I was a huge fan of Mr. Kennedy because he was great on the mic, good in the ring and had the charisma to captivate the audience. And at the time, he was a much needed breath of fresh air. I always hoped with his push he'd get to be a world champion. Such a shame Cena and Orton felt threatened by Kennedy and they used politics to get him fired after the back drop on Orton in that 8 man tag match. His run in TNA proved he was a main event star that could carry a company. One of the biggest missed opportunities in WWE history.

Cena and Orton were #1&2 and they saw that Kennedy was a threat! They didn’t view Edge as a legit threat, but saw that Vince liked Kennedy. They both used their stroke to cut Ken’s legs out from under him and that was that. WWE is a shark tank and the sharks were swimming around Kennedy

Only no..... He was a self admitted "egotiscal asshole who thought he was bigger and more important than he was" when he was in the WWF, he's said that over and over and over in interviews over the last several years, Personally I'd like to see him have another run in the WWE, I think they should have a traditional Survivor series match where Orton is the Captain and he brings in "Friends and Foes from the past" and the 4 other guys being Kofi, who is his real life brother-in-law, Cena, Zach Ryder and Kennedy.

The story I remember hearing was that he was rough on Randy Orton that match and that was the catalyst for his dismissal.
Truth is, it was MOST likely the fact that Kennedy at the time, was so green it was scary.
For perspective, he started wrestling at age 23, had 21 TOTAL matches in 6 years and BAM he was in WWE.
6 years, 21 matches and he was in WWE.
His attitude at the time was pretty arrogant because he fast tracked to WWE and his head was full of ego.
YOUR head would be full of ego too!
Only a few people know the truth really but I heard that actual match ended up being the straw that broke the camel's back because Randy was the future at the time and Kennedy was simply being slack with many performers and Randy's voice was the ONLY one that had BASE to it.
Truth of it all is, Kennedy really ate the crow on his actions after leaving and I feel his downward spiral ended up teaching him a lesson.
he did pretty darn good in TNA. Sure its never the kind of money WWE offers, BUT WWE offers 0 freedom so, i guess its a matter on whether its all about the money or the control.
MOST , if not all performers release their control to sign with WWE.
Like Kurt Angle, i think kennedy did better outside WWE and making money is not always the prime factor, but it always is a motivator

Kennedy massively didn't get screwed over in the WWE. If anything he was massively overpushed. Below average in the ring, below average look and usually quite boring. The saying his twice thing was fun but that was all he had, the rest of his mic work was tedious rambling nonsense. Especially the way he delivered it with a weirdly permanently bobbing head. His fans were very bizarre as well, you'd constantly hear from them about how ll the WWE should revolve around him but he never did anything that remotely deserved that level of booking.
