This is just one of several reasons why the 80's -90's were a wonderful time to be a teenager. Hidden or as the kids today call them "Easter Eggs" were what made gaming so special back then. Whether its counting Bald Bulls charge...waiting for the camera flash, jumping on a turtle coming down steps or frantically pressing a series of buttons at any given time...those were the days.
Mortal Kombat 2 was the game that retired me from games. Some 10 year old at the arcade knew everything about the game on the day it came out and crushed me in seconds. This was before the internet, so IDK how he even learned everything by noon.

It's crazy how those graphics look now at 40 years old it was fire ass hell when it 1st came out now it looks like something from the 70s compared to games now
On the original arcade unit early on there was a fatality called “doo doo brown” with baraka where the blood looked like shit during a fatality. Ive never seen it since but it was definitely in the arcade version.

Probe didn't create MK2, they created ports of MK2 for numerous platforms. Midway was the one that created the original arcades.
