kind of hands free breast cups since I already tried elvie and willow. I love the original free style flex with flanges-perfect suction strength and empties great. Elvie had ok suction but wouldn't empty right. Willow had crazy suctioning almost felt like my nipples were being ripped off on the lowest setting.

    I love my Swing Maxi Medela, so i would like to know the diferents between Swing Maxi and this new one, and if i can replace the cups of swing with the news cups... i think that can be possible...

    I currently own Elvie original pump and was wondering if you know the differences with their performance. I had hard time getting the suction going with the Elvie and I think it’s because I didn’t get the inserts. Is it the same with Medela wearable? Without the inserts is it tricky to get the suction going?
    Your video was very informative and answered many of my questions. I think i will get the wearable and get some original parts and use both. Thanks so much for your review! Your video was the only one that had the answers to my questions.

    These look neat! I just can’t trust Medela after my Pump in Style with MaxFlow was such a fail. I got it for free through insurance last year, and I regret it and wish I’d went with something else! The suction worked fine for about 3 months before one side totally stopped working. I’ve replaced everything, tubing, flanges, connectors and membranes too. Medela won’t assist me either and they keep telling me to replace the parts again. :/ To me, the issue seems like the membrane won’t stay flush against the connector when it shuts. This seem like a manufacturer defect. I put the Lansinoh Smart Pump 2.0 on my registry. I love my Lansinoh hand pump.

    How do the Pumping pretty inserts work with the cups?

  • @karlamarie00
    @karlamarie00 Před rokem

    Do the wearable cups pump the same as the previous flex version flanges and bottles? I’m trying to decide whether to get the Medela freestyle wearable pump or the older Medela Freestyle Flex with flange and bottles. If the output is the same, then I’d rather go with the wearable cups. I already have the Elvie and that pump didn’t empty me as well so I’m nervous about wearable cups.

    I’m due in June and torn between this, pumpables genie with legendairy cups, and the willow go (I have a spectra from my first). I love how easy these cups are to clean and they seem comfortable and great output, but the availability of replacement parts is a big concern if I have to exclusively pump.

    Hi! I am due in May and plan to go back to work around 4 to 6 mo postpardum. My insurance offers the hands free for $230. Would you use this as your main pump for work and buy flanges for home. Or would you get the spectra 1 ($75 w/ insurance) and pay for Pumpables Genie Advanced out of pocket at a slightly higher cost. Oh we have a Mothers Room at work so I will pump in private.

    I'm a first-time mom due next month. I was debating between BB or the Freestyle Flex. Then I saw this. My question is if I got this wearable version, what are the exact parts that I'd need to get to use this pump just like the Freestyle Flex so I can have both options? P.S. dying to see a video for the new BB.

    • @charitywooten2135
      @charitywooten2135 Před rokem

      You just need to get the Flex tubing, the connectors and then your flange sizing.

  • @MadhuriGuptawhousesthisanyway

    If I am buying a new pump and I buy this setup , given that the cups perform as well as the flanges, is there a reason still to get additional flanges and tubing ?

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  Před rokem +1

      I think cups are always a risk for ineffective emptying, it’s not all about the suction performance. Depends on how much you’ll be pumping really. For occasional or non-essential pumping, this would likely be fine. We don’t have a lot of users yet though!

    Any idea if these are strong enough to use as an exclusive pump? Or think they’re relatively “weak” vs plug in pumps?

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  Před rokem +1

      It’s too soon to tell on this new pump, but in general portable pumps and/or wearable cups are generally not ideal as a primary pump for heavy use. I’d image this pump and set up would be no different there.

    Great info! Questions:
    If the pump motor seems better, why do you think they are selling it for a lower price than the Freestyle Flex?
    They've taken the name "flex" out of the title so I was wondering if the pump motor was lesser quality and similar to the original freestyle (before the freestyle flex)

    • @NewLittleLife

    Just found out that my insurance covers a breast pump with no price limit. I want a wearable this time as I’ll have a 3 year old and will be working. Would this be a good option or what would be the best wearable pump for someone who over produced with their first if money were no option?

    • @amandalovesmusic
      @amandalovesmusic Před rokem

      I’d be careful assuming you’ll over produce this time too. My first I over produced because she was a NICU baby and I had sooooooo much milk saved up I literally had to give more than 300 oz away before it expired in my freezer. Second baby, I never pumped until I went back to work and struggled to keep up with his needs. It really depends on how much you pump / how good your pump is. This time (baby #3) I plan to start pumping right away

      I think the one has a more standard feel in the suction than the elvie style. Unless you were looking for a really gentle option, I would personally lean this way. Interested to see what Jessica @genuinelactation thinks!
