Yeah, I remember when his son died in an airplane Crash Dean Martin. He never really got over it . I remember I was still teenager when that happened. It was all over the news. And what I liked about this cemetery. It's not so big I walk the grounds there that only took me 20 minutes. That's how small I found it to be but beautiful And the guy from the playboy mansion. He had his reserve right next to Marilyn Monroe. Jack lemon is also The Walter Matthew Michael Douglass's son. Eric Douglas is also there. There's so many in the beautiful cemetery. And like I said, it was not a big cemetery. That's what I'd liked about it. May thy all rest in eternal peace. R.i.p.🙏🙏🙏🙏

What turned Dean's health south, was when his son died in an air plane crash with the Air National Guard in 1989.
His son died in 1987 Not!, 1989

@@danbo99 No Dean Paul died when his jet slammed into a mountain in March 1987. Dean's health was already failing him due to a lifelong chain smoker. His son's passing sent him into a downward spiral healthwise.
My grandfather and Dean died within hours of each other. It was a sad Christmas. My dad was a night club singer and he sang for special venues when he could. He used to sing for a venue he got regularly. One occasion the piano player didn’t show up, to my dad’s surprise, Dean Martin offered to play for my dad. “ I heard this kid sing before, I like him so I’ll play for him.” It my dad favorite experience and memory. Tells us all that the time. He 92. Dean is a good man and he must be with his Patriot son. God Bless them both 💟✝️🇺🇸
Still listen his song nearly every day I got lot in comun with Dean. We both Italian

I had no idea he was of Italian origin but now I know why he was so good looking. 🙂 I hope one day I also get to see Westwood Village Cemetery and see the resting places of my favorite stars there.. He has some tragedy's like everybody can have in his own life.
He was one of the greatest entertainer and actor!
And what makes me also proud is the fact that Dean's Family has origins from Italy in a lill town near my town, only about 20km distance.

Yes, I remember Dean's "Dino's Restaurant. We always watched. The T.V. Show "77 Sunset Strip."❤and we Loved it ! And Dean Martin's Restaurant was tight next door.

You really have a way with making videos, I think I have watched every one of your videos, dean martin and Jerry Lewis wasted a lot of precious time not talking to each other for years, his son was married to actress Olivia hussey and it was her that got them back together to resume the friendship. The two waisted a lot of years not talking over something very stupid, but like Richard Burton you have done justice for Mr. Martin and focused on the man and not the drinking issue, dean martin never got over the death of his son and he mourned that loss till the day he died. Great job you did this video and put a kind and caring man with the human factor to the man Mr. Martin was
Dean Martin was not a big drinker at all. It was all an act. If you read the book his daughter: Memories Are Made of This: Dean Martin... by Deana Martin, you'll read that he was actually home every night for dinner. He went to bed early because he golfed every morning. She said he would be up by 6:30 every morning, have toast and coffee and be off for golf. He never liked when Frank Sinatra wanted to stay up all night and drink. There is a funny part in the book as she describes his wife Jeanne LOVING to have parties. He would be upstairs trying to sleep..so one night he called the police and they came by! LOL. The book was at my local library maybe its at yours too. Thanks for listening....😉💜🙏

I have a funny LA story, maybe not so… I was to meet a high school friend who was a personal trainer and walked their dogs “celebrity” couple.I went down the wrong street as my rental didn’t have navigation. I pulled over called him and as he asked what street I looked up and this teenager was running towards my car screaming F… y… had a squirt gun. At any rate, it was Ozzie Osborne’s son Jack. I wasn’t parked near any driveways or mailboxes. I ignored him as the car got a wash and he kept yelling louder I pretended he wasn’t there. I got called a certain name for this, but Jack washed my rental. For free. lmao hope you don’t run into anything like I did LT.
