- We decided to make another unboxing video tutorial for the EW-46 by E-Wheels. This recreational 4 wheel scooter can reach top speeds of up to 13 mph according to the specs but we have seen them go faster so be careful! Especially when taking turns.
If you order one of these scooters from Mobilitydirect.com you can expect it to show up on a wooden pallet and you will need plenty of open space to get it going. Please follow along with this video and let us know if you have any questions.
The EW46 Scooter is capable of supporting up to 400 lbs, and can travel up to 35 miles on a full charge. The scooter runs off of 4x 12 volt SLA batteries and they are wired in series to provide 48 volts to the motor. We have many videos for this scooter and the 3-wheel version known as the EW-36.

I like your honest reviews, you do a nice job. Does this scooters and ones like it capable of going inside grocery stores and malls without complaints? Depending on store policy of course.
Thank you for watching and commenting! Sometimes large, heavy-duty scooters can be a little too big to maneuver through stores etc. But if it's spacious enough, it's no problem! The EW-46 and others similar are great for outdoor adventures as well.

Do you bring scooters out to people to let them try it out so they would no which one would work best for them?
That is a great idea! However, we are not able to do in-home appointments as of right now. If you are in South Florida, we would love for you to come by!
Does it have a free drive or neutral switch for pushing it onto a trailer, for example?
The EW-46 doesn't have a freewheel lever, but you can push it, just make sure the brake isn't engaged!
Can a canopy be attached to the top of EW 46? And can a trailer be attached to the back of scooter also?
Unfortunately, no. It doesn't have a hitch receiver. I would recommend the Afiscooter C4. We have a ton of videos on that model.

No you don't. It's also worthy to know that you should not be driving these on the main road. They are only meant for sidewalks, or bike lanes. These are not meant to share the road with automobiles.

Why such a noisy motor?
The mic was hot, meaning the mic was on the person riding, so it picked up the scooter motor as if though it was right next to the camera. The motor is not really that loud. It also tends to be loud in the beginning but over time as it breaks in it gets quieter. The brushes are probably just stiff from being new.
