I forgot to include a segment about the newest Clorinde change and I don't want to go back and waste another day on it so I'll put it here. The nerf in duration on her skill now fits appropriately with the ~9s rotation most other characters have when including her burst. Using her burst isn't a DPS loss either, they just made it a requirement for her now and compensated for any possible DPS loss with a minor damage buff.
is the change to 7.5 seconds really that little of a deal? I saw a lot of doomposting for it

Some already calculated the possible DMG loss from shorting her duration already, it is 17%. The damage buff only yields 7% overall so it's a nerf. What I dislike is that it seems to force me to use 4TF on her to ensure smooth rotations. Now her playstyle is so close to KQ whom I maxed out everything on her so I may just get a copy of her instead of c2. Considering Neuvi and Alec, both have no elemental downtime. I have no idea why the nerf? Not everybody is happy to pinpoint the team rotations to match her E CD perfectly.
What I also heard is that 7.5 sec duration of the skill is going to feel quite short in practice. the reason is that in comparison, Raiden Q being 7 seconds is actually 10 seconds in practice due to hitlag extending it, however Clorinde does not have hitlag, so Clorinde actually lasts less than Raiden.

I've never heard anyone refer to Furina as a "defensive" support..?
If anything she's the most *offensive* support ever, she increases your dmg by a ton at the cost of constantly draining your hp, how is she a defensive unit? unless you mean her healing form?🤔
I think the Healing Bonus that Furina provides serves as the pseudo defense he was talking about

if 4* isn't a buffer of sort, I don't care. After the first gen 4* which is broken, any 4* DPS is just there to fill in the roster numbers per region. I usually build he or she if I really like the design or backstory.

Seeing that average trivializes everything in the game it's more important to be fun to play and capable than power creep the rest of the cast.

And with such game breaking units as Neuvilette releasing, its all the MORE reason for new characters to not be shit because, yknow, some of us don't like to roll for Neuvilette and still want to get some feeling of power progression on our account , preferably in a way that opens up new teams instead of : keqing sidegrade down to the exact same teams and artifacts, 4 star dps , and meme character

Just the feeling of power progression on the account owing to new characters definitely will be power creep if it's in the kit rather than the artifacts. So, that's possibly what they would attempt to avoid. (Even though they obviously messed up with nearly every other Fontaine character lol)

not really, she is a zhongli promotion. her geo core does double of albedo's damage without burst. and with 4pc husk her Q hits hard enough that you can actually use it unlike albedo's. direct powercreep.
It depends on your team and its capabilities, really. There's a sweet spot for Zhongli usage... where you do enough damage that the DPS loss he is doesn't matter, but you don't do enough that his shield doesn't matter. Me, I have no reason to run Zhongli with my Navia. His inclusion wouldn't add anything worthwhile to the team, while making it worse. Also, the character he'd be replacing would actually be Navia.
They should have made Sethos a dedicated Support for Cyno, like Faruzan is for Xiao and Wanderer. Someone who could maintain Cyno's ult even after changing characters or even act as a backup battery.
Why couldnt Sethos be better. All these Nerfs are gonna make more go to wuthering waves

Usage rates are a terrible metric.
It does not show everyone who owns the unit, it also heavily skews results. If only one registered person uses say Diona, Diona means she gets a 100% usage rate and her ranking skyrockets for no reason other then the people the usage rate app registers.
Baizhu is just nahida stripped of DPS and with lover Dendro application. IF you don't need sustain utility - he's kinda meh. He does boost furina fanfare gain, but for that to matter you need HP drain somewhere in your team.

@@jewwmjewwm2128 It's kinda a minor thing when compared to everything nahida does. If you run aggravate, then you might just have enough electro anyway, and in hyper bloom electro damage isn't that big due to blooms stealing aggravates. Not to mention that in both comps you might just not get enough dendro from Baizhu as a sole dendro.
I’m curious, Candace on sumuru craft-able spear isn’t good? On noblesse and spear that’s 52% attk and 30% normal bonus (if built properly for ER)

One of my accounts is missing both kokomi and baizhu, so that account will probably pull for sigewinne. I try to pull for different characters on each account, so each account feels different to play. The exception is both accounts pull archons. This also let me alternate which account was pulling and which was in saving mode, as for a long time we were in a pattern of 1new/1rerun + 2rerun 5* banners per patch. Both accounts are old enough to skip reruns.

4:00 Baizhu literally increases Hyperbloom damage by 100% and Aggravate damage by 40%, how is he not contributing damage to the team. He also just does off-field Dendro damage. He also lets Furina easily max out Fanfare stacks.
His passiv is a adittive bonus not a multiplicative

Sigewinne also received a buff to her hydro application.
According to a video by Chibi's Wanderer Teapot and a video by jstern25, her hydro application from her bubble elemental skill has no ICD which means that she can apply hydro from every bubble hit for a total amount of 5 hydro application.
@@ShevaAlpha2002that is actually incorrect. Her application is a strange case because she applies Hydro every other hits (still better than standard ICD). If C0 she hits for 5 and applies 3 times C1 applies 4 times

I like Clorinde and her Japanese VA, but I’m on the fence now. I already have C3 Raiden and a Yae Miko both with their weapons too. So might just save for Murata
It has caught my attention for a long time, like a slight difference in damage or any detail, they see it in one way or another depending on the character.
If the character is not meta, any detail, no matter how small, is enough to call it bad, but if the character is meta, they are not able to point out their negative points with the same severity as when the character is not meta.
You make a ridiculous difference between sig and chiori and it already seems to you that the latter was replaced?

@@AfterAFashionASMR In theater you need to build teams with elemental restrictions. For a team to work you need a working core, preferably from the same element so that the restrictions don't apply. Within hydro I only know Yelan+XQ and Furina+Neuvillette that work no matter the rest of the team. By replacing Neuvillette with Siegwinne you can use Neuvillette with other random characters. Since he's so powerful and flexible, he can deal with it. Siegwinne basically becomes an additional Neuvillette, which is a huge deal in theater, since you are almost certainly required to build characters that aren't "great". - To me it becomes meta-defining when you realize that older carries rely on their elemental buffer, while fontaine carries can be used across all reactions. This is one half of the team. A buffer that buffs all elements (Furina) in combination with their dedicated support (Siegwinne) can form the other half of the team. Theoretically Bennet could get a dedicated support within pyro that doesn't power-creep anybody. -> Hoyo gains a character that doesn't decrease the value of previous characters.
Not really. Kokomi can do what she does with thrilling tales for 48% atk buff or even hakushin. Kokomi is more flexible and she’s good as her own dps.
Kokomi only has on-field teamwide heal. With C2 Furina her off field heal might be enough though. With meta defining I don't mean she's the best character (that's a weird term anyways when you need to use 50% of the whole character roster), but that she could be a character that is designed to be valuable specifically for theater and define how future characters could be like. - but it's highly speculative anyways. I can't wait to see how theater will change the perception of all the characters.

Pair Sethos with Dendro Traveller, Dori, and Venti/Kazuha depending on enemy type. No need for anemo then use Yelan. These are who I’ll be using when I get Sethos.

In most circumstances, it would very easily. Furina, Nahida, and Yae can all do decent damage, and do so while on or off-field. So those three will just kill things, no need to worry about rotation, no need to worry about grouping. That mob next to you? Dead. That mob across the room? Also dead. That said, the team would be better off without Siggy. Her charges would be quickly eaten by the three characters, and you could run another character that brings more to the team instead.

Is Alhaitham/Nahida/Sigewinne/Kuki a good quickbloom team?
This will mostly be just Al Haitham quicken since there won't be enough hydro application to generate dendro cores for hyperbloom. Two healers also is an overkill
@@gravityhurts2910Well, if Alhaitham is going to use Harbinger of Dawn as his weapon choice (low base attack doesn't matter to him since he scales of EM), Alhaitham's HP needs to be consistently about 90% to get the full value of HoD. So, having a shielder like Zhongli or at least one healer like Kuki will help a lot on maintaining Alhaitham's HP above 90%.

@@ShevaAlpha2002In my experience, using Haitham with Kuki as a sole healer works fine for HoD, however if you intend to use Furina instead she won't suffice. I really don't see a reason why to use both Kuki and Sigewine together tbh, in that case you are better off just swapping Kuki for Raiden or even Yae since the Quicken aura will be prevalent with Sigewine anyway.

People are silly when it comes to beta characters. They were the same about Arl. The reality is that, since Ganyu, Hoyoverse has set target numbers based on role and rarity (actual rarity, not fake five stars like Traveler and Aloy) for characters. And while their designers aren't the best, they are good enough to hit those target numbers. So if a character is clearly an on-field DPS, the damage numbers aren't really anything to worry about.
Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't other considerations, like how the character plays, ST vs AoE, and the team they'll need. That can negatively impact things, like with Yoimiya, Cyno, or an anemo DPS (who'd want C6 Faruzan). And then there's them being idiots and making Neuv hp scaling, thereby turning him into a tank mage. So those sorts of things are really the more important thing to pay attention to when it comes to on-field DPS characters during their beta period.
People also said that Kazuha was bad before his release, they said the same about Raiden, Furina and many other characters.

Well, Baizhu can buff aggravate dmg by 40% when in ult, heal the whole team by an insane amount of damage and give a resistance interruption up to 5 or 6 time (Xingqiu can only tank 4 at C1)
Furthermore he is dendro so you can play aggravate AND swirl electro (Nahida's application is to high for it) and you don't have to worry about his ER thanks to prototype amber, electro resonance and Fischl. But if aggravate isn't your thing and you prefer playing Furina then he heals the team to keep everyone alive

I don't get how Furina is one of Clorinde's best supports but all the healers of the game are bad, ever heard of bleed ? I don't see why doing no damage is necessarily a thing to avoid, in my opinion confort and survivability are important too
I think Hoyo has lowered Clorinde's self heal so we have to consider bringing a healer in our team at one point (if I didn't understand her kit properly just ignore this little part, elsewise there's my point)

Chlorinde did great dmg, self heal, had fun gameplay and now chlorinde does great dmg, has great self heal and fun gameplay -1.5 seconds. Like, who cares bro? In the grand scheme of things, and rlly think abt it, her rotations are quicker and u now have a reason to use her burst to fill in downtime. She’s still good.
Sethos and sige tho are just there to be there. Hoyo fans complain when released chars are too good and forces them to pull, then complains when chars are bad cuz now they dont want to pull. Just pull if u like lol.
