People critiquing the internet on the internet is wild
Inception like
ISN'T IT IRONIC?
Where would you prefer it then? It's like says, lol people living on earth complaining about global warming on earth.
If it was done anywhere else it'd be irrelevant. People would not listen. Would not hit as strong.
It just means you're a boomer
Bo is a genius in that he doesnt just do comedy, it's an entire theatrical performance... his songs are catchy and funny but then you're hit with the deeper messages and you cant stop thinking about it for a week
More like months, this song has been stuck in my head from the beginning and it ain't leaving anytime soon. Got a good portion of those lyrics memorized pft
It will take half a year to forget. Seriously every time I look at the phone I keep hearing the song. And are we sure that he isnt the joker on musical steroids. I mean the evil laugh
Satirical is one way to put Bo's songs and its seriously relevant too
So true
@Meade Vlog channel you're entitled to your wrong opinion
Love the realization at the end. Like "Oh shit, we're making a podcast, we're directly involved with that too!"
The fact that we're so integrated was something the people who created thought the internet would be good for, but it's such a curse. I feel bad for the younger ones.
Yeah, complete sad realization at the end, just watched the social dilemma as well and it's quite scary
i was born in 01 and had very strict parents so i didnt have a smartphone or constant access to the internet until i was like 13 and at first it was great youkno? never bored again, then i got empathy exhaustion and at age 19 still dealing with it
@@lexizzaz damn, definitely feel you on this
@@lexizzaz Huh.... I was born in 99, and I never got empathy exhaustion. Just Cynicism.
@@funnyman10912 i got that too hhh
The whole special is a masterpiece.
I like it when my comedy specials give me an identity crisis
I watched it yesterday evening. It was so good. ^^
@@dubproduction879 I went in every direction emotionally during my watch. Finally broke down when he went "i'm not okay..." That hit me like a ton of bricks. I hope Bo finds peace in his mind. The special was spectacular! I hope he wins all 6 nominations he got for it. Truly deserved.
It is. He is so incredibly talented
You had the same reaction I did after watching all of INSIDE. “Damn…I need to go for a walk”. Pretty amazing special turning the mirror on us after the fucked up 2020 we all just collectively went through. I realized after watching it, that I haven’t even began to process what last year did to me mentally yet 😬
Yeah me neither, I was just like "wow" I think "All Eyes On Me" was my favorite
'It's not a good idea to put the whole world into a childs hands'
I had chills hearing this with knowing the lyrics that were about to come.
Just sat there like oh no
a lot of people go into the song expecting just a comedy song and they miss the point, i'm glad you were able to give it more insight and go in depth with it
Thanks, yeah, it's still affecting me
amazing reaction! i love how yall actually seemed to understand the message as well as enjoy the comedy aspects. if you're interested in checking out more Bo Burnham i definitely recommend "From Gods perspective" and "Art Is Dead". They're from when he was a bit younger but they still hit so hard.
Thank you! and yes we will! thanks for the recs!
@@SundayPunchPodcast Please react to these and share! I would love to watch!
This special is really good at distinguishing reactors who get it and reactors who don't. If you don't call yourself out for reacting on the internet then you missed the point.
I'd highly recommend the special which this song is in. However bear in mind the potentials for sad realizations.
If you're super keen though, I'd check out his previous special "Make Happy" first. "Inside" picks up kind of cleanly from there.
I watched "inside" last night and thought it was the best special I have ever seen. Unique, funny, and dark - right up my alley
i love how bo can create something insanely funny on the surface level, and very thought provoking on the deep end. i think the best example is 'white woman's instagram'
Great point, and I love that song as well
you should def react to “funny feeling” and “goodbye” from the inside album!! great reaction btw!
i think in the breakdown he was referring to the privatization/incorporation of the internet and the current generation of users and content creators. Kids with i-pads in their hands in 2000 would be in their 20s now and put their "insides out" there for the entertainment of peers and profits for the owners of the platform the content was created on
"This all happened so fast. It's too fast for our fledgling empathy. The tech got away from us, and we weren't ready... I don't think we're wired to handle this." Refresh Refresh Refresh.
One of the better reactions out there of this. You Picked up on the underlying tones, the intended introspection, and the overall message while staying very self aware that you’re unfortunately complicit, by no fault of your own, in this grand scheme. Great job fellas!
Thank you! Yeah, had a sad realization at the end there.
5:50 the most scary thing is... the children shows tells kids to lie, call someone dumb, to steal and to be greedy. And speaking of experience, auto play might all of the sudden show your 2 year old a halloween children song and there your kid has nightmares for years to come. Safe to say my kids don’t get to see much of the internet anymore, wich is sad because it is also a great learning tool, my kids are Norwegian but already speak pretty fluent english at the age of 4. lovely react vid tho! :D
Damn, your kids are smart as hell! I'm a native English speaker and sometimes it feels like I can barely even speak the language!
I mean, scary stuff is fine so long as it is fictional and of the right sorts. Grimm's tales, scary children books and so on.
I think it is healthy that a child experience those kind of stories (not at the age of 4 though, that is a tad too young for that) that stick in their head for a while.
Of course you don't have to listen to my suggestion, I am just a stranger from the Internet after all.
That switch from just singing to straight up villain is so amazing.
This is one of my favorite examinations of his song. You guys nailed exactly how I feel about it.
Fantastic podcast, I like how you were getting to know the lyrics instead of laughing it off or not paying attention to them. Well done lads
Awesome, thanks!
You guys are a lot more thoughtful than the thumbnail suggests. Respect ✊
Thanks!
Hats off to you guys for getting the meaning behind this! You should watch the whole special, it's a beautiful piece of art!.
Thanks for watching! Watched it last night and thought it was amazing
Watching Bo’s song on CZcams makes me feel like a piece of shit for watching it at all, it’s amazing
You guys got the best synopsis of this song by far
Thanks so much!
the internet is weirdly perfect for our minds to comprehend. it was designed to simulate infinity and were here to observe. eerily similar to the 7 deadly sins with how it simulates infinity
just discovered this podcast and im loving it omg
Thank you!!
Super strong Willy Wonka vibes going on.
No matter how many times I listen to this song, that laugh never gets less unsettling.
You guys saying that it is scary to put the world in a child's hand before he said the line in the special made me so thrilled at how well y'all picked up the meaning before he really got to it! Y'all are on it - color me impressed :)
Thanks! Just did "All Eyes on Me", will release this weekend!
I love that you used the line "put the world in your hand" before Bo did.
Bos music reminds me of pumped up kicks
At first it's a catchy tune and it's fun for the back ground but then you listen to the lyrics and you go wtf
One of the better reactions out there.
You guys are the last generation of people who grew up without the Internet, so I think what he means when he says they were waiting for "you" is the generation who grew up with the Internet and wouldn't know what its like to not have it, and they have been consumed by it
This is a great point, agree 100%
so the boomer is not that wrong....
Been looking through your channel, noticed this was your best video, I believe. Congrats on the views :)
Thank you!!
It is good that you are talking about it.
You guys dissected this very well! Please react to That’s how the World Works, it’s also part of Inside by Bo burnham and is my favorite of the whole special 👍👍
LOL @ the end. Now you're reppin' the devil eh?
Intelligent level headed commentary that still respects and enjoys the content? Imagine that.
P.S. Glare on TV is meh; Maybe flag under the TV, you both facing the TV, one laptop with camera on you two and small window in corner for y'all while we watch clean stream could be better no? Y'all let me know if you need any technical assist. I'm cheap (I take payment in Fat Tire) and the first one is free!
Amazing mic and layout but need better audio setup than watching through TV speakers 4* lads
agreed, for the next ones, I think we are just gonna dub the music over and edit in the stops
It is okay to be apathetic at times, you do not have to care about EVERYTHING.
It is okay to be bored, boredom breeds creativity.
this is the best reaction to this song i've seen
Thank you!!!!
You should also check out Brad Steele! Him and these guys hit the nail on the head with their reactions
0:38 “welm to the internet”
Great reaction video! I'm going to look for your Patreon so that you can upgrade your dial up internet.
Lmao, I know - I was pissed
I think you two would benefit from a deep dive into Jonathan Pageau here on youtube. He will blow your mind on attention, the internet, and symbolism. He has an intro to symbolism playlist. It is well worth the time.
You gotta react to "all eyes on me" from the same special. My absolute favorite
I have no social media except discord and CZcams and it has made my life better
can you react to the strokes "The adults are talking":D
Good thoughts. You should both watch the special and revisit this discussion. It’s worth it.
Will do!
React to more songs from INSIDE these show is amazing
Will do!
"its not good to put the entire world in a child's hands"
"it was always the plan yo put the world in your hands"
God that was good
You’re the first person I’ve seen to turn the analysis on yourself
bro I love that take at 6:04. I just read the 'you' in 'we were waiting for you' to mean zoomers, coming from millennials with old memories of AOL internet pre-reddit pre-youtube just single interest forums. And I thought it was kinda lazy as millennials to put this on zoomers.
the you being the user (us) in the chaotic primordial flood of users is fooooooooooo. deep bruv
The fact that I don’t have social media and I am still desensitized by the internet makes me understand what kind of bullshit I really watch every day
And now you listen to Disturbeds cover od "Sound of Silence" and you have a complete package... But make sure to listen to the live show at Conan. Even if David Dreiman had the flue whit high fever that day
ok yes, i will be that boner who complains about the cutting out of the video--next time just download it or have it fully loaded and ready to go cause i looked up "welcome to the internet reaction" and specifically hit this one because i thought the watching you ACTUALLY WATCH IT on a tv instead of a lil box in the corner was a dope change of pace.
that being said, i'm from chicago too and my buddy used to live in the apartments by the mcdonalds and the taco bell and the park. with that being said i will reduce your original sentence of a doubleshot of Malort to 1.5 because i love this "React to the actual screen" setup as an idea. subbed and lookin forward to more hot sweet dipped beefs from yall mahfukkahs 8^)
I dig it
There is no slow build to finding "the darkness" on the internet.
You can be there in a split second.
Mostly for those who know where to look, or what to look for.
@@prometheanrebel3838 the sad part is, I got good at it.
Very much regret it. I've seen shit that horrifies me. Didn't even have to go on the dark web. Shit exists easily on the clear web if you know how to use the Google search engine to its maximum capability.
I’d love to hear your take on his ‘All Eyes on Me’ video! This was great!
Was just thinking about that one, love that song, watched the special last night
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Dr Eggman the Jim Carey version 🤣
lol well now I see it
Omg, finally someone who got the fact that putting the world in someone's hands is not a good thing. I see a lot of reactors assuming this part of the song was done in praise of internet. But no one should have the world at their fingertips. It's maddening.
Please react to All Eyes on Me!
I've been wasting my battery all day at work listening to people reacting to this song all while falling for the same shit he's saying about wasting our time on the internet
dude on the right looks like Canelo Alvarez
Now if only I could box like him...
Three irony is unreal
My dude Bo wrote a song by himself sang it with out stuttering
Hot biceps!
React to more bo burnham
Just nod or shake your head and we'll do the rest.
We only have the illusion of choice about participating
React to more bo!
why would you want to watch a reaction video of someone watching something only to look at the back/ sideof their heads.... you cant even see your 'reaction'!
I can tell more from the back of a head than I can looking someone in the eyes, most of the time. But valid point, we'll be better. We are just starting
why are they so close to the tv ?
you obviously don't like to sit in the front row at movie theaters like we do
the sad thing is that the things he sings are true
It's not good for you. Hits vape.lol
Lol, good point
hii, could you guys react to a group called BLACKPINK? they are from a k-pop group. You guys can react to the songs: how you like that, kill this love, Du Du Du.
Will check them out!
Bro what is with the stuttering of the video 😂😂😂 it’s so annoyingggg
The whole point of this video is to see you, but you are facing away from the camera! Your commentary and effort is less effective because I cannot see you
we also enjoy going to the front row of the movie theater...even if it's empty
