  • Removing the entire front bumper is NOT required. If I can do it, you can do it! My dad joins me on this video, and this is his 2011 Cadillac CTS. Together we had the job done in just over an hour. We paid $21 for the bulb, and thus saved over three hundred dollars, since the dealership wanted $332.00 to do the job. And we had a good time doing this project together. This video will show you every step from start to finish. I hope this helps you too. I welcome your comments. Please see my other videos and subscribe to my channel. Here's a link where you can purchase the headlamp: amzn.to/2MRHryE. And purchase replacement trim fasteners here: amzn.to/2Gpghvd

After watching your video I decided to give it a try after getting price quotes ranging from $380 to $500. I’m not a mechanic but a 64 year old woman who had my 86 year old father with dementia as an assistant. That being said I do know my way around cars. This is definitely a fiddly job that requires patience, bruises, and some colorful language to accomplish. We could have had it done in 2.5 to 3 hours but the parts store sold me the wrong bulb ( even though I had the part number.) . But I got it done and saved $320 !

Thank you so much. I am a 23 year old and I managed to pull this off with some help of course but it was pretty simple. It all just looks harder than it actually is.

I have watched six videos on how to do this project. This was the best video of all of them.

Thanks a million! Noticed the low beam was out last night and flipped through the owner's manual... You know you're in for it when that part isn't there LOL... I watched the video and cruised right through the replacement.

This video saved me $$$! My 2012 CTS was slightly different but very close to this one. What a massive pain in the ass to do this but beats paying the dealer over $300 bucks. Park your car in a quiet spot or garage and take your time. I did both bulbs while I was at it. Thank you!

AWESOME video! Can't believe how hard GM made it to change a lightbulb in the CTS. I got a few quotes to replace the bulb and they were all over $300. This video was clear and fun to watch. And thanks to this vid I now have two working headlights at a small fraction of the cost if I went to a mechanic. You guys are great! Thanks for posting this.

Thank you! I decided to do this myself, as my husband lacks the patience for such a delicate job😂 I didn’t want to end up with a broken bumper when things didn’t work out the way they were supposed to. It took me about 2 hours, but I got the bulb replaced and everything put back in order. I have a 2009 Cadillac CTS, and somethings were a little different, but I was still able to figure it out and change the bulb.

Thanks to the both of you. Watching and seeing father and son team working together was beautiful. My Dad didn't have the patience for this type of work but I sure remember simonizing the station wagon with him. I'll now work on my CTS sport wagon's headlight tomorrow, nah, I'll wait and do it with my son. Hope you and your Dad are doing well.

I did it on my 2012 thanks to your video! Saved myself $400 (which a certain nationwide service center charges). Although I did the job alone, it's easier on your hands if you have someone holding the bumber out.
