I never seen anyone who portrays the love between 2 men more beautiful than Mads can do. Its breathtaking. Same in Hannibal. 😢

I love the way it's Grindelwald who breaks the fight on the ending by lowering his magic wand first and getting a step closer to Dumbledore. As if, like always, he's the one in control. But gets rejected.

I have to admit that I really prefer Mads Mikkelsen for the Grindelwald Dumbledore fell in love with. I think he has more chemistry with Jude Law than Johnny Depp had.

Agree. Their chemistry carried the whole movie. I love Johnny, he always gives his roles a little of that eccentric mad hatter vibe. He‘s very captivating in a different way. But Mads is the master at portraying bone chilling evil while interweaving it with a very touching vulnerability and emotion. It’s the Hannibal formula. And imo that was exactly the right approach to make both of Grindelwald‘s sides so believable.
Me too, although Mads and Johnny are my favorite, I prefer Mads

I think Mads Mikkelsen was a better option for this role, he brings so much emotion to Grindelwald and Dumbledore's relationship, which i don't think Johnny Depp could really portray
