    I'm definitely not a Kia guy or a minivan guy, but if I had a growing family over 5, I'd buy this over teh Oddyssey or Sienna any day!

      Brandon Friesen In terms of older minivans, I like the Chrysler minivans. However in terms of 2010’s minivans, I like the Sedona more.

    Own the 2018 Sedona in EX trim level. Front passenger leg room much better than competition and this was deciding factor along with the fact that my wife who does all the driving didn’t like the dash on the Odyssey. The ride, fit and finish and quality of materials on the Sedona are first rate. A lot of value for your dollars. Residual value non issue as we will not trade or privately sell......we will own and drive this long after its 10 year/100K mile warranty is up. Having our family own and drive the Sedona, Sonata, Rio, Soul, Sportage, and Optima vehicles from Hyundai/Kia, quite impressive quality and value on display in these Korean manufactured vehicles over the past 10 years.

    The 2015 KIA Sedona has a much more advanced technology package than the 2015 Toyota Sienna and 2015 Honda Odysey. AND it's also significantly less expensive in price.
    Most people who buy minivans don't want AWD, so it's not a disadvantage for the KIA Sedona.

      UltimateDriver True. AWD is unneeded for MPVs unless you live in Alaska.

  • @cadsux

    It may not be the roomiest nor most fuel efficient van, but it's the fastest, best handling, with the shortest braking distances. Add to that, good IIHS crash test scores on par with the Honda Odyssey, while the other vans only rate "acceptable" or "poor'.

    He has never owned one. My late wifes wheelchair fit nicely as does my photography equipment and my current wifes parents, 80's, can enter and exit easily. Fuel economy is better than a crossover also.

    Owned a 2015 SX since 2015. First one my dealer sold of the new model. No issues at all at 85,000 miles. Hope it will last 200,000 like our 2008 Optima it replaced.

    The stow and go seating of Chrysler is not for somebody looking for a comfortable seating. Thus, it's not an advantage over other minivans.

    I am disappointed with Mazda for abandoning their MPV mini van we had one that lasted 15 or more years and replaced it with another used MPV but they discontinued the MPV in 2008 I am asking why? their is so much more that could be improved and updated on this reliable van just a shame because my experience with Mazda was outstanding just pure Quality reliability and performance

    I wanted to get a Toyota Sienna but chose the Kia instead only for the fact that the Toyota Sienna I had before gave me issues with alignment and had so many different various recalls in which I didn’t appreciate finding out only after the purchase which intially left me with a lemon

    Its the minivan that should be known as the smart car. Not really sure why those tissue box on wheels ever got that title. I'd take pretty much any current minivan on the market as they all provide smart comfortable features. This one looks very nice. 👍

    Does anyone know why the gas mileage on the Sedona SXL is much lower than the on the SX?

  • @Handiman544
    @Handiman544 Před 8 lety +1

    I like the front but not the back. It's been for sale for over a year and I don't see many on the road yet. I drive a lot and don't see them on the road anywhere. Making vehicles higher makes them less stable at high speeds. SUVs flip over a lot in accidents. The 2003-20013 look great...I love the European styling. The 2016 is too boxy looking. Looks like all the rest of them now. Terrible gas mileage for when gas goes up again...and it will.

    Disappointing no AWD offering with the increased ground clearance this has over the others. Big issue in certain regions of the country.

    • @SearchEast2069
      @SearchEast2069 Před 9 lety

      I don't think car companies realize the huge demand for cars with AWD or available AWD in certain parts of the US. Like here in the Northeast an AWD or 4WD car is an absolute necessity, but your options for one are extremely limited. Is either an SUV, Crossover, pickup, a Subaru, or a German luxury car with AWD like Audi, and theres ALOT of people who want AWD but for various reasons don't want or cant afford any of those vehicles. Seriously, an AWD minivan would sell like hotcakes here.

      I have a 06 Sedona 3.8L with 128,000 miles and love it. Between ice fishing, my photography equipment and hiking gear it serves me well. It would be nice if it was AWD and had a bit more round clearance.

    • @omarns
      @omarns Před 9 lety +4

      because it really inst, they sold less than 10000 last year and the quest copied the Ford flex design and did a horrible job at it

    • @TimJoseph08031990
      @TimJoseph08031990 Před 9 lety

      Omarbadman Coco The first two generations of the Nissan Quest had Ford parts, since Ford made the Mercury Villager minivan. It's strange that the Ford Windstar was a different design though in the 1990s through early 2000s. My family used to own a 1997 Nissan Quest GXE, but now we have the 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L w/DVD and Navigation.

      +Lachlan Cook Totally. He's also showing his age and attitude by constantly referring to it as a mom-mobile, a car only made for women that Dad will sometimes drive when he's not driving his mid-life-crisis-mobile.
