I have not 'seen' one better but I've heard one better. Listen to a 1935 recording of this piece by the great but under appreciated Claudia Muzio. It is stunning and heartbreaking.
Se non si brucia per sbagliare repertorio, abbiamo uno dei migliori soprani dei prossimi vent'anni. Timbro, presenza, bellezza, suoni ben girati e soprattutto non strilla e non è pettegola nella voce. Adorabile.
Indeed, but it is very sad to see her in the deplorable production of the opéra de Paris wearing a jogging and sweat shirt, she deserves so much better 😢
Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, Nadine Sierra is being hailed as one of the most promising, young talents in opera today. She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.
Artista absoluta.
@@Frozenfan1965 It's not about the air, but about the interpretation and stability of the voice she sings. If I didn't know what was going on with the character, I would have thought that she was just depressed... No soprano can compare with Maria Callas who deliberately shook her voice to show that Violetta is dying czcams.com/video/7rxLnweoHG0/video.html Thanks for Tuberculosis I didn't know how to spell it in English.
@@ninastaiger1953 I do not argue, she has a very beautiful voice, excellent technique and gorgeous appearance 🥰👍👍 Yes, perhaps, due to the large size of the Metropolitan Opera, it is better not to risk it and direct the voice to the last row of balconies as it should.
Her acting is so good even while she is maintaining a marvelous sound. God I love this woman
Nadine is the new goddes of opera
❤one of my favorites now❤
I have seen "La Traviata" many, many times all over the world but I have never seen anyone better in this scene. I was stunned by the performance.

IMO one of the best Violetta ever heard. Blessed to have seen her in live performance in Paris in Feb 2024. Outstanding

A classic operatic lament, magnificently sung by a great singer.

Do terminally ill women scream like that at the top of their lungs?😂
ㅠㅠㅠ
But she sounds sharp for almost the whole song mos
Intonation..sharp
Esp the last note. It's like all the marketing just outweighs any singing.... incredible.
is she sweating?
I didn’t know Meghan Markle sung opera?!
yep!
I think it was lip synch
@@sealand000 that’s not Megan Markle, i was joking. it’s Nadine Sierra
@@lamb4mc Yes, so was I :)
Is this a woman dying from tuberculosis ❓️ In this voice need to sing "Ritorna vincitor"
Tuberculosis. Only in Opera can you use your last breath to sing an aria. 😅

This is opera folks and this is a great voice! The Metropolitan Opera house is huge.A voice has to be able to be heard in the Family Circle!
