In the beginning of the year it’s SACKS. By the end of the year, teams sell out on Garrett and it’s just pressures.
If they are going to double team and chip and throw the ball under 2.5 then Garrett can’t get there. If you pressure up the middle and make QB hold it. The sack will come.
Idk if anyone from the show reads yt comments but whem discussing who might get cut for ika to stay they should take a look at guarantees in the contract for it cuz it tells you its either hurst or ika

If Michael Hall becomes what we hope, AB will have essentially managed to get a franchise QB & 3 first round picks without drafting in the first round. Emerson Jr, Big Thanos, Hall.
You gotta remember too.. OSU D-Line men have a pretty good track record in the NFL.
Hall Jr was a good pick because they dont have an interior pass rusher like this on the roster. Harris and Hurst get home but this is a different type of athlete. Good chance he finds himself on 3rd and longs in the rotation early in the season and maybe his role grows. I know they signed Jefferson, but him or Hurst might be odd man out. And the Briggs kid they took in the 7th, might actually be a gem. Idk if he makes 53 but if he balls out like coaches and scouts think, then he has to because stashing him will be almost impossible.
Lets come back in 3 years and grade this class. Fans should never be upset if you're drafting in the trenches. Not sexy but thats winning football.
I think that Ika has to beat out or out last Harris. A crafty vet but he isn't a pass rusher and wasn't super dominate last year. Ika was a project and should be ready body and conditioning wise to make an impact this year.

Here’s the issue though… if he has 8 sacks and more tackles… he’s a 1st rounder.
I think Kyle's Garrett gets burned out at the end of the year because he is playing too many snaps early and because he is the most held defensive linemen in football and it plays a significant reason he wears down by the end of the year.
Myles is beat up by the 8th game The other Defensive linemen need to apply more pressure and get more sacks
Statistically speaking this is a stretch not a steal.
Arron Donald was considered undersized for a standard dt when he was coming into the league. I'm not saying Hall is Donald. Hall has only earned his chance to compete for a spot right now. He will put on more weight with the pro trainers and has a good group to learn from. Future player or backup pick with this year to learn and get some rotational reps.

I am tired of hearing that Mike Hall, Jr is small for his position. He is not. Several sources reported that he was 299 lbs at the combine and 6'3" tall. Now it's 1 LB to 300. He's 20 for crying out loud. I think we can give him 1 LB and I do not think he's too short to play DT. Stop the talk about how small he is.
