This is a great confidence builder. I've had tractors for years but only used attachments such as hay spears, bush hogs and box blades. Buying a backhoe soon and feel intimidated to start using a backhoe with multiple controls. I've learned lots! Thanks for this!!
You literally made me a backhoe operator in a 5-minute video and about a half an hour of practice yeah I'm probably not a pro but I am getting my job done on my property with your help... I'll definitely subscribe. Thank you good sir from the Mallory family and Talent Oregon that wants a swimming pool ❤️🇺🇸🔥😎
A backhoe and front end loader tractor are not the same. A tractor is not designed to put the front end loader into the ground that way because of the position of the cylinders. Planting your loader bucket down this way is a good way to really mess up your cylinders. It's fine for a backhoe because the cylinders are positioned in a way that allows for the bucket to be planted into the ground this way
Great overview! Please confirm the direction of travel on the Dipper is reversed within the colored control pattern? I thought Dipper Out (Crowd Out) is pushing the lever away from you?
Pushing it away from you will move the Dipper out. This matches the left stick for the boom. Pushing it away from you will move the Boom Out and pulling on the left stick will move the Boom in.
Greetings from Peru, the land of Macchu picchu and Pisco Sour. Excellent video, it helped me learn how to operate my BT750. Do you have any other videos about handling the B20, I would really appreciate it since my team does not have any labels
Excellent video well done and thanks for posting. I know you are big on LS tractors, do you just happen to have the boom on the kubota or do you prefer it over the LS for this particular job?
I've owned a lot of different brands. I do enjoy the 3 point backhoes of the Kubotas. They've been very reliable little workers for everything from trenching to digging out the banks along my pond.
Yes, this Kubota does. There is quite a bit of debate over frame mounted vs 3 point backhoes. We used the tractor a lot over the summer digging out the banks of our pond. It moved a lot of dirt and never struggled.

It's much easier than my boss had me think it to be. Thumbs up on this video.

Can you operate the dipperstick AND the curl controls simultaneously? Or is it one at a time?
good vid!
Can you switch the controls? CAT controls?
Are they American controls? The backhoe control pattern?
yes they are.
Does your tractor have the reinforcing frame attachment?
Yes, this Kubota does. There is quite a bit of debate over frame mounted vs 3 point backhoes. We used the tractor a lot over the summer digging out the banks of our pond. It moved a lot of dirt and never struggled.
