I don't think a preacher has the authority or knowledge to say that someone who can't remember the actual date of his salvation is not actually saved. Plenty of people slowly move into the Christian faith, perhaps being nurtured from birth, and can't actually remember the precise moment when actual saving faith was exercised. In fact, I'm one of them. It's more important to simply know you understand and believe the gospel.

The key is this: BORN AGAIN! I never heard this in Methodist church but was 'confirmed' as a member at age 10. Did not attend at all between age 17-31. At my lowest point I 'called out to JESUS to "come get me" ' while looking (not opening) at Gideon Bible on nightstand in my hotel room. Immediately I sensed all weight of my sins lifted off, a deep sense of peace never known. Went back to church, 2 weeks later mentor confirmed as he shared the Gospel that I was now BORN AGAIN & Sealed with the HOLY SPIRIT!!! Solely by God's grace saved. Every day now that I have life I am reminded of what a wretch I really am.

Justin Peters is a lying minister for the devil since his wicked soul is twisting verses of scripture to justify why he has cerebral palsy. He has stated that his disability is a blessing from God and that certainly is a lie since there are no such scriptures that ever relate that nonsense. Every sickness or disability is a curse from God and all you need to do is read Deuteronomy 28:58-61 to prove as much.
“If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE Lord YOUR GOD, then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues-great and prolonged plagues-and serious and prolonged sicknesses. Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. ALSO EVERY SICKNESS AND EVERY PLAGUE, WHICH IS NOT WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK OF THE LAW, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed.”
      ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:58-61‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Scripture relates how God never changes but yet the majority of believers overlook what God related to us about sickness and plagues in Deuteronomy 28. Realize that this evil world is ruled by the devil and God promised to protect us from the devil’s afflictions if we chose to obey and follow His commands and live a righteous life. So any lost soul that believes in the nonsense that Justin Peters is relating is certainly proving how they are completely ignorant and deceive and they clearly possess very little scripture knowledge since God has never used anyone who has a disability as His messenger. Why? Because anyone who possesses a sickness or a disability is definitely a sinner who is disobeying God and His commands and that person clearly has no idea what scripture is even relating.
Now this wicked man has stated that you can only hear God by reading scripture and that you cannot actually hear the voice of God and that is another lie. He likes to claim that if you desire to have God speak to you audibly then read the Bible out loud and with that statement he clearly proves that he does not possess the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This wicked man has also stated that the miraculous gifts of the Spirit have ceased with the apostles.
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭14:12-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This wicked man has even stated that he does not believe that Matthias was an apostle and that the other apostles “jumped the gun” as he so claims.
“And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.” And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.”
      ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:24-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Lastly, this wicked man has stated that just because someone teaches something that is false does not make that person a false teacher. Oh really, then what does it make them then? ‬
“These people are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity-for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”
      ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2:17-19‬ ‭NIV‬‬
There are over 2000 different bible versions that all have different translations, words and different meanings and a lot of these bible versions are leading many souls astray. If you watch Justin Peter’s visit to Charis Bible College video you will see him reference the NASB1995 version of Exodus 4:11-12 to justify his cerebral palsy since he is insinuating that God is the one who is giving people sickness and disabilities.
“The LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?”
      ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
So if you read this version of the Bible, yes it does state that God makes human beings blind, deaf or mute. But know I want to give you another Bible version and show you how it reads:
“So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?
      Exodus‬ ‭4:11 NKJV‬‬
When you read this version it is not stating that God made them mute, deaf or blind but that God made the individual, whether they were someone who was deaf, mute or blind. God is not saying that He inflicted the disability on them. God loves you and He wants you to be healthy for He is the God who heals you. So why would a loving God who loves you and heals you desire to make you sick?
Sin and sickness are strictly of the devil and sickness reveals that we are disobeying God and living in sin. God made it very clear that He would remove sickness and disease from anyone who did not sin and who would obey what He commanded in scripture. This is why the devil can no longer put his afflictions on anyone who is truly born of God because they are now someone who can no longer sin since they are now being guided by God’s Holy Spirit.
“And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”
      ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
      ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭23:25-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”
      ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV
“HE WHO SINS IS OF THE DEVIL, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. WHOEVER HAS BEEN BORN OF GOD DOES NOT SIN, for His seed remains in him; AND HE CANNOT SIN, because he has been born of God.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
So scripture clearly relates that anyone who sins belongs to the devil and whoever is born of God does not sin and cannot sin. There are no scriptures that ever relate that a sinner belongs to God or that a sinner is a child of God! There are no scriptures that ever relate that a believer will always sin or that a believer can never stop sinning! There are no scriptures that ever relate that sickness would be a normal part of this life or that a Christian will possess sickness in their life! You can look all that you like but you certainly will not find any such scripture to back up those lies. God commanded us to live a Holy and righteous life and this can only be achieved by being someone who overcomes their sins.
Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”
Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness.
Believers who are suffering with a sickness, a disease or a disability certainly are not comprehending what scripture is relating and this is why they have allowed sin and the devil to destroy their lives. This is why Justin Peters is nothing more then a minister for the devil and he is leading people astray with his false and misguided interpretations of scripture in order to justify why his wicked soul possesses cerebral palsy.

I love reading the comments. Satan has so many workers who jump onto videos like this in order to try to cast seeds of doubt and create disorder. When the negative comments, sprinkled with bits of scripture, appear because someone who is approved by God (imho) speaks truth, it makes the devil crazy! Salvation is an amazing study and as Justin said, be a Berean and do the work yourself, taking the Word of God in context.

You are not saved via sin management. If you need to "repent" to be saved then how much is enough? No one has stopped sinning. And it's the sins that the other guy does that are the bad ones, right? In Greek, repent means a change of mind. From unbelief to belief. Keep your eyes on the Savior and not the sinner.

    • @leighastjohn8612
      @leighastjohn8612 Před 9 měsíci +3

Amen, praise God! I agree! Repentance has been turned into the act of turning from or stopping your sins. The church teaches this heresy! Repentance is a change of mind about the fact that not only are you a sinner, but a helpless one, and therefore rest your faith in the finished work of Christ. We can repent or change our minds about a lot of things, but it is the message of the gospel that saves us when we BELIEVE it. It is what Christ did for me 2000 years ago that saved me and I only believed (trusted).

Amen, dear Pastor Justin, you are so right about women NOT being pastors, elders, or even deacons! I know of some churches who have women who "serve" called deaconesses, when the scripture plainly says that a deacon, just as a pastor, should be the HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE! Now, what does that tell us?! LOL, I heard of a little boy saying the wife of an apostle (no apostles today, though) must be an epistle!😊

You are absolutely correct one must seek the scriptures for yourself. Many people think they are Christians but have yet to experience the “conversion”, and thus the “Born Again” moment; a very dangerous place to be indeed!
I thank God for my natural skepticism and not just taking the word of someone else’s understanding of the Bible, but rather my need to seek the Truth for myself!
I had searched for the truth ever since I was a little child. Never approaching religious dogma but rather science and physics in particular. I was a person that needed to understand things in order to believe in them.
Although I was not interested in church nor it’s rituals, being a Catholic by tradition not choice, I did believe in a creator God due to the complexity and organization, and majesty I observed in nature.
In a turn of events in my life I came to the utter realization that “science” was never going to save my soul. It was at this point in my life that I joined a little non-denominational Christian church, walked down its aisle October of 1991 and received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I was prayed over by the pastor and told at that moment I was saved and going to Heaven. Really? That’s it? I didn’t feel any different, my motives, thoughts, and desires were exactly the same as before. Am I suppose to just take this Pastor’s word and trust what he says? I think not!
This is when I decided to dig into the Holy Bible with the same fervor and zeal I had always studied science. I didn’t submit myself to any denominational doctrine or any pastoral authority, but rather bought the King James Bible on CD and decided to listen to it passionately in those wasted hours during rush hour traffic. This was a total of 15 hrs of word a week for over 3 years. My reasoning was if what pastors are using to teach and guide their congregations is the Bible, why not study it on your own? I’m certainly not going to trust my soul to some guy with what I saw as a man made degree in theology; my eternal destiny is way too important for me not to do my homework!
My biblical endeavor allowed me to not only have scores and scores of scriptures memorized, but also entire CHAPTERS memorized verbatim, word for word. I could tell you what is in the Bible, and what is not. I had a tremendous amount of scriptures in my head, yet the true meaning and understanding of them had not yet DOWNLOADED into my heart.
This would soon change one Saturday morning March 25, 1995 while alone at the beach in my car, listening to Hosana integrity Worship music, reading the Bible, and loving God with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength! That day I remember reading to “love your enemies”, something I could never see myself doing; how can you possibly love someone causing you harm? This is something that to me defied all understanding! I remember putting my Bible down and looking up to the sky with my heart simply overwhelmed with love towards God and fantasizing about how beautiful it would be to be just like Jesus!
Suddenly it happened, it really happened, I saw something open within my mind and all that word I had accumulated for years came rushing in, and in that one sweep powerful things took place. First I felt the DEMONS that had lived inside me all my life and I never even knew were there jump out of me with a hideous screech. Second, my eyes were opened to a spiritual realm that is hidden to us in plain sight. And third, my brain processes had skyrocketed to levels I never knew the brain was capable of!
I sat there in my car trembling in fear not knowing what was happening and asking God for help. Of course He obliged by bringing some of those memorized scriptures to the forefront of my mind:
“My son, if thou wilt receive my Words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the FEAR OF THE LORD, and find the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.”
    (Proverbs 2:1-5)
When I picked up the Bible and looked at its pages it was simply unbelievable! The Words had become Holographic, as if they were hovering just above the pages with 3-D like qualities! No contradictions whatsoever! There is no way man wrote this; I thought! The Word’s perfection was staggering! Every parable, every scripture I didn’t quite seem to understand before, was as plain as if reading a children’s book!
“Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my Spirit unto you, I will make known my Words unto you.”
    (Proverbs 1:23)
“All the Words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.”
    (Proverbs 8:8-9)
Everything the Bible speaks about was TRUE, and I was experiencing it first hand!
“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:”
    (Proverbs 2:6-11)
It was also while I was experiencing all this in all its splendor that God revealed to me the True Gospel! It was then I was shocked to realize “Oh my Lord! This means we’re not suppose to sin at all! Once again the fear of the Lord flooded me! I had sinned all my life, I had been told that we are sinners by nature; I was convinced that it is impossible not to sin, but now it was as if I’m going to have to live the rest of my life walking on egg shells! That’s impossible! I thought; There is no way I can do this! The Lord suddenly showed me that no one makes us sin, but rather we CHOOSE to sin. It suddenly dawned on me, you’re right Lord, I know what it’s right, and and know what is wrong, I will just “choose” to do what is right! I don’t have to sin anymore! I was full of excitement and joy ready to start my new life walking in the FAITH of the gospel! I couldn’t help but burst into tears when I realized God had planned this moment from the beginning of time when I read:
“But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.”
    (2 Thessalonians 2:13-15)
People, I have taken the time to write this long post as a testimony of God’s love and faithfulness to those that diligently seek and love Him.
The Bible is “GOD” in written form:
    If A=B , and B=C, then A=C
    A=GOD , B=JESUS, C=WORD
    If GOD=JESUS,
    and JESUS=WORD
    then GOD=WORD
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD.”
    (John 1:1)
But as it turns out the WORD is also the HOLY SPIRIT!
“It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT, and they are life.
    (John 6:63)
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD OF GOD.”
    (Ephesians 6:63)
So the equation is now :
    GOD = WORDSPIRIT or G=WS
When God takes the BEAM out of your eye spoken of by Jesus that hinders you from SEEING CLEARLY and you realize those WORDS are speaking to you once the HOLY SPIRIT enters you, it turns the equation into:
    G = WS^2 (squared)
Now doesn’t science claim that everything is made out of “ENERGY” which they have shown is E=MC^2 (squared), hmm what a strange coincidence.
“By the WORD of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.”
    (Psalms 33:6)
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my WORDS shall not pass away.”
    (Matthew 24:35)
“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my WORDS, hath one that judgeth him: the WORD that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”
    (John 12:48)
HENCE THE IMPORTANCE OF FINDING OUT WHAT THE “WORD” HAS TO SAY!
    God Bless.

@seanrathmakedisciples1508 Our walk is not by sight. We don't rest our faith on signs and wonders. Faith is resting on the word. He believes people can be healed if God desires so. True faith is...Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
      Hebrews:11:1.
The problem is...And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
      2 Peter:2:3
People are healed everyday we just never heard their story. But making a show of it is not what God wants. It's a minor, not a major. I believe Justin has explained why he feels the way he does.

I'm praising God that He gave me a local church that has: 1) a plurality of elders 2) is focused on those already saved 3) that gives expositional preaching of the scripture, and 4) has church discipline included. It took 4 years of hunting and two times of becoming discouraged, but I was guided to it by a pastor on the other side of the country from me. I thought, "Well, I should go try it as this is not something that makes sense - how could a pastor living on the east coast advise me on the west coast?" And yet, it brought me to the above-described church.
A Note for the Ladies: We have an even more intense calling, in my not humble enough opinion. That is the calling to raise children to be godly men and women. That's a HUGE task, and we get to some of these little ones (usually our own kids) before what the pastor or preacher says ever gets to them. So take heart! If you are a woman with teaching skills in the area of the Bible and it's understanding and proper application to real life, with the help of your church elders, seek a spot teaching Sunday School. Remember: He who has the children owns the future.

God has healed me of 3 things. A bad back, instant healing, nothing to do with my faith. Wear and tear in my knee, I prayed every time it hurt a short simple prayer every step I took. Its been healed for 20 years. Bowel problems. It gets healed but I have to be consciously ready to fight in prayer for healing because it keeps trying to come back. I know my scriptures, pray and do not doubt. I spend a lot of time praying that I will have faith and not doubt but it is worth it. Somethings take more prayer than others. I am as certain as I can be that without the strong notion that Jesus can heal and wants to heal my friends and myself would have been dead long ago. Not everyone gets healed. Only Jesus knows why but if scripture says pray and do not doubt I will do everything that I can to pray and not doubt.

Justin, help us a little here. In the Gospels, Jesus and his apostles commanded folk to repent. Likewise Ac 2:38; 17:30 and elsewhere. So, does God grant repentance as a sovereign act that we receive passively? Or Does God grant to us an opportunity to repent, since he certainly was not required to do so. There seems to be a flaw in the logic of Reformed preachers who have declared repentance to be a work that has no merit, yet God commands it, aside from the Law. Help!

You know sometimes I wonder about that. Is that really true about? Remembering a specific date now. If you just recently got saved and you really aware of it. And you remember I can understand that. But it's easy to forget day's date's times the week. All that stuff whatever and you know, so don't feel bad that you forgot. All that when you got saved. The most important thing is that you are saved and God loves you. God bless you and have a great day. And I love this man justin justin peters

Wonderful interview. I have and still do appreciate Pasto Peters's teaching so very much. Love Bible teachers and pastors who teach from the Bible and who teach the TRUTH! It is so sad, that the church my husband attends, has September months as their "God in the movies" month. It is shocking and totally nauseating, for the movies they choose have nothing to do with GOD or HIS attributes and Word. Just like you mentioned, they try to find some good and kind thing the characters do, that is supposed to be a quality that the Bible wants people reflect n their lives. How can a church choose any thing off of the circulation of movies Hollywood puts out there. Hollywood is so demonic and they do not value CHRIST JESUS, our GOD ALMIGHTY, true CREATOR of the Universe. The only good movie that ever depicted as reflected any GODINESS ever, was the Passion of the CHRIST. It is sad to see how churches are turning their backs on GOD. Churches are supposed to teach about Savation, Repentance and a changed life and CHRIST like values. 😢 As for these word-faith, prosperity and name-it-claim-it demonic cults.... They have sorely lost the plot, but sadly taking very many individuals to hell with themselves. We need to pray for these lost souls, for only GOD can change hearts and call people to HIMSELF.
Thank you for sharing your discussion. Praying for you all. May you reach those who need to hear this important discussion.

Justin is a Calvinist, this means he was chosen by God for salvation before the foundations of the earth. Based on that alone Justin was saved when he was born. There need not be a conversion moment in his life. Justin's only obligation is repentance. Saying he "thought he was saved but was not" is not possible, based on Calvinism.

But they (Calvinists) seems to be blind in the truth that "God wants all men to be saved, that grace is a gift one can accept or reject, etc. " May they ponder it over, for the these truths are clearly spelled out in the Bible. To God be all the glory alone. God bless everyone.

It is if everyone she meets are some god/dess until they trip up & then for weeks she 'll repeat how disjointed she is in this person (I almost what to scream at her what have not learned from the Bible that we all are sinners don't put your trust in ppl)
I have many different ppl that I'll follow for a season but but I try to go to the Word & measure according to what it says.
As many-many ppl I got shocked into real life when the truth on some mega churches came out, it woke me up to how easily we can be decieved by others if we do not do our own prayers.
That is how the Roman Catholic reigned for so long. Ppl were illiterate and ppl perished due to lack of knowledge.

Maybe there is a place for guys like Justin, but for me it did not build me up as a Christian, but rather made me angry and critical about others in the faith. I was raised in a conservative Christian home, and I believe that Christ is God, that he was born of a virgin, that he is sinless, that he died on the cross paying the wrath of God in full with his death, and that he rose again. I'm afraid of the thought of going to hell. How can I know if I am a true born again Christian?

. . my take on being saved by faith - from my letter to Bible correspondence course students in prison:
. . Jesus was sent to cleanse us from sin, so that we could be with God and He could be with us. That is the ‘why’ of the atonement, the reason He gave His life in sacrifice - so that our personal sins could be forgiven, so that our individual wrongdoing could be washed clean.
. . How He accomplished that - the 'how' of the atonement - was by being made sin/a-sin-offering* for us (2Corinthians 5:21), taking the full and final punishment for sin upon Himself - death
      - not only physical death but spiritual death - separation from God.
      (Matt 27:6; Mark 15:34 - from Psalm 22:1, a Messianic psalm)
. . Because of who He is - the eternal Son of God who became a real, unfallen human being - the value of His atonement has no limit; it is more than enough for everyone - forever.
. . Genuine, saving faith is a heart-deep belief/trust in Jesus Christ and what He has done for us, a heart-deep devotion/allegiance to Him.
. . By faith in Him - by entrusting ourselves to Him - our hearts, our very souls, become joined to Him. His sacrifice then counts for us - our guilt erased, our penalty/debt paid
. . through this faith we have a heart-deep bond with Him - so that we are united to Him - ‘in Christ’ - we are joined to Him as He now is, both crucified and risen (Romans 4:25) - and so His sacrificial death counts for us & we become partakers of His eternal resurrection - He Himself becomes our salvation
      (1Corinthians 1:30-31)
. . this faith will become evident in our lives - however falteringly - since it will effect our most basic understanding, values and priorities
. . as has been said: “The faith which alone saves - is never alone.”
*. . when the Hebrew word for ‘sin’ occurs in the context of the Old Covenant sacrificial system, it is often translated ‘sin-offering’ - because that is what it’s referring to in that context . . a few examples: Exodus 29:10-14, 36; Leviticus 4:3,24,29

    • @jimstewart919
      @jimstewart919 Před 8 měsíci

. . the gospel tells us for salvation to believe/trust not only what Jesus did for us - but to believe/trust in Him - the Christ/Messiah-The prophesied, anointed King-The eternal Son of God - the Lord, in the full Scriptural sense
. . so for those who come to genuinely/savingly believe - turning to follow Him is simply the effect/fruit of that faith . . and though we are still in the flesh (our fallen/sinful nature), the fruit of that living faith will be evident in our lives, despite our failures - we are works in progress
. . but it is that genuine, living faith in Jesus Christ that saves us
      - because it is through that heart-deep trust/allegiance that we have a heart-deep bond with Him - by entrusting ourselves to Him, our hearts, our souls, cleave unto Him, are joined/united to Him
      - and so we are ‘in Christ’
. . and so we become partakers of His sacrificial death & eternal resurrection

    • @jimstewart919
      @jimstewart919 Před 8 měsíci

. . if anyone desires genuine, living, saving faith - or is not sure if they have it - we can humbly/trustingly seek it from the Lord:
      - for those who believe are born of God (John 1:12-13)
      - God the Father brings-us-forth/gives-birth-to-us by the word of truth (James 1:17-18) (‘word of truth’ = ‘the gospel’ - Ephesians 1:13)
      - we are born of His Spirit, through His word (John 3:7-8, 1Peter 1:23-25)
      - faith is also described as a freely given gift of His grace to us (Eph 2:8-10; Phil 1:29) . . and 1Corinthians 1:30 - of God are we in Christ - being united to Christ through faith is to be ‘in Christ’
. . and I’m convinced that just as the Lord did not turn away the blind seeking sight (Matt 20:29-34; Mark 10:46-52; Luke 4:17-21) - so too, in His grace & mercy, He will not turn anyone away who wants to see-to know-the truth (1Tim 2:3-4) - and so find rest for their souls, becoming partakers of the living water (Matt 11:28; John 7:37; 2Cor 4:3-6)
. . God does not have mercy on us because we are good - He has mercy on us in order to make us good

Pastor Peters has , as many other pastors, taken the responsibility to point to us believers, which ministers are teaching non biblical truths and are condemned by God’s law standards, yet, he has not perfectly done so. I reject his calling false who is or are not. EXAMPLE: He has in his list of false teacher a wonderful Christian woman who uses only biblical verses for her emotional books, that are full of the great love that Jesus has for us and what He has given and fulfilled for us, the pure gospel and the assurance of God’s presence and joy, and peace, and rest in Him. The Scriptures are her only inspiration and her life, full of dedication with God’s guidance in her writings, attest to her love for God, His scriptures and His people. Mrs. Sarah Young writings are a joy to read and the love of Jesus is in all her written pages. She is a true Christian and child of God. She, with her minister husband have been missionaries ,preaching the true gospel of our Lord, and faithfully giving Him praises, thanksgiving , glory and His love teachings to all. Her many Devotionals , naming few: Jesus Today, JesusCalling and Jesus Always , precious to all who read them, especially women who love Jesus, has not been read , I am sure, by pastor Justin Peters because if he had, he would not mis-represent her as a false teacher, because the Bible that she writes about is not a false book, it is the Word of God.

This is the first time I heard about zero compromise and the first time I heard about Justin Peters, I was listening to yout conversation and I agree with most Justin Peters said, and I can see that he has a good knowledge of the scriptures when he said that goats cannot turn into a sheep, a sheep is always a sheep even before he is saved.. that is exactly true and Jesus revealed that in the parable of Wheat and Tares... Jesus revealed that the sheep(wheat) are the children of God literally and the goats(Tares) are the children of the devil literally... Jesus revealed in this parable that there are only 2 kinds of people in the world, the children of God literally and the children of the devil literally.. The children of God are the descendants of Adam because Adam is the true son of God in Luke 3:38.
Therefore the doctrine that we are little gods is biblically true, because the children of God are little gods.. But only the descendants of Adam are little Gods...
Psalm 82:6 proves this: God Himself said:
"I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High."

This is the major problem with so many “believers” today when they talk about “being converted”. Christ was not looking to make converts but was looking for disciples. What’s the difference? The only requirement for a convert is that you simply believe by giving mental ascent to the preliminary requirements that we all must meet, such as repentance, baptism, and taking the sacrament etc.. But a true disciple is someone who has forsaken everything that they have (Luke 14:33). This is something that you do not just give mental ascent to but it is something that one needs to experience. How a person obtains to this calling may be different but the goal and life transforming experience will be the same for all. When is the last time you heard this preached in any church? This is crucial to one even understanding what it means to be born again. So just like the young rich man who kept the law and seemed to have everything but yet lacked one thing, all these educated men and women who have their degrees and doctorates seem to have everything but yet lack one thing. Many are called, but few are chosen!

some thoughts on ‘repentance unto life’ (Acts 5:30-31, 11:17-18, 2Timothy 2:24-25):
. . in Scripture, repentance basically means both a change of mind/thinking and a change in direction - which God gives/grants to us, in His mercy & grace
. . when we are initially saved, God first opens up our minds to know who Jesus Christ is - the one eternal Son of the one true God - the Lord - and what He has done for us
. . God then gives us a heart-deep faith/trust in Jesus Christ, a heart-deep devotion/allegiance to Him (through which we are united to Him - ‘in Christ’ - becoming partakers of His sacrificial death for us & eternal resurrection)
. . and the effect/fruit of that is we turn to follow Him
. . which will be evident in our lives - despite our failures, being hindered by our yet being fallen ‘in ourselves’
. . God does not have mercy on us because we are good, He has mercy on us in order to make us good - we are works in progress

. . sometimes ‘repent/repentance’ is used in a broad sense which includes faith - as in turning away from trusting in false gods, turning back to the true God by trusting in Christ (e.g., Acts 11:17-18, 17:29-31, 20:21, 26:17-20)

some thoughts on ‘repentance unto life’ (Acts 5:30-31, 11:17-18, 2Timothy 2:24-25):
. . repentance basically means both a change of mind/thinking and a change in direction - in God’s mercy & grace, He gives/grants it to us
. . when we are initially saved, God first opens up our minds to know who Jesus Christ is - the one eternal Son of the one true God - the Lord - and what He has done for us
. . God then works in us a heart-deep faith/trust in Jesus Christ, a heart-deep devotion/allegiance to Him (through which we are united to Him - ‘in Christ’ - becoming partakers of His sacrificial death for us & eternal resurrection)
. . and the effect/fruit of that is we turn to follow Him
. . which will be evident in our lives - despite our failures, being hindered by our yet being fallen ‘in ourselves’
. . God does not have mercy on us because we are good, He has mercy on us in order to make us good - we are works in progress

    • @jimstewart919
      @jimstewart919 Před 10 měsíci

. . if anyone is unsure whether they have genuine, living, saving faith - we can humbly/trustingly seek it from the Lord
. . for those who believe are born of God (John 1:12-13) - God the Father brought-us-forth/gave-birth-to-us by the word of truth (James 1:17-18) (‘word of truth’ = ‘the gospel’ - Ephesians 1:13) - we are born of His Spirit, through His word (John 3:7-8, 1Peter 1:23-25)
. . faith is also described as a freely given gift of His grace to us (Eph 2:8-10; Phil 1:29) . . and 1Corinthians 1:30 - of God are we in Christ - being united to Christ through faith is to be ‘in Christ’
. . and I’m convinced that just as Jesus did not turn away the blind seeking sight (Matt 20:29-34; Mark 10:46-52; Luke 4:17-21) - so too, in His grace & mercy, He will not turn anyone away who wants to see-to know-the truth (1Tim 2:3-4) - and so find rest for their souls, becoming partakers of the living water (Matt 11:28; John 7:37; 2Cor 4:3-6)

Repentance in relation to salvation is simply going from unbelief to belief

    FAITH ALONE!!

What a stupid way to define repentance. Was it Joseph prince who taught you that?
Let me teach you about it from the bible:
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
By the exposition of the sermon, the person has to feel convicted of their sins, how is someone convicted? By remembering their evil deeds and knowing you are guilty and need a saviour.
Repentance is knowing you WILL GO TO HELL for your evil actions and NEED A SAVIOUR to forgive you so that you may not end there. But again.... what can we do if people follow evil teachers......
Stay with scripture and dont listen to evil teachers, SOLA SCRIPTURA

That’s not me defining it, that’s what the word actually means (the irony of you calling that stupid)
Joseph Prince certainly doesn’t believe in faith alone
The word repentance means to change your mind.
You changing your mind is you going from unbelief to belief
No where in the Bible does it say to repent of your sins
Again, the irony of you calling that stupid
I’m not here to argue or be ugly, just trying to make sure the gospel of salvation is clear and it’s simply about BELIEF so says the the Bible… 1 John 5:13
      God bless

Amen. Accepting Jesus as the only way of salvation apart from any works, Romans 4:5, Romans 11:6, Acts 16:31. Repentance is going from unbelief to belief. John 3:18. Believers are no longer condemned to hell. But UNBELIEVERS are CONDEMNED already because they have not BELIEVED on the name of the Son of God.
Saved forever or not saved at all. Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, First Corinthians 15:1-4, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Repentance A change of attitude and action from sin toward obedience to God. The concept of repentance differs slightly in the Hebrew and Greek minds, but an emphasis upon right behavior is consistent throughout.
